  1. Once it's out, it's just keeping track. Not much to delegate. Honestly, it's not a LOT of time (not like the volunteers that traditionally typed up the ads), I just wouldn't want to miss anything and someone miss out because I wasn't as focused as I should be. Thanks for the offer of help though! If I do need to push something off, I'll holler at you . Let me get the opening post updated and I'll have it ready and out by the end of this week.
  2. I will miss the good time we always have going out and being together. We have committed to making a different plan, and still being together (my sister says laptops and wine coolers), but with the sales spread out, will there really be a reason? I guess when more stores roll out their plans, we will be able to make ours.
  3. I'm thinking mid next week, we'll get started . **NOTE - if anyone else wants to head it up this year, I'm happy to hand it off. Don't get me wrong, I love doing it and I'll happily do it this year if no one else wants to. I'm just busier at work this year than normal so I thought I'd throw it out there.
  4. Welcome! You'll love it here.
  5. Received this email at work from Pitney Bowes. Maybe this is nothing new, and I just never noticed before?? Ahead of the holiday season, the USPS has announced a temporary rate increase for commercial domestic competitive parcels. The new rates, which affect services such as commercial Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express packages, will be in effect from October 18 through December 27, 2020. The new rates will be updated automatically in SendPro® Online and SendPro® Enterprise subscriptions, on all connected SendPro® and Connect+ sending devices and on meters using SmartLink. Get all the details on the rate change and tips on sending smarter at Rate Change Central. http://image.transactions.pitneybowes.com/lib/fe8b13727c66017873/m/1/34aa5449-71be-476c-be0b-9d54c37f7960.png http://image.transactions.pitneybowes.com/lib/fe8b13727c66017873/m/1/71129dfa-c7e8-4405-80fe-c20e9ae6e8a7.png http://image.transactions.pitneybowes.com/lib/fe8b13727c66017873/m/1/0a9a0b41-2ddd-4a74-b740-24e8cd0645f2.png http://image.transactions.pitneybowes.com/lib/fe8b13727c66017873/m/1/692e6283-bba4-4f97-9c4e-6e35a14130fa.png pitneybowes.com/us Contact us This email was sent from a notification-only address that cannot accept incoming email. 6. So excited! Let's caption some photos and guess some ad dates!
  7. I'm always so excited to log on to GD and see the special BF forums are up and running! HERE WE GO!
  8. I think she has to quarantine now, until 14 days after her daughter's symptoms are gone. Everyone talks about quarantine for 14 days, but it's actually much longer because she can't even start counting those days until that point.
  9. I'm so glad it's Friday. I work for a small company. My industry is extremely busy right now, so a lot of the bigger, nationwide, companies are hiring out the wazzoo. Of course, they are offering more pay and permanent work from home options, so I've had 2 people give notice this week and a third had to be offered the moon to stay. The thing is, we aren't going to stay this busy. It will slow down in a couple months and all these big companies are going to have big lay offs. I honestly care about my employees and I worry about them stepping into that. In the mean time, I told my boss she's stuck with me unless and until I win the lottery. LOL
  10. Back to work this morning after being off all last week. Even though I didn't go anywhere, and I work from home, I'm just not feeling it this morning!
  11. Dang! Thankfully you weren't hurt. I hope your day gets better!!
  12. I always get really in the mood for Black Friday and the holidays after Prime Day. They keep this up, I won't have too long to wait between the 2. I guess I will have to find other motivation.
  13. Happy LEON Day. I think when my regular morning show goes off, I'll listen to some Christmas music.
  14. How can this year be going so fast, when this week has gone so slow? TGIF. I am worn out.
  15. I would think, since they need to be making these plans now, they would have to plan as if social distancing will be required. I think the majority will have to be online. Which breaks my heart a little, but I guess we are all making sacrifices. That said, I personally think the deals will be better than they have been. The last several years have pretty much been the same deals year after year. With BF being the day (days?!) that carry the rest of the year for most of these retailers, I think they will realize they have a better chance with more customers/lower prices than less customers/higher prices.
  16. I'm still working from home too. I've decided I like it . I came in to the office for a little while today. It's funny, I usually feel guilty for getting on GD when I'm supposed to be working at home, but I don't seem to have any problem with it sitting in the office. I wonder what that says about me. LOL
  17. It's April, and Oklahoma can't decide if it wants to be winter or summer. No spring allowed (until the tornadoes start). Yesterday, it was 90°. Next week it's supposed to be in the 20s. Maybe the 20s will encourage people to stay home. I hope you and your families are all well. Stay safe!
  18. The majority of my office is working from home. I'm thankful we are in an industry that it's possible. We have a few left in the office, that just flat did not want to work from home. Worked out well, because we really need someone in office anyway to accept mail and FedEx, or what have you. So they are practicing social distancing and disinfecting everything daily. Our state superintendent today recommended all schools stay closed for the rest of the year. I don't know what that means for the seniors. Will they get to reschedule senior activities when this is over? I mean, if they don't they don't. Their health (and everyone else's) is obviously more important than prom or graduation. But my heart goes out to them.
  19. I really wanted to sleep in this morning and blame it on forgetting to change my clocks. Another way today's technology is ruining lives. Had a good weekend though. My dil is pregnant and her mother and I got to reveal the gender on Saturday. We're having another boy! (that'll be 4 boys, 1 girl, for those of you keeping score ).
  20. We've been joking around here that it's been spring all winter. It was sunny and 70° yesterday, with more of the same today. We are supposed to have winter Wednesday though. Up to 4" of snow and ice, with temps in the teens. Then nice again by the weekend. So, hopefully Wednesday kills lots and lots of bugs, or the summer is going to be miserable in more ways than one.
  21. Congratulations Grama!
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
  23. I live in a very small town in Oklahoma, and one of our hometown boys plays for the Chiefs. So, needless to say, our whole town is pumped. Go Chiefs! (full disclosure - I love NCAA football, but I've never been an NFL fan. It IS pretty cool though that someone that went to school with my kids is playing in the freaking super bowl!!!)
  24. I hope everyone's 2020 is off to a great start! After being off work the last week and a half, I was NOT happy when my alarm went off this morning. LOL. BUT, that means I'm starting the year off still employed, so I'm grateful and blessed .
