I don't remember Target having doorbusters last year, but I usually make Target my last or next to last stop and I haven't had a problem getting the items on my list. Kmart, when I shopped there (stopped because of customer service issues) there were always items that I wanted that were gone in minutes.

I think it is a different one. Called snuggle bean.

Sleigh Ride is a favorite of mine. I can listen to Christmas songs all year long! A new favorite is Frosty's Rag by Anita Baker.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
Bunniq replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I am heading to Target this weekend. I will report any good finds. I wanted to add that keep trying and looking. I've found some items by luck as they were hidden in odd places. So I have started looking very close as I walk the store. -
I first went to WalMart around 4:30am. (I woke up late) I saw the two double lines lol and left to go to Macys. On my way home I passed by WalMart and decided to go in just to see if any were left. Went in nothing then saw one on top of some boxes and two ladies eyeing it ready to jump. In the corner of my eye I see a young lady pulling over a bunch of them just as they made an announcement they had more. I picked up one and left to check out. Someone said they had found them in the back so I am sure if they had been out when the store opened they would have been gone. At the check out I saw one that someone had left and it had the birthdate of my best friends daughter so I got it for her.

Last year was red and silver balls on a white tree in our living room. No tree this year unless there are a few good deals to be found. We want a nice tree that will last us a while. We are going to hope for good luck for after Christmas sales if not before Christmas. We also have ten ornaments for each Christmas we have been together that we hang on a small mini tree in our bedroom.

My mother lives in Atlanta, and we went to IKEA. I kept asking her if she wanted to sit down and rest, because she had surgery a week before, and she kept saying noooo I have to show you this, and lets go upstairs. That day was a weekday and we went in found a parking space and mostly looked around and picked up a few things for my sister's new place. I made the mistake of going back the weekend of my sister's wedding and it took forever to find a parking space, but inside the store didn't seem so bad. I couldn't really compare prices, because the items I got were so different from items I have seen in other places, plus only my second time. I am heading back to Atlanta for my nephews birthday and IKEA will be on my list. It will be on a Saturday so hopefully not too bad otherwise my DH will say lets head back home.

The Cabbage Patch Doll and maybe the Little People Fun Pack thingie. And of course being the thrill seeker I am I will be trying to get a Cabbage Patch Doll. Wish me luck! Last year I was really lucky and went to WalMart around 7am and there were still several left. This year since there are other items I want I think I will go to the SuperCenter in the state next door and wait in the warm store. Maybe place PM items in my cart while I wait. There is a five year old in the family that we are sponsoring and all she wants is a pink dress for tea parties, and a doll baby.

I don't have any children to have a son in law lol, but I have a brother in law and sister in law. I usually try to get something I know they will enjoy. Sometimes I spend the same amount as I do my sister and brother and sometimes I end up spending less. I would say whatever you feel comfortable with spending. Since you don't know him well, maybe try and find out any hobbies he has and make a basket based on his hobby. One of the best gifts I received last year was one of those mystery puzzles from my brother in law. It was one of the best, because he took the time to get me something that he knew I enjoyed.

Since she likes coffee, maybe a basket. You can get single packs at the grocery store and place them in a nice basket with a coffee mug or two, and maybe a smaller basket with quilting supplies.

Sears as well for me. However that may change if the WalMart ad gets leaked in time for me to plan.

My BF shopping is usually complete in three if not two hours. I head to a fast food place to pick up breakfast for myself and anyone left at home. For the rest of the day I am usually resting, wrapping, decorating, and visiting so I tend to skip lunch. (Unless family drags me back out to shop more once they have had a full nights sleep lol. Then we usually go out to a nice lunch.) Dinner will be leftovers.

Yes he knows how much is spent on family and friends, but he does not know how much I spend on him. (Which this year will seem like a lot, but won't because of the deals I've been able to take part.)

My mother was born on Christmas Eve, my brother was born on Dec 17th and I was born on Dec 28th. Growing up my brother and I shared a birthday party which was always the weekend prior to his birthday. We of course still received gifts wrapped in Christmas paper from our friends and family, but my mother tried her best to keep Christmas themes out of the parties. We also each had a special day with my mother doing what we liked best. My brother usually picked roller skating, and I loved going to musical events and plays. We would wear a birthday hat or button. My brother's son was born on Dec 18th all he wanted to do was drive his little cars around at his birthday party. I like the idea of a 1/2 birthday party in June. We may visit that when he is older.

For several years I have been doing BF alone. However, a few years back when I shopped at Kmart, (I stopped due to customer service issues) I had DH go with me on Thanksgiving Day to pick up a TV they had on sale. He complained the whole while we waited in line, until he found some other guy to talk sports with, and then he was okay. Once in the store we got the TV and he was ready to go home. Off we went home, and back out I went. So yes shopping with my spouse throws me waaaay off. Every now and then he will ask if I need him to go with me. I say nooo I have it covered. LOL

I really don't want to say this, but since we found out about the family we are going to sponsor this year, (Gender, sizes, ages, etc.) I feel I may not have to go out on BF. Maybe just to Sears to pick up the PJ's and the DVD's. Part of me feels I will be done by next weekend. The family we were given mostly listed clothing on their wish list. I to have taken advantage of so many great deals during this year. I guess I could get a jump on next year, but DH is already complaining about storage space.
-
Now that I think about it it is one of my most planned days of the year as well LOL! That is why I like to see the ads early. I have time to go over them all and get things I really think people will like. Of course since I found GottaDeal I have been buying all year, and I am just about done for this year. However, I do need to shop for the family we sponser, and pick up some clothing items for my nephews. (So far Sears is looking good for those items.) Oh and I forgot maybe two more things for DH and one for myself. (From Santa of course.)
-
I sure do! I was around 8 when I found out Santa could no longer "visit" all the little children in the world so he sent three special gifts by mail to mommys and daddys to place under the tree for each of their children. (He sent us four so that we could take one to the homeless shelter for the kids that came to the shelter during the year.) I was around 10 when I found out Santa had retired long ago, but he left a lasting spirit that filled everyone with joy so they continue to give. Each year after that my mother would pick a Santa or Father Christmas legend to tell to us before my dad read The Night Before Christmas.

I can not believe I have never seen that one. I like it!

I was wondering from past years, how much of the sales are available online?
Bunniq replied to spcpatt148's topic in 2006
I don't have an answer to add, but I wanted to say thank you to you and your family. -
Something close has happened to me and I mentioned it to the cashier she gave me a look of 'I don't make mistakes' and asked would it be on my store charge. So I just paid and left. I don't think I would say anything if it happened to me again.

How Many Hours Do You Spend Shopping On Black Friday??
Bunniq replied to sleepyshopper's topic in 2006
Not including waiting for the first store to open. I spend about 3 hours out.
