This might be a little long, but the backstory makes the story . My kids bought a house in March, and there is cedar trim throughout. The main bathroom doesn't have a mirror (weird, right?). So I've known since March that I wanted to get them a cedar framed mirror for Christmas. Well, let me tell you, every one I could find cost anywhere from $300 - $700. That was not going to happen, so I gave up. A few weeks ago, a gentleman here in my small town put some cedar benches out on the sidewalk and he only had $75 on them. I wondered what he would charge me to frame a mirror, but I didn't have time to stop. SO, fast forward to the weekend before Christmas. I'm completely done and ready, when I see the man putting the benches out again. I thought, what the heck? I'll stop and ask. I walked in to his little shop and started to ask about a mirror, when I turned around and there it was! $35!! I think I scared the poor man when I screamed "There it is!" LOL. -- It was one of the first things the kids opened, and my DIL got so excited she was ready to go home right then and put the mirror up! I'm feeling awful that someone didn't get their gift because it was delivered to the wrong PO Box. If she'd had the tracking # a week ago, I could have still made sure she got something by Christmas. Do y'all think it would be a good idea to pass the tracking #s along to the recipients as they come in?

Housekeeping items: According to tracking #s, we have the last one out for delivery today. We do have 1 that was apparently lost in the mail . She has the tracking # and will be going to her post office today. Hopefully they get it resolved, but if they don't we'll make it right for her. There are a couple ornament recipients that have not posted they received, but the tracking #s show they were delivered. I hope they got them.

Gosh, BudgetsRSexy and BlueBear, that's a lot to handle at the holidays. Sending positive thoughts your way! I am done, done, done. I've spent the last 2 weeks candy making and cookie baking, and we all got together at Mom's this weekend to decorate the cookies. I picked up one last gift this weekend, but it was a spur of the moment thing as I was already "done", LOL, so I still have to wrap that. The rest of this week will be catching up on Hallmark Christmas movies that have stacked up on the DVR .

For next year - Is there anything you would like to see on the questionnaire that isn't already on there??

I received a surprise gift from JenDeere. Some fuzzy socks, a Christmas movie collection, and a hot cocoa mug set. I wasn't sure what they had for me to pick up at the post office, as I wasn't expecting anything. I loved it, and I am so so appreciative! Thank you!!

At this point, I don't THINK we will need any elves. YAY! I have one person I have not heard anything from as far as shipping, but one of their recipients posted received so I guess they've shipped. We have one other that has not finished shipping, but they've posted why and hopefully will be able to ship this week. We do have 4 ornaments, and 3 SS, that the tracking shows delivered but no one has posted. Please please post when you receive your package. Even if you aren't opening until Christmas.

I am one of the few people that never liked A Christmas Story. I know, it's most un-Christmas of me to admit that. LOL Yesterday, while wrapping, I watched White Christmas and Holiday Inn (as I do every year while wrapping), then the Christmas Through the Decades, and then one of the many Hallmark/Lifetime/Ion Christmas movies on the DVR.

Mine shipped today. I've PM'd the last 4, just to check in, and already heard back from 1. A couple of them haven't been logged in to GD in 2 or 3 weeks, so I hope everything is okay with them. Still hoping we won't need elves, but good to know we have some if we do need them. Wittenlover and Reinholt1, I'll see what I can do, LOL. (Now, if you do end up with each other, it's going to totally look like I rigged it )

I watched all 4 episodes yesterday while I wrapped. Thanks for pointing it out, I enjoyed it.

5 people haven't notified me they've shipped. I'm ashamed to say I'm one of them :/. I will get mine shipped Monday, and I hope to hear from the other 4 by then as well.

Does anyone else think that's weird?

Wittenlover, that's a LOT of baking. We do a lot of cookies (just sugar cookies with buttercream icing), but not THAT many. LOL Last night, I made billionaires for the first time. They are really good, so tonight I will be making another batch. Still to come are turtles, Christmas peanut butter cups, and candy coated pretzel rods. And, of course, the cookies .

I have scheduled this Sunday to wrap . It will be an all day affair. But I will put on White Christmas, then Holiday Inn, then watch a few more of the Hallmark movies on the DVR, and get it knocked out.
