Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2014
Tara3117 replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I was at Target yesterday and they were having 50% off character t-shirts for Toddler boys. I got my son a Batman t-shirt for next summer for $4! I was pretty psyched! -
I couldn't access the 2013 text list. It just brought me to the regular Black Friday page.

I just realized that my Kohl's cash expired on Wednesday. I was looking online and it seems that they used to take expired Kohl's Cash but they stopped as of August 1. I was just wondering if anyone had this experience? I may call Kohl's tomorrow and see what they say. I'm bummed because it was one of those deals where I bought an extra shirt so I could get the Kohl's Cash and then I didn't even spend it! They only give you one weekend to redeem it. Let's face it, 99% of my shopping is done on the weekend. (PS. I know I shouldn't complain about free money. #FirstWorldProblems)

It's just my opinion, but I think you should spend the extra $100 to get the Kinect. You really don't get the full effect of many of the games without it. I guess you could figure out what type of games he wants to play and see if they require it. I'd say that most games do. (Also, without the Kinect, you can do the whole "XBox On" thing that you see in the commercials!) I think the best you could do on Black Friday is a gift card offer or some free games bundled in, but I don't think you'll see it come down from the $399/$499 price. When we priced out the XBox One, we settled on Target because of the 5% off with the Red Card and we use the Target pharmacy, so we used our extra 5% rewards. If you pay close attention, you might be able to find a deal on the limited bundles once they've been to market for awhile. They took $50 off the Titanfall bundle this summer. I'm not sure what bundle is out right now that you should watch for.

I think it's Love30 this month.

This was so much fun! I loved seeing everything that you all got (and of course receiving my own gift)! Thanks PogiPorkChop for your hard work and the Christmas card!

That is a beautiful statement. I think I'm going to have to borrow that one. Your story melted my heart this morning. I hope your Dad is feeling better!

I haven't been able to log into the site either. FWIW, it is at the top of Target's website. They aren't hiding it. Also, I've had fraudulent charges on various credit cards in the past and I wouldn't say that fixing the charges was ever a HUGE HASSLE. They've just required a phone call, a notarized letter and waiting a few days for a new card to be issued. Yeah, this stinks, but let's not storm Target with torches and pitchforks.

We just had a yankee swap here at work (is that the same thing, I don't even know) and my gift came in one of these prank boxes. It was so funny! I think they got it at Wal-Mart. It doesn't help you with a gift, but it was a pretty funny joke. (Mine had nips inside.)

Are there any Halloween theme parks that you could get tickets to for October? Then you could move the movie rental to a different month. It might be tricky, but I'd think you'd be able to order them this far in advance. I know you can get King Richard's Faire tickets for Christmas near me and that's only open Labor Day - Columbus Day.

Aww, PackerGurl, your post made me want to cry! The Christmas spirit always finds a way of creeping in!

One of my friends got the same thing without complaining to Kohl's at all.

Got my package from my SS today! It was a gift card for Little Caesar's. Looks like tomorrow night's dinner is on SS - woot woot!

I'm right there with the late mailers! I thought that one of our local post offices was open late, but apparently not any more. So I finally drove all the way to the closest PO with a 24-hour kiosk but they didn't have any "it fits it ships" boxes. My husband is going to try to take it on his lunch break. I'm sorry SS! It will get there before Christmas!

I totally agree that it's going to take huge sales to motivate shoppers this year. We're spending at least the same amount on Christmas this year as last year (if not more) but I don't buy things unless they are on sale. I know there's no way to track this, but I'd be interested to see the full price of what's been purchased every year. Was spending down because people bought less or because prices were lower?

I find Kohl's notifications aren't always up to date. I got a notification that my order was ready to ship after I'd received it.

Just got the email for Gymboree. 50% off the whole store (including clearance) until noon on Friday. Then clearance drops to 30% off for the rest of Friday and Saturday. Excluding Jingle Deals, whatever those are.

Away in a Manger (Probably doesn't help since Rs and Es are pretty tapped out...)

The one time we got a bag of crap, there was soaps, a Covey planner and leak frogs. That was a few years ago though.

Does anyone know if Barnes & Noble does anything for BF? I want to get my nieces some books this year.

My son's daycare director is leaving to spend more time with her family. I really like her so I wanted to get her a gift. I thought a "Family Movie Night" gift would be cute. She has 2 grown daughters, a son in high school and a son in I think middle school if not elementary school. I bought a few boxes of movie candy, Twizzlers, and some microwave popcorn. I was going to buy some Red Box codes but apparently they don't do that anymore. You can buy an eCard but then you can only use it to reserve DVDs online, not Blu-Rays or games and not at the kiosk. Or you can order a $25 gift card, but that's more than I wanted to spend. Now I don't know what to do! I don't know if she has Netflix or Amazon or anything like that. Help! :-)

Still waiting for Bob's. Last year they gave members the BF sale on Wednesday, which was awesome! I never shop there during the year but I can always find stuff on BF.
