My sil just called me and said it took her HOURS to get through and got the confirmation (I got a conf # too, so hopefully) maybe we flooded them with requests...sorry....I suggest maybe calling later this week...we all know that a lot of times it depends on who you call and when good luck (and those of you with a Wendy's, get a kids meal and send in the bag!)

It's 9.99 for BOTH (TWO games for $9.99) and no extra for shipping! A very good deal since ONE of these games is $20 by itself!

What did you do when your kids snooped in their gifts???
theboyzmom replied to DramaQueenLucy's topic in 2006
I told my kids from day 1, "if you peek at your gifts, I will take it back and get you something not as nice" I've actually overheard my oldest telling his friends...they asked him if he did any snooping or peeking for his gifts and he said NO WAY, then explained why it's worked great for us -
Is it fair for small children to open Santa gifts Christmas
theboyzmom replied to Spooot's topic in 2006
that's the way we did it when we were growing up.... we don't do Santa here, but we still get our kids a bunch of gifts and my mil expects everyone at her house by 9am. there were several years where my bil and sil brought their kids in their pj's and had them open their 'santa' gifts there as well as their family gifts...that was terrible! their kids didn't get to enjoy their stuff, and my kids had to watch them open all their fun gifts we have my parents over for dinner on the 23rd, we do our personal Christmas (dh, me, 3 boys and dog) on the 24th and they get to play with all their stuff all day, then morning of 25th we go to inlaws (we still do the 'get up and find all the stuff under the tree thing', just on the 24th and the gifts are from mom and dad) -
I will NOT risk losing all my shopping if they can't fix their site...they claim the BF crown and promote online shopping...did they think nobody would use it??? I figure they have a year to get their act together...
-
well that's just plain awful! I'm sure that happened at several places

I used to work for an agency that was the distrubtion coordinator for TFT...yes, if you possible can, make your donation to the Marines in person or a coordination site...we heard ALL the time how those toy stores donation bins were rummaged through...and plenty of the bins were stolen from...we had 3 that were emptied at a BANK!!!!

I really thought the option of having Ross's phone available was AWESOME!!!! I wish I had written it down cause my computer CRASHED on Thanksgiving and I wasn't able to see Walmart's 'secrets' (found out quickly that I didn't miss anything though) maybe have a couple of the moderators available, but list specific days and times/zones -
Layaways @ Wal-mart to go on Clearance 12/18
theboyzmom replied to t_mulkey's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
a credit card isn't always a good option....especially store-specific cards where the interest rate is higher... however, something I hadn't even considered before but read on here and makes perfect sense....there are lots of people who used LAW to help hide the gifts! For those in small houses or apartments with no storage, it was a perfect solution! -
no online order available...it's generally a mail in offer, but I called the 'question' line and found out I could do it over the phone PS the $9.99 INCLUDES shipping!!
-
Update...even better!!!!! I called the number to make sure whether I had to send the whole bag in or just the certificate (we all know how tricky they can make these offers sometimes...) I got to order it over the phone and had the option of paying by check when it comes or with a credit card right then!!!! So here is the number and offer code: 1-866-383-8418 US code: 829643R8H-2 Can code: 723043R90-8 this is general customer service for Scholastic (who is doing the offer), make sure you tell them you would like to order the I Spy CD-ROMs from the Wendy's deal I'm happy...

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
theboyzmom replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
yup, I went to Target today and there was NO clearance to be found! -
We went to Wendy's today cause I was told they are giving away CD-ROMS with each kids meal (they are), and one of them is the I Spy game, the whole reason we went. Of course ours was out of them (for those interested, they also have Clifford, a Dora-like girl, and Goosebumps). HOWEVER, on the bag the meal comes in, there is an offer to buy TWO I Spy games on CD-ROM for $9.99....these are minimum $20 EACH in the stores...so it's a good deal! The offer is good through March 31, 2007...but if you want it for the holiday, I'd order early good luck!

Walmart is saying that their loss in profits is due to their MAJOR price slashing prior to BF... ummmm....are there any WM exec's reading this board????? Here is why you did so crappy: no layaway (MAJOR mistake) no consistant policies chainwide (pricematching, hours, product placement, etc) CRAP for specials CRAP for secrets (a robe???? sheets????? puke...) pushing people to buy online and then the entire site crashes....nail in the coffin in my opinion of course, these are just MY opinions...but I will go out on a limb and say I don't think I'm alone here....
-
I agree too....I used GD more this year than any other year and was sooooo appreciative
-
I just started reading this thread today cause we don't have a Kohls here, but we will have one by BF 2007! It sounds like this will be one on my list!
-
We never saw anything on the tv or in the papers about Target PMing this year, but since I heard it here, I tried....ours looked at me like I was crazy no PMing at Target is what I was told
-
Was anyone else briefed by store mgr while waiting in line???
theboyzmom replied to shaneberry21's topic in 2006
ummmm....NO the ONLY thing our Target did right this year was to put carts all around the store and told people NOT to get a cart at the door (there were only about 25 carts there anyway) and that they could get one inside the store...made for less 'bottle neck' we had few employees, no idea of where things were, LONG checkout lines...
