My parents told me that Santa has all the wrapping paper in the world and he wraps his presents the same as your parents so that they all match under the tree! Now that I have kids, Santa wraps in Santa paper and Mommy and Daddy don't.

Aww thanks! Words to live by! :-)

Christmas Eve is my favorite day! When I was a kid, we used to go to my grandmother's house and she would make this soup (kind of like Italian Wedding Soup, but a little different). She didn't use a recipe of course so I learned how to make it from her and I've made it every year since I've had my own place. My aunt and uncle come over and celebrate with us. I tried making a huge meal like she did, but everyone just wants the soup. I started making grilled cheese sandwiches instead and it's so much easier!

I dunno. I'm a sucker for Kohl's cash. There have been a few things where I could buy them now with the 30% off coupon and they'd be about the same price as BF. It's the $15 in Kohl's cash that always holds me back. I usually go back and buy more Christmas decorations or pieces for our village. One year we used it to buy boots for charity. It's free money! :-)

I've always taken it off. When I was a new employee at my last job, I didn't have any vacation time yet, but they still let me take it. My current company gives it to us as one of our regular holidays, so I'll never have to worry about it! I was so happy when my husband stopped working retail and could come with me!

This talk of anniversaries made me go back and look for mine. I'll be 11 years next Wednesday!

I overheard two ladies asking about Hatchimals at Target today. The employee basically told them they had no chance. She said that they never know what's coming on the truck but they only get 4-6 at a time and people are lined up at the door when they open to get them. How crazy is that?!?

RIP COMPUSA!

I was hoping that Target would come out tomorrow to get a little press before the election. They've already come through huge for me this Christmas season and I can't wait to see what they have planned for Black Friday!

I haven't seen the ads for most of my favorite BF stores but I'm happy with what I've seen. The best thing about these ad leaks is that it helps you decide if you should buy now, buy on BF or hold out until the December. Sent from my SM-G930V using GottaDeal mobile app

That was the first thing I looked for too! Groupon has 100 cards for $25 right now, so I just went ahead and bought that. That gives me a little more time since I don't think my pictures will be ready Thanksgiving weekend anyway.

Just used this online. I stacked this 20% off coupon with the 10% coupon for downloading the wish list app, plus my RED Card. I ended up doing a majority of my toy Christmas shopping and saved $80+! (I shop for 16 kids ages 10 and under!)

I'm a little worried that the St Nicholas Square village pieces aren't in the ad. Usually they are 60% off on BF.

When my son told me that Santa was going to bring him 10 presents, I told him that was impossible because Santa couldn't fit 10 presents for every kid in his sleigh. But I like that Santa doesn't make electronics. That's a good one!

We'll probably get it on Dec 10 after my husband's company Christmas party. We can't put it up too early because we'll kill the poor thing.

I mean, the candy canes are free, right?

I'd really like to see Target. I think I'm going to order next week with the 20% off coupon in the toy catalog and if that stacks with the 10% off a wish list and my Red Card, I think that will be the easiest thing for me. But I would love to see what their BF Sales are going to be before I pull the trigger!

Last year Target had the Britax Marathon for $199 and Babies R Us had the Evenflo Symphony for $159.99. If you have Buy Buy Baby near you, they have 20% off coupons all the time, so you could probably get a great deal without waiting for BF. You can also use their coupons at Babies R Us.

My go-to gift is jewelry or food. The first year my son was in school, it was a huge bag of Lindt chocolates and homemade scarves. The next year, Alex and Ani bracelets. Last year I had a new baby in the house so they got Applebee's giftcards and some candy. My thought is if you can't eat it or wear it, what good is it?! :-)

Haha! If only he was a little bit taller! Don't give him any ideas!

My son would be horrified to learn that I, um I mean Santa, tried to price shop anything related to Paw Patrol. Mama brought home Paw Patrol snow boots yesterday that I got from Burlington Coat Factory and he woke up this morning and asked if it was snowing so he could wear his new boots. #motheroftheyear

In that case, I better get back there to buy that Paw Patrol rug my 3yo won't stop talking about! Thank you!

I've noticed that the TJ Maxx near me has some good deals on toys that my kids would actually want. I've never really been a TJ Maxx shopper. Does anyone know if they do Black Friday deals or should I do my shopping now? I noticed that there weren't any ad scans for them last year.

What do you think will be the "hot" items this year?
Tara3117 replied to shopping4my3son's topic in 2016
I'm going to be looking for a deal on Google Home. I don't know if I'll find any, but I think that's the thing that my husband wants most this year. -
Does anyone in New England remember Lechmere? You had to write down the item number and then the thing you wanted would come down a conveyor belt when the cashier rang it up!
