  1. Hello BER months! 1st day of meteorological fall is not feeling so fall like. Today is supposed to be the hottest day of our year so far . September is a busy month. OU & OSU football starts the 4th, grandson birthday on the 4th, grandson birthday on the 7th, my birthday on the 13th, grandson birthday on the 25th, son birthday on the 28th. Phew. I'm already tired. (and we won't talk about how I listed college football before my grandson's birthday ).
  2. It's what's actually on. It's just a streaming service for those channels.
  3. Congratulations! And I know what you mean. There were 37 dresses hanging in the closet the day my son was born 30 years ago (I had not had a sonogram, but my mother was convinced it was a girl because of the heart rate, how I carried, all those old wives' tales).
  4. Walked and walked and walked. LOL I think we hit most of the highlights we wanted. We watched the fountains at Bellagio 2 or 3 times. We went to several of the casino's on the strip. We went over to Freemont Street (and zip lined down it! - major accomplishment for my heights averse self ). My favorite part of the trip was the Venetian! I could have lived in there for days and not gotten tired of it. The only thing we didn't do that I had on my list was visit the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. I wanted to watch them mold the chocolates. But that wasn't a big deal.
  5. I used it a couple years ago. It's pretty user friendly. You can go in and set shows up to record up to a couple weeks out (I can't remember exactly how far out the schedule shows). I did have trouble with fast forwarding and rewinding, but I felt like that was probably just me.
  6. We had a great time in Vegas, but I'm sure glad to be home! Now, if I could only keep my eyes open while at my desk "working", that would be great .
  7. We are staying at The Strat. The reviews are not very good, so I'm a little apprehensive. Had I been the one planning the trip, I would not have chosen it, just based on the reviews. But I guess it was chosen because it's cheapest. Thank you all for the information! I'm taking notes, and trying to be as prepared as possible .
  8. I haven't been. I've been reading everything I can find, I was just wondering if anyone has any specific advice. How much cash should I take? I understand the ATM fees are outrageous. Anything I should definitely avoid? Anything I MUST do or see? I am getting more and more anxious about Covid. I wasn't, when we booked the trip, because I thought things were moving in the right direction . I also hope I can handle the heat. It gets hot here, but not desert hot. They say it's better out there because it's a "dry heat" whereas we are very humid in Oklahoma. But I don't know, I think hot is probably hot any way you slice it.
  9. I'm going to Vegas next month. I've never been there. What do I most need to know?
  10. OMG y'all. With Prime Days coming up, and all these big retailers announcing Thanksgiving Day closings, I am getting SO ready for the season. I know a lot of the country is in a heatwave, and today is our hottest day so far this year, but I have been listening to Christmas music all day .
  11. I have looked into this so many times, and I'm always just a little bit intimidated . I'm in a baking group on Facebook and a lot of them make their own. I just haven't pulled the proverbial trigger yet.
  12. I'm getting really excited about this year.
  13. For me, it's really hit or miss. Sometimes it seems like there's nothing but a gajillion watches. But then a 30 oz bottle of Vanilla pops up for $13 and it's all worth it. LOL Seriously, it depends on what you need/want, I guess. If you're in the market for an Amazon device, they are always marked down during Prime Days. Last year, I got a really good start on my Christmas shopping, but some years I haven't found anything I wanted to buy.
  14. I took a 5 day weekend to watch my 5 grands while their parents went on vacation. Now I need a vacation!
  15. I'm so sorry Chief.
  16. I totally agree, and I am willing to also be the change I want to see. Thank you for being an example. I LOVE YOU! pass it on
  17. Sounds like a great idea to me! I think someone else would have to be the Easter Bunny though. Sorry. I love the tree!!
  18. Amen! Look at you, remembering to post! LOL
  19. CLAIMED. I received an email with a 30% coupon that is good today only. It says it's a one time use code. PM me if you need it.
  20. I've actually read (I think, ON GottaDeal) that this week is better for TV sales than Black Friday because of the Super Bowl! So, you may have broken your TV at the exact perfect time. Good luck!
  21. This could go either way, so I hope it's good news for us traditionalists. I absolutely hated the spread out sales, but I loved being able to sit around after Thanksgiving dinner (as small as that was this year). I would imagine the other big players will follow suit, and they will all be closed Thanksgiving again. I just hope the bulk of the sales is the weekend after and not the month before.
  22. I'm sorry to hear this. I hope everyone is okay!
  23. Back to work today after a wonderful week and a half off. New year, same ole grind . Why couldn't I have been born rich? Nah, I'm thankful to still be employed and able to do my job safely from home. in my pajamas. and no make-up. Happy New Year everybody!
  24. HanShotFirst and Jesusluvu, Thank you both so so much! It's like you know me . Honestly, I could not have done better if I'd picked out my gifts and ornament myself. God bless you both, you made my season that much brighter!
  25. Merry Christmas (Eve) to you all! Few of us actually know each other, but I like to think you are all my friends. I'm feeling sappy today, so I'll stop before I say more than this: I love you all! Stay Safe and be blessed.
