I totally agree. Whenever my 18 month old wants to watch tv, he looks at us and says, "XBox On." It doesn't work, but gosh, it's adorable. (And maybe a little horrifying, but mostly adorable!) :-) Plus, if you think you'll want any type of fitness or dancing game, you need the Kinect. No way around it.

Sam's Club has the best price. The next best is Best Buy.
-
Me too. I'm going to wait to see if a new 20% off coupon comes out today or tomorrow.
-
I just ordered the Nighthawk from Staples for $169.99 as well. My husband is a systems administrator by trade and that is the one he has been eyeing for months.

Staples is offering 20% off anything you can stuff in their reusable shopping bag now through Wednesday. There are a ton of exclusions. I've gotten a lot of stocking stuffers here in the past. http://weeklyad.staples.com/StaplesSD/WeeklyAd?storeid=2279030#!/store/2279030/listing/-2036628456

Got the router that I wanted online today for the BF price. I'm also looking for a shredder and the Moto 360 but the BF deals weren't available online today.

Got the Let's Rock Elmo that I wanted. It was $14.99 and I used a $10 rewards certificate, so final price was $4.99. That had a ton of them too. It was so nice to get the deal and not have to fight the crowds!

Honestly, I think you get what you pay for. Garmin, Jawbone and FitBit are the big brands. You obviously pay more but you get a better quality project. Out of the three you named, I think the Everlast one is the best because she'll probably want the app on her smartphone and it has a usable watch face. The Macy's doesn't have a face and it didn't look like the JCPenney one has an app.

Hmm, I wonder how we will know what items are early access deals. Will it be signed that way? I'd love to get DS the Let's Rock Elmo for $14.99, but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up.

Does L.L. Bean usually post an ad? I have my fingers crossed for some things there to go on sale!

Part Gift Card Part CC - Do You Still Get to Use Codes
Tara3117 replied to shoptillidrop2's topic in 2014
You just have to put something on your Kohl's charge (if it's a cardholders' coupon). It's not like Target that only gives you % off on the portion you put on your Target card. -
I'm a little disappointed that there aren't more Android watches in the ads this year. I was specifically hoping for a deal on the Moto 360 Android watch, but so far only Staples has it in their ad and even that is just a $25 gift card with purchase. There's no price break. I thought that would be a bigger gift this year.

I agree exactly! I did the same thing. Between the F&F sale, plus 5% off with my Sears card, plus a $20 off $200 coupon code, I got my snowblower $7 cheaper than the Sears Hometown was selling it for on Thanksgiving AND I don't have to leave the house on Thanksgiving!
-
I caught that too. They're basically prepping their shareholders for lackluster sales because closing for 5 hours mid-day is Radio Shack's biggest problem.

Woohoo! Men's footed pajamas on page 18!

I think it was last year that I ordered my niece a Barbie toy with a horse that was one of the $19.99 deals. I think I ordered it Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. I've never had any issues ordering from Kohls.com. I guess maybe you'd do well to order as soon as the sale goes live, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.
-
Has Sears said anything about doorbusters being available online? I didn't see any mention of it in the ads.
-
Is the F&F sale supposed to be BF prices after doorbusters? They have the snow blower I want for $499 as a doorbuster and it's on the website for $539. That looks like the after 1pm price with 10% off. I was going to go to the store tonight but I won't if I have to pay more than Black Friday. That's stupid.

My in-laws to the whole huge Thanksgiving feast on Thursday. I don't mind because they have a much bigger extended family and it's really more of an event. Thanksgiving at my parents is literally eating turkey dinner with the same people we have dinner with at least once a week, so it's not as big of a deal. My mother usually does a Sunday brunch that week and that works out great for us. My BIL doesn't usually go to Thanksgiving, so we've taken to doing what we call Chinese Thanksgiving on that Saturday where we eat Chinese food with DH's immediate family. It's nice because we can visit with the extended family we don't see as much on the actual holiday but not miss catching up with the smaller family. I do kinda feel bad for my parents because they're just alone on Thursday. We always invite them to my in-laws' house and I know my brother invites them to my SIL's family dinner but they always refuse.

Found another leaked list. Looks like it will just be the Our Generation Dolls, not the accessories. ($22 down to $11 down to $8.25 with the coupon.) Also, I guess Sunday's will be Sunday November 9th: Hot Wheels Turbo Takeover $34.99- projected price. Use 50% off Cartwheel $17.49.

When they were looking at the other stores, they said they could only guarantee that they had 4 at that time yesterday. So they would still show that they had them in stock if someone purchased them at any point in the last 24 hours. Sure I guess it could be a coincidence that everyone was shopping for it on their lunch break, but I think the problem really lies with Target not sending enough stock to their store.
-
Now I'm wicked annoyed. I went to the Target by my work to get the Mega Bloks Wagon. They were out. Well, their stock system said they have 3 on the shelves, but they didn't. (Side note: It's 2014. We can't get real-time stock updates? We can put a man on the moon for goodness sake.) They looked through some other stores and told me to have Guest Services call one of the stores closer to my home because they're showing stock. I get to Guest Services and they said that store isn't even on the list of stores with stock. They gave me 3 stores that aren't that convenient to me who had the wagon 24 hours ago. Two of them had 4 and one had 6. So let me get this straight... Target is offering 50% off in-store on one day only and they only sent 4-6 items to the store? What? I don't even want to get Cartwheel for the rest of the season. If I can't get the deals, it's not worth it.

You have to get there WHEN THE DOORS OPEN to get that deal. We bought a new washer/dryer 3 years ago and it was a disaster. We tried to get it at the F&F event but they were sold out. We ended up ordering it at Lowes because they had as good a deal but we didn't end up getting it until February. It was rough. If you walk in at 6 and make your purchase first thing, I think you'll be ok. Also, I think I heard that the Kenmore Elite line is made by Samsung so I wouldn't worry about the warranty. Even if Sears closed down completely, there will still be a way to service Kenmore products. None of them are actually made by Kenmore.
