I agree w/ the shopping cart. Once you go through and add from whatever stores you can go back into it and add notes, comments, etc. I use that area to tally up my amt I'm spending (roughly), when I need to be where, etc. Its a huge help to do as much of that as possible BEFORE Thanksgiving so you dont miss stuff when you are stressed on your planning

TV from best buy BUUUUUUUUUT its the only thing I really want from there so unless I can ad match it at another store (walmart) its not gonna happen. Of course, christmas PJS, bike, some odds and ends toys, ipad w/ 75.00 gc back (maybe.. if I cant get a really really good deal on kindle fire) all at wal mart Walgreens- pert shampoo, the pet supplies cause dd is getting a puppy for christmas (this is her 2nd year asking Santa for same thing , makeup kit for dd, dream lites (if thats what the deal is on the B1G1 from there)

Well, Walmart did well this year. I see quite a few things I want to get there.

They did pillow pets last year so I am assuming its dream lites but I'm not sure.

Did anyone see opening time for BF? I looked starting on page 5 but didnt see it.

We usually do a mid afternoon meal (1-2pm ish) but in 2010/2011 I worked and was a manager so I had to work 9-4 so we ate like 5ish. This year we will be back to eating around 1-2pm.

I think a cross between type 3 and 4. Bullies cause they want a ton of the good items and will do whatever it takes to get the hot item and vultures cause they spend a ton of time looking around for the leftover stuff. They can also be the newbies.. you know those can actually be even worse- the ebay newbies. The ones that have heard how much their friend/neighbor/family/coworkers dog has made off deals and they go in looking to make a quick buck but have no idea what they are doing. lol

I am so happy to be getting another one and yes, I am more than fine w/ waiting for it. LOL Put me at the end of the list if you need to, I wont melt if I dont have it before BF. Wal mart is not a great place to work for. They are nosy and they do punish via hours. They intentionally keep people just under full time so they arent full time, and if you make the right person mad you will lose your hours. And they are reading this right now so if you work there I wouldnt post. I worked there years ago. Posted here and they pulled me into the office and, as non threatening as possible, threatened me. Tried to bring my child and husband into the conversation, to scare me into thinking they knew I had a kid because I posted here and where I lived, and how would I feel if something happened to them. (and yes, I am 100% serious. He even told me I could "open door" him for what he said to me.. cause we all know that would have done anything :/) This all from the store manager that was an A$$. That said, I've never been fond of unions either. I call them lazy man protectors. My dad was in a union and hubby is in one now, because it came with the job. Before this job he spent 11 years working in a non union job so at least he doesnt abuse it. But too many people do. In the end wal mart isnt going anywhere. And they know it. So they will continue to do what they do and I'll get a check every so often in the mail from the latest law suit that I didnt ask to be a part of but somehow got included in.

I totally agree w/ location. In my small town I could take both my kids (and Luke is only 1). Now if I ran to the bigger towns next to me I'd probably want to keep them home. My biggest thing though is temps and times. With my oldest, she could totally handle going, but I buy for her so thats not happening. LOL With my little one, he's too young to be drug out at midnight/3am etc in below freezing temps. Plus this is my time. Its fun and I dont want to have to worry about the kiddos while I'm shopping for them.

I'll be shopping in Marion, Carbondale and Herrin. I could go to Paducah but its a 45ish min. drive for me so its closer to go to C'dale... tho Paducah has way more stuff! lol Jenn, Praying for your husband

Now that is hard core!! Also a long timer But you are very helpful because I've remembered you from previous years. I also enjoy it a ton!! This site has been so great at helping out on getting deals (all year Brad, I speak for us all when I say, we love that you've been at it this long. Without you we wouldnt have this awesome website!! I was going back through my old posts while DS was sleeping and my first post here was back in 05. There have been years I was way more chatty and years I've had to sit out but man I've been around here for awhile now Anyways I didnt see one of these yet this year so I'll get the ball rolling. I'm Julie, married to my hubby for 16 years now (together for 20:eek:), got a daughter who is 8 and a son who is 15 months. Praying I can pawn the kiddos off on someone this year so I can be out early to shop since I missed out last year and my dh will be at work at 3am on BF LOL I've been around these boards off and on for 7 years now.....long enough to know Brad is probably holding out on that wal mart ad already probably hahahaha jk So who are you? I did this a few years ago and won by doing the sign (got a wal mart employee to hold it for me :) My daughter was 4 at the time (I think it was 2 years ago) and we had a BLAST hurrying to get it done and win that shirt. So dont forget your kiddos, let them help ya out! I still wear my shirt all the time (spring, summer, fall, winter). I'd love another one but I'm trying to not enter too many contests since I have already won (even though this years shirt is different and awesome!). We went shopping yesterday. TRU had one finfin left (the shark) so we grabbed that and ran to Target. Thankfully they had 1 turtle (what our dd wanted YAY!) and a few sharks. Thats it. Just a few of the accessories also. We about did a dance in Target cause those suckers are going for up to 50 on ebay. (its insane!) Mark that off the list! WOO HOO!

This was shown on qvc's Christmas in July sale. I thought it was AWESOME until I got to watch it in action. Its a fan that shoots the ball around. Kinda lame really. Younger kids would probably get a kick out of it but the older ones will probably know its the fan moving the ball, not their minds.

Wal Mart does a tire sale I believe. Like buy 3 get one free (maybe thats a normal sale though? LOL) you can look at last years wal mart and sears ad though to see what they did then. :)
