Black Friday Different Next Year? Please Share Your Thoughts!
theboyzmom replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2006
I couldn't believe the number of YOUNG adults in all the lines and with the sole intention of buying the limited items and reselling on certain auction sites or becoming the 'middle man' for people further down the line....I know this because they were ALL announcing it! This was at SEVERAL stores -
next year I'll plan to be at WM at 2 like I was going to this year....if they decided to close the doors and kick me out, I'll sleep in my car.... lol
-
I got 1 of the idogs...but I needed 3 and my sil needed 2 and there were none to be found
-
let's hope Cyber Monday is better than Black Friday....ugh
-
we didn't have any extra stuff at ours either
-
ours had quite a few of the dora and sbob tv's and those big tvs too...some bratz and a few supermen
-
Our WM made me so mad today!!!! They had signs on their door for over a week now saying they would be closed from midnight to 5am, so we get there at 4 to get in line and the place is packed INSIDE!!!! Most of the stuff we wanted was already gone...I guess they decided around 11:30 last night to NOT close....grrrrrr BUT I did go last night around 8pm to do some recon....played smart and got all the DVD's I wanted to PM today....mine were the only ones to be found in the store! They pulled all the other ones
-
I was at our WM today....no ads
-
our garden center was just about empty today....our items must be in a storage unit or something....I sure did try to find them!
-
our walmart has never handed out tickets or numbers...it's always been a crazy race and whoever has it in their hands first gets it
-
Any items we don't know about yet????????
-
I didn't even know there WAS a store!!! lol sadly, I'm in Michigan (all the stores are Texas and Cali) but thanks!
-
I went to Kmart yesterday cause their ad said that Ben10 toys were all on sale...so as I was digging through the shelves for the items I needed, I also came across a 'cool' toy... I forget the exact name, but it's basically like a big GI Joe, but it's a Dog! My son is CRAZY about dogs, so I thought it was perfect! Here's the good part....there were no signs, they were not in the ad, and they were ON SALE!!!!!!!!! I even got the 'bonus' packs for LESS than the regular guys!!!! I love surprise sales!!!!
-
anything is possible :) this is the main reason why we are still going to WM first...never know what else they will have up their sleeves
-
no way...our BB will only allow so many people in the store at one time, so unless you are one of the first 15, you will wait even longer I'll be at WM
-
no major items needed this year either, so I guess I'm still going with Walmart first (I like to have the paper ads in hand first too)...mostly looking for stocking stuffer and small gifts... I'm excited about BF in general, but none of the ads excites me too much, so I haven't really made much of a plan

Where can I buy Butterscotch Pony right now?
theboyzmom replied to Mugglemom's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Not sure what stock is like where you are, but my Target has them and so does Walmart good luck! -
actually, I've checked all the ads for Kohl's, KB, etc and they have many of the Scene It games, but not this one! I have found it at Barnes and Noble online and Amazon, as well as a few other online stores...so I guess I'll be buying it online! lol just thought I'd update if anyone else was looking for this
-
my sil who lives EXACTLY 2 blocks away from me got ads yesterday and I didn't!!!! we are less than 10 miles from the super walmart... makes no sense
-
our walmart does NOT give out maps....and there is no rhyme or reason to where blitz items are placed...normally the idogs are in toys, but for BF? heck, they could be in with frozen pizza! lol
-
Super Walmarts: What time to do you get there to wait on BF?
theboyzmom replied to pmward725's topic in 2006
mine is closed midnight to 5am as well -
it really depends on the store...if you have 'three little ones' and you expect them to each get a ticket for an item, that's suggesting that they also have their own money and will be purchasing the item as well on their own a lot of stores are also cracking down on this and starting to go to the 'one per household' rule because of it....what if the store only has 10 and the first person is a mom and her 6 kids and they each get a ticket....not REALLY cheating, but I'm sure the 5th person in line would be plenty mad
-
ok...go for it...I hope it works for you...maybe your store is the ONLY ONE in the entire chain that is doing pricematching
-
Anyone heard of what their BF/early bird specials are this year???
-
depends on the store, and sometimes that particular cashier
