  1. I usually stick to my budget, but I tend to go overboard with the number of gifts I give now because of the deals I find during the year. Next year I am going to stick with a set number of gifts for each person on my list and see if I spend less than this year with any deals I find.
  2. I just stare back. Usually end up making conversation with those close to me. However I love to people watch and wonder what joy the season will bring to them! Oh yes I stare back with a smile! :)
  3. Christmas morning it is just DH and myself. We usually do everything at the same time lol. We cook breakfast together, and open gifts while cooking. Then after breakfast we get ready to travel to the homes of family and friends to drop off gifts, and end up at my Aunt's home to spend the rest of the day with extended family.
  4. DH and I don't have kids just yet, (We keep trying!) we have three small nephews on my side of the family, and two nephews and a niece on his side of the family. We try and spend the same amount on each child and we usually end up buying around 10 gifts for each. We do toys, pjs, and winter clothing for each.
  5. Nice find GingerSunshine! I haven't been to my local Target in weeks, and I really want to go, but I have placed myself on a break from shopping. (I have done way to much shopping online.) The UPS driver stopped by today out of habit, and then realized he didn't have anything for me today.
  6. Name? Just call me Bunnie! Location? Georgia People going with you? No one How long have you been shopping on BF? Tooo many years to say. (I might tell my age!) What is the one AD that you really want to see? Cross between Target and WalMart What was that one item you sooo wanted to get, but couldn't get it on BF? I got the item I really wanted last year, but missed out on the Blue Tooth Headset Radio Shack had on sale. Cheapest thing you ever bought on BF? Shredder that I got free after rebate. Did you ever get anything for free on BF? Shredder (after rebate)
  7. Most of the time the tree comes down by December 31st. We try and have a little New Years Eve get together and we remove the tree for room. The other decorations stay up long after December 31st. Usually by the second week of January, but the snowglobes tend to stay up most of the winter and some all year lol! This year no tree. We gave ours away last year hoping to buy a better one last year during the after Christmas sales. We were to late. Hopefully we will get lucky this year. DH still hopes to find a nice one before Christmas.
  8. Thank you Conj, I would think it would take a while with such a large chain.
  9. I dont know, I would think it would take a while to plan, print, order, and make sure most if not all of the stores have the items advertised. Maybe someone who is on that side of retail can give a few hints on what it takes to plan sales and print the ads.
  10. I just saw my first Christmas Commercial for 2006. It was a Zales commercial, but it reminded me of my all time favorite commercial. I adore the commercial with the little girl and her family. They wake up to find all sorts of goodies left by Santa. The dad says, "Those most have been some cookies!", and the little girls says, "I didn't leave him cookies, I left him Cheese!" She is so cute, and I love that commercial! What is your favorite commercial?
  11. From October 1 on I am in full holiday mood. I love seeing the decorations, and while we don't start decorating in full until Thanksgiving weekend, we have a few things here and there out on display. As a child I can remember our decorations going up the week of Christmas and coming down the day after Christmas. As I got older it seems we would start earlier and earlier. The longer they were up the more joy for me! So no I don't think it is to early to start decorating around the end of October. My DH, that is another story. I dread the day we live in a house he will be just like Clark Griswold, but will want to start as soon as August hits.
  12. Nice! I didn't know that, but my sister and sister in law may have since they both told me Sears was the place they shopped for clothing for their boys.
  13. No not disappointed at all. I have completed most of my shopping for the holidays, but still need a few clothing items for three tough little boys (My nephews) to play and sleep in. And the DVD's look pretty interesting.
  14. Sears has moved up on my stores to shop on BF. I wonder about the movies. I saw a few movie titles I would like to get, but I've never bought DVD's from Sears. Are they known to carry a good supply DVD's? Thank you GottaDeal!
  15. I've never ordered from them online, but maybe they had a system glitch and the price adjustment amount they have listed is the shipping and handling they charged when you placed the order. (Would have been clear if they had stated the amount of the shipping and handling instead of FREE.) :) Maybe they really didn't ship, and the items went out of stock? I hope I was able to help. I never shop online with them as I have one less than five minutes away from me.
  16. Thank you! I needed a new pair and I was able to get three pairs for less than the price of one pair!

    keeping warm...

I am in GA as well. Last year I had on a jogging outfit, tennis shoes with thick socks, and a jacket. I saw some people with hats, gloves, etc, and from the looks they had been waiting for a while. I didn't leave home until after 4AM so I think I missed most of the early morning chill.
  18. Nice deals/finds Gator Pam! I never thought about asking for an additional % for floor models. Although after Christmas 2004 I did witness a lady getting a beautiful Christmas tree for the 75% at the time plus 50% off since she was taking the tree that was on display. I will have to remember to ask next time.
  19. I am almost done! I just have DH and the family we are going to sponser for Christmas. (We won't know anything about the family until Mid-November.) I can't believe I am at this point. I guess mostly due to all the deals year round. Oh and myself. I always get a gift to me from Santa. (Santa is busy with all the little ones after all!)
  20. I think the WalMart SuperCenters are open Thanksgiving day and night. Last year our WalMarts were closed however the SuperCenter in the city over was open. It may be different in your area.

    Charity and BF

We try and sponser a different family for Thanksgiving and Christmas and we do most of our shopping for the Christmas family on BF.
  22. No not disappointed. I don't shop at Kmart due to customer service issues. Holding out to see what Best Buy, WalMart, and Target have this year.

    50% off toys?

I received a $10 card in the mail due to the new Kohls in our area opening at the first of the month. I am glad I held out a bit longer. I used it today to get the very last toy I wanted for my youngest nephew. I picked up the Step Start Walk 'n Ride. It was marked higher in Kohls than Walmart, but with the 50% off and the $10 card from Kohls I got it for $5.00 plus tax! (My Kohls had Playskool marked at 50% off as well.)
