http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=22298 Unless they post a sign near the item saying it's a misprint, I think they should still have to honor it. What cr@p! Edited: Your request isn't crazy, someone here will find you a deal (maybe not as good, but better than average!). Those awesome deals can be had all year long, just stick around.

Do you do this? Either in your house (if you decorate with them) or on the tree or outside? We turn them off inside on the tree before we go to bed. I am unsure about leaving the ones on our house on all night. It looks so festive but I wonder how much it raises the electric bill?! FTR, we bought icicle lights this year (30', not much IMO). The fire hazard of having anything plugged in also freaks me out (paranoid? yep). What do you do?!

LMAO! Yep, they were always animated (those that are now anyway). So yep, your computer was that ancient.

Thanks. I had seen some of that on my local news, but not the entire video. Maybe someone has the link for the Best Buy (or maybe it was CC?) where the guys beat the crap out of one another?

I'd take it right back in and tell them I want my upgrade that I PAID for. I was reading on another board, the laptops they sold - most people got the 256mb ram instead of the 512mb as the ad stated.

I encourage you to write the companies you had good and/or bad experiences at. Nothing lengthy unless you want too, but I believe feedback of any kind really helps most stores improve. Most of these you can send a simple email through the Contact Us link on their web site. They usually fwd on the email to the local store for the manager to read. :) This isn't to get anything out of your experience (esp if you had a bad one), it's more to help them improve for next year. Just a thought!

Make sure it works, if it does - then cut out UPC, photocopy receipt and send in UPC and the original receipt. Make sure to also photocopy the UPC itself and any rebate forms (already filled out) as well. This will be your evidence in case it is somehow lost. IMO, it's worth it to take it out quickly, see if it works and re-package it. No one will be able to tell.

Seagate and Maxtor hard drives are two of the leading HD's I've seen dying on people, no recovery at all possible due to the damage (with regular use). It's called "my humble opinion". :)

Do You Think Stores Learned Any Lessons This BF? Especially Walmart!!
alimfp replied to Dust N Bones's topic in 2005
That wasn't the point of my reply. Obviously quite a few think like you do, it doesn't matter who touches you, on and on and on.. as long as you get that item. Again, as I said above, even the managers at these stores can't do much other than call the cops to have on hand. -

Of course they are out for the money, just like we as consumers are out for the savings. But stores only have so much legal ground (read: very little) as to what they can do. They lay one finger on a person (even a person in the wrong) and there runs the person to their lawyer screaming, "LAWSUIT!". So I don't blame them, they can't do much of anything. A lot of stores called in the police this year, I hope more do it next year. -
Erm, you said "you" twice in your reply - do you think the OP (original poster aka RossMAN in this instance) is the person who went through this? Just curious. Your reply confused me.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I don't trust some people on another site, one mentioned above. I think a few lie in order to make things easier on themselves to explain it simply. Anyway, if they overcharge, I'll just return to sender and call them to complain. If they cancel the order, they cancel it - I don't care.
-
I agree with mugs, open your items before you leave the store (after purchasing though). You know how you go to return something and they look inside as you come in and then mark the box (with a sticker)? That's to prevent theft.. well, you have to prevent the other ways of theft (from yourself) as well. Still, he didn't handle it as well as he could have. Yes, I would have been upset, it's a LOT of money. BUT I wouldn't have went ape sh*t like he did. I would have been the one calling the police before anyone else or anything big happened.
-
To be honest, I don't trust some of them over there.. I've also done of a lot of these to good to be true Amazon deals and at worst had my order cancelled without notice. So far, no charges on my CC nor my order cancelled on Amazon.
-
nsx - it does make sense, it's hard to explain though. Since they split the deliveries up, they had to split the order totals up. Technically your total is still $44.36 though.

Completely and utterly wrong. Bait and switch IMO. Attorney general needs contacted (a simple letter will do usually).

Email confirmation rec'd.. lets hope it says shipped in the next few days.

One of the strange things (that got a few people mad in fact) I saw.. this guy and his girlfriend/wife/whatever brought their new baby. No big deal until you see the baby, very much a newborn, with no hat on (and it had little to no hair) and just a thin onesie with a thin blanket over her legs. I thought it was a doll at first, but no - it was real. Here I was in a shirt, sweatshirt and a nice thick coat, along with long pants, pair of socks and my tennis shoes - and I was freezing! The mother in me just wanted to ask those people wth their problem was. I understand in a way bringing a child with you, when you have no sitter for them.. but dress them appropriately!
