Vacumn that will remove pet hair???
theboyzmom replied to Kgertygirlie's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I don't know about cordless...all the cordless models I tried in the past do not have enough power to really work on hair... -
I got it at Kohls...and I'm storing it at my dad's house right now...by the time I got it from dad's, took it to Kohl's and then went and bought it again at Walmart, I'd spend the $30 I'd be saving in gas and time at least it's only $30...if it was $50 or more, I'd find a way...lol

darn it! I KNEW if I bought that dumb dog early I'd miss out on a better deal....oh well

Rant about Macy's coupon tricks
theboyzmom replied to yellowjeepster's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I was just about to post the very same thing! I tried on their charity event where I bought a coupon book...couldn't find a darn thing in the store I could use it on...and again on BF...again, couldn't find anything I could use that one on either I've pretty much given up on them...I agree, why even bother having these coupons if you can't use them? And I did ask several employees what I could use it on in their area and not one of them was able to point something out to me -
after waiting for 1.5 hours in line at TRU, we finally get to the register and the lady in front of us decides to try to convince the cashier that the manager told her this $60 item was really $20 and she demanded to get that price...it went on and one for over 10 minutes before I asked the line wrangler if we could switch lines...as we were leaving the store, this lady was screaming at the manager...

this is horrible...my heart breaks for this mans family...working at walmart isn't supposed to be a dangerous job this was a large man, I just can't picture the crowds walking over him...it's sad, infurating...I dunno...there are no words that accurately say how I feel about this my first year going to BF we started out at walmart, before we got a 24 hour store and when the doors opened, I literally was crushed into the crowd and didn't walk in to the store...my feet were off the ground and I was carried in crushed between several people...crowd mentality is a scary thing

Our walmart was CRAZY busy today!!!! We got there around 3:30 and almost couldn't find a parking space...we didn't get everything on our lists (even with 3 people getting stuff) came back around 8am and there was NOTHING left of the blitz items...not even a crappy $4 appliance -

my sil picked me up at 3:30am and we headed to Walmart...it was more busy than we have EVER seen! The pallets were all out and unwrapped, and people all over trying to keep their hands on stuff, employees walking by would grab stuff out of their hands and carts and push their hands off the stuff on the pallets. At 4:45 everyone decided they waited long enough and the area my sil was in was CRAZY! She said people started fighting and some lady got pushed down...and this was no where near electronics! I'm so glad I went for fun, if I HAD to get my shopping done in that craziness, I don't think I could do it oh ya, we couldn't get all the stuff we wanted (and we had 3 people spread out in various areas)...came back at 8am and the store was messy, but you couldn't tell it was BF...no pallets out, nothing left -

I got great reponses to my shirt too!!! I had people asking me where items were and did I know if this was the right item that was on sale, etc....honestly I never even thought that they might have thought I was 'official' I'm laughing here!!!!!!! One guy in the line behind me at the cash register yelled rather loudly, "Ok, WHAT doorbusters did you get that I missed???" he was really funny and as I turned around so they could see the front of my shirt, I told them all about our home away from home on the net :) -
I went to Meijer this morning...wanted to see what video games were 50% off....I went back to the electronic section and they had orderly lines (one for the Wii, one for Rock Band, one for video games, etc), EXCEPT that NOBODY could tell me what line to get in!!!!! I had 3 employees (including one manager) tell me which particular line to get in, and when I got there I asked the people ahead of me what line it was....long story short, I NEVER found out what line it was! I waited for the sale to start so I could maybe see which line to head for....they were allowing one person from each line to come up to the counter and make their selection...it was taking FOREVER and nobody who wasn't in line could be in the area, so I never could tell what line I wanted to be in or what they had....left there and went to Kmart....didn't fair any better there... oh well, here's hoping tomorrow is better!
-
I was at ours this morning....there was a line that would have been over an hours wait! All I wanted was ONE $3.99 movie, but I was not going to wait in the same line as people who were there for tvs and gaming systems, etc so I bought some 2 liters of soda and left oh well, guess I didn't need it that badly

all our local teachers hang out at Tim Hortons (it's like a Duncan Donuts), so we usually did gift certificates for there (I homeschool now). I also used to buy a book for the classroom...the teachers LOVED this My mil was a teacher for years and she always told us to NOT buy "apple stuff" or coffee mugs....when she retired, she had over 100 teacher mugs that she didn't know what to do with (we donated them to a retirement community, but honestly I dunno if they used them either). She had a TON of apple themed note pads and stuff...she felt awful giving/throwing the stuff, but what was she supposed to do with it all? lol she recommends gift certificates for coffee shops, stores that teachers buy stuff at (staples, books stores, walmart/target, etc)

games that are normally kept in the lock boxes are still in the lock boxes on BF, yes you will have to try and find someone who has the key to get it for you...some places this may not be a big deal, but I couldn't find anyone who was willign to get one for me last year! I ended up getting it for a similiar deal at GameStop later that morning so I wasn't out, but otherwise I would have been

did you say one of those people is a GottaDealer????????? OMG What in the world are they waiting for???????? You must find out for us.... unreal...

it's not always about being lazy...for the items that are in-store sale, I dunno if I'd do it...but last year I hid a movie that I wanted to PM ONLY because I didn't want to fight crowds that were after other items in the same area...come to find out, later that night they removed ALL of said movie from shelves so it couldn't be PM'd...the manager who rung me up looked at it and looked at me and said he was pretty sure I got the only one in the store...
-
I'd like to throw this out there...if even one person does this (along with me!), it would be wonderful... coats for $8 is a GREAT price...I'd like every shopper to CONSIDER buying just one of these coats and donating it... on a personal note, I'm probably most interested in the GPS...I keep debating on getting one...

I couldn't see the Walmart ad the other day, but I downloaded the newest version of adobe and all of a sudden I could see them....I have NO idea if the two are releated or not... just remember there are TONS of people trying to see them, and some of the ads are REALLY big...patience grasshopper...
