  1. Got an e-mail saying it was being shipped, then got a notice that there was a problem and they would ship ASAP. We will see! I sure hope it works out since I have bought accessories for it already .... which, by the way, have already been delivered!
  2. I like ours already. There are so many books that are free that we read for school anyway. I am going to box up the paper copies and clear some shelves out! It does not hold a lot of books though.
  3. I picked up two of them yesterday. The manager checked me out so I did not think they would price match AND give me the 30%. She did! After tax and subtracting the $10 Kohls cash for each, it cost me $20.50. I homeschool the seven kids so this will be really helpful. There are 25 pre-loaded classic books. About 19 of them are books that my children are required to study in their literature programs. You have access to >150 books on the Kobo site plus many more via other sites. I hope to be able to use it for the library e-books. I must say it is not nears as nice as the Kindle but for the money, you cannot beat it. Page turning is a little persnickety! My DD is reading Little Women right now as I type.
  4. Thank you so much for your input! I do know she has access to Overdrive ... so do we. I think I would be more apt to use overdrive also. I have to agree that librarians have\o much to offer. We do have library cards and do use them occasionally. At present, I have over 4,000 children's books catalogued here at home. Yes, catalogued! I must agree that the public library system is such an awesome service! Thank you for all that you do at the library! Michele
  5. I am at a loss on what to purchase for my mother! I was thinking she may enjoy an eReader. I know she will not pay for eBooks so I was wondering if there were eBooks that can be downloaded from the libraries. Okay, I admit I do not use the library often. With 7 kids, I just buy the book and I get my money's worth out of it. So, here are my questions: 1. Can you download eBooks from libraries? (She downloads audiobooks with Overdrive already from her library.) 2. If you can download eBooks from the libraries, are there any newer books or is it just the classics? 3. What type of reader works best for this use? It looks like the Kindle is linked to only Amazon books. ... not sure about the nook .... any other suggestions? I know she does not need 3G .. only wiFi. Thanks for the help. I tried searching but cannot seem to find the info I need! I am down to the wire. We have an extra week as we will not be going home until around New Years Day. Thanks!
  6. What is recyclebank.com coupon??? I am so lost most of the time. Michele 8888 I figured it out. Nevermind. I am sitting on the fence about whether to go and pick one up!
  7. I also am looking for a speaker dock/charger for an ITouch. Any suggestions.... do not want to high-jack but that does sound like a good accessory! :)
  8. I would love one of iPod coupons if anyone is not using theirs. It would be such a blessing! Thanks! Michele
  9. Last year, I picked up one for $29.99 at BB. I wonder if they will go that low again!
  10. You can stream movies with the XBox using their Instant Watch choice. I know you can watch DVDs and BlueRays with the PS3.
  11. I did not think you could stream Netflix on the PS3. Am I wrong? Thanks.
  12. Is this a really good deal? It worked for me. Just not sure!
  13. Thanks! I picked up three pairs .... Size 4, 5, and 6. I also used the free shipping code:3011901
  14. Just ordered two dual chargers. It is cheaper to get another charging station with the two batteries than to get a free battery and pay shipping. Each battery ends up costing 5.00 or so instead of 5.99
  15. DS has just finished saving up enough money to purchase an Ipod Touch so we are also looking for the best deal. So far it looks like Amazon.com with free shipping and no tax is the best!
