  1. I allow for up to 600. This year I'm going to go waaaaaaaaaaaaay over that, IF I am able to score the big items we all want. (laptop, LCD HDTV, Camcorder, Fur Real Pony) So probably around 1200 with all the other items I want/find.
  2. I'm *hoping* around 350! Thats what I am budgeting for at least. The good thing, I allowed 100 for a sewing maching and I dont need anything overly fancy so hopefully I'll get it cheaper (or not at all if there is no good deals) which will allow a little more for the TV. Its a MUST this year for DH's game/computer room.
  3. I had to work on Thanksgiving last year, because of that I also overslept! I woke up just before 5am, started yelling, called my mom, burshed my teeth/pulled my hair up and ran. We got to Wal Mart in town just as they were opening. I was soooooo disoriented!! I was still able to get most of what I was after though!
  4. So anyone want to venture a guess on how much an LCD HDTV around 32in. will be and which store will have them the cheapest? lol
  5. Its getting closer!!!! Even though it will be awhile before the next ad leaks, having Ace's leaked makes me all jittery inside. LOL
  6. I am excited!!! I cannot wait to see all the good deals, get hardly any sleep, shop most of the day, then pass out from all the commotion and exhaustion from the day!
  7. OMG! I was JUST about to post about this!!!! I had a dream early this morning (I am sick, woke up at 5:30 coughing so it was after that) about BF shopping!!!! Somehow there were all the stores I needed to go to in my town! Walgreens IS coming here but not til next year, but in my dream there was a Walgreens, Kmart (and I dont even shop there on BF cause its way out of the way lol), BB, etc. They were all in a huge buliding together. LOL I dont know if there were any lines though, I was just happy that they were all near each other. LMAO Julie
  8. We play Bingo. The kids are younger though and they love it!! Mad Gab (I think thats the name) would be a blast also! My cousin has it and refuses to play with me cause I am good at it. LOL Julie
  9. I always hit Ace on BF. Usually its a stop I hit in between towns (like my 4th or so stop), I usually go for the tools for my hubby and as usual I'll be there again this year!! I think the ad is nice, just like most years. Julie
  10. My luxurious black friday would not be complete unless I have a little hinky monkeyshines to go along with it. Julie
  11. Butterscotch is on our list of must haves this year. I didnt even know a new one was out. Is there a difference? (other than the color of it?)
  12. For us its the same thing every year. First I tune the TV to TBS at 6pm, then we head off to my Aunts house for a big Christmas Eve dinner. Then we go home and let Madison open one present (her christmas pjs), then we set out cookies/milk and send her to bed. After that Santa comes and pulls out all the wrapped presents from under the tree and leaves his big present (and stocking) in front of the pile. The big present has been put together and works so its ready to go, which of course he does at our house after Madison is in bed LOL. (Actually I watch A Christmas Story while getting the presents out and dh is putting the big one together. Then we eat the cookies, and go to bed) So what do you guys do on xmas eve? Julie
  13. I always hit Wal Mart first because its the only store in my town that does BF. (no other big stores, although we are FINALLY getting a Walgreens next yr) Then off to the next town for Sears, Target, Toys R Us, Walgreens, etc....... Julie
  14. We also had a huge snow over Christmas in 2004. I think we ended up with 16-18" I was over the moon!!! I do dream, and it sometimes happens but in southern Illinois its hit and miss. Some years we get it, some we get a few flurries, some we get nothing! LOL
  15. My all time favorite is A Christmas Story. My TV is set to TBS on Christmas eve, its left on ALL night (with the tree LOL) and it doesnt get turned off until Christmas night, after the 24 hour marathon is over. We also love all the Santa Claus (with Tim Allen) movies, Jingle All the Way, Emmet Otters Jugband Christmas, 3 days (I am glad to see I am not the only one that got hooked on that movie lol), Its a Wonderful Life... Ok I love them all! LOL
  16. This is my 4th yr going and my 3rd (maybe 4th even) here on this board, WHICH I LOVE!!!!!! Julie
  17. I usually wear sweat pants, tshirt under a sweatshirt then a coat. Usually the coat gets ditched in the van after my first stop cause I'm hot. My money is usually in my moms pockets since she lets me do the running and she waits in line (if they are getting long) or sits back and listens for me to yell where to go. LMAO Julie
  18. Just drove by our TRU when leaving work and there is already a nice sized line outside. Most of the people are there for the PS3 and one girl was there so far for the TMX. (I know this cause she had previously come into my work to see if we would have any) Thankfully, we already have the TMX and we dont want the PS3 or Wii. Julie
  19. Ok, so I asked around last night at work. First off, its very weird... The employess (or the ones I talked to) called it "Blitz Day" LOL I was like, nooooo its called Black Friday (and then tried to explain blitz), it was pretty funny. Anyways, we did just open this supercenter, they dont think they will stick BF items in Lawn and Garden (but they arent sure), they also all seemed to think they will rope off an entire section of the store from a certain time until 5am. Now this is just my store so unless you live in Southern Illinois it could be different. LOL. But I am watching and asking for everyone! Julie
  20. Last year I was up at 3am and left at 4am to go to Wal Mart. (I was probably around 15-20th person in line) It will depend on who has what when I decide when I'm leaving this year. If I want a hot hot ticket item I'll leave early, if not, I'll leave at 4 again. HTH! Julie
  21. OMG, I am dying laughing! I would probably have PIMP if I had seen that! (can you imagine being 2 or 3 isles over and all the sudden being hit by a flying cabbage patch) Julie
  22. A Christmas Story is a huge favorite here! Santa Clause 1&2 Jingle All the Way 3 Days was a good show also! Does anyone remember (think back now, LOL) Emmit Otters Jug Band Christmas? I think thats probably my favorite from "way back when" lol Music... I like anything Christmas, but my favorite that I can hear year round is Mariah Careys "All I Want for Chirstmas is You"
  23. I use it to print, copy and scan things. I'm in school so it has come in very useful for that, plus I'm always scanning papers and older photographs. Julie
  24. Nope, I go with my mom, who LOVES it, usually I'm on the phone with 2 of my sisters (they both live in Missouri) to see what deals they got and my hubby would go but he stays home with our daughter. lol Julie
  25. I voted sometimes, only cause it depends on if I find something to buy that is a good deal. If so then yes, I wanna get it and be done with it (LOL) otherwise, I wait until I find what I want to buy for them and get it whenever I find it. Julie
