  1. We put ours up every year on Thanksgiving. The kids wanted to do it earlier this year. Last week to be exact. But our oldest is in college and won't be getting home till Tues. or Wed. So since I put it together and all the kids decorate it every year together, we have to wait. Then each year the kids take turns putting the angel on top.
  2. I was gonna say umbrella or poncho. But you all beat me to it.
  3. Thanks for the info. Wonder if this will carry over to the BF ad. Probably not. I'm hoping they have it for at least a year on any purchase over 299 on that day.
  4. That's a good question. Hopefully it won't be too high. But I won't be able to make it to walmart to get one. So long as it's not over 5 dollars or so it's worth it to me to not have to go into that madness. I used to go there every year. Almost got hurt one year and will not go back on that day till later in the day. But with those, I know they won't have them by the time I get there. I have a lot of friends that work there and they are calling me a traitor for not standing out there. I told em, let me in the garden center when you go in and I will come!!
  5. I used to coach cheerleaders. Both highschool and middle school. I have seen 5th graders come to my tryouts with cells. Not sure what age that is anymore but I thought it was silly. I guess it all depends on your preference. You could always go with a prepaid one. I know a lot of my friends kids that have them at only 11. Not much help am I?
  6. Depends on what you are getting. The rebates themselve take hardly anytime at all to get to you. Although this time of year they may take longer. On some speaker systems I purchased for my pc, as well as my 2 daughters laptops. I was able to get 3 rebates from the 3 purchases. Normally if there are only 1 rebate allowed. They advertise as such and the store clerk would be able to tell you that also. Hope this helps!
  7. I had this same problem yesterday. Scott's right. It worked for me.
  8. Ours here only opens one side of the main doors. (there are 2 sets of doors there) No garden doors will be opened. If they did that, the last ppl in line would get in before everyone else. The employee's here go in there thought. It's the safest way for them not to get mobbed! Don't go though.. you will get squished! Lmao! Of course I'm just kiddin'. Just tryin' to throw in a little humor.
  9. Yep, I tried that too. My daughter wanted a disney bassinet for the grandbaby I have coming. It was 20.00 cheaper online. Took the printed out page and they said no. Odd, I know BB and other stores will pm their own stuff. But they said no way at WM. Even told me if you order online by the time you pay shipping it will cost more then theirs there. Did the whole ordering thing and it still came out 10.00 cheaper. Go figure. Price did go up after I ordered it online.
  10. Did anyone notice those huge bratz dolls are available on walmart.com that day? Just a thought. I'm gonna check that out before I leave the house. Then maybe again after I get back for the day if I can't find it.
  11. Our son also has that computer. All you will need to get is a wireless router, and they have usb connectors for the cards now. Our sons computer has one of these and it works really well. Don't go with the old stuff, eg. routers and cards that have the b after the numbers. The g routers and cards are great.. not long range but if it's a desktop staying in his room it should be fine. My whole house is wireless and we have over 6 pc's going here and I did the network myself. (Trust me I'm not a computer wiz, just know some stuff about them) This is what our son has on pc, which is the same pc you bought last year from BB. Netgear wireless G- usb adapter. (looks just like a usb memory stick) And we have in the living room the netgear wireless router. The router will tell ya how to hook it all up. It's not that hard either. You don't have to use these brands or get them at this place. Just wanted to show you what we are using to give ya an idea. Other brands sell the same type things. Hope this helps you! 12. I can remember a few years back when they built the WM closer to us. I have seen Kmart stickers on items on the shelves there. Now that they are cracking down on returns I think it's fine the way they handle it. Makes it tuff on some of us, especially since I lose reciepts all the time. I'm bad that way. I still from time to time take items back, but they give me a gift card without a reciept. But then again, most of the ppl at our WM know me by name, I'm there that much. Scary huh?
  13. If you have a Meijer's by you, they have a 20 tv/dvd combo cheaper. I think it's like 79.97 or something like that. Just checked again.. it's also a flat screen. Just a heads up.
  14. I think they are always unhappy that the ad gets leaked out. To me it's better for business. But that's just me. I mean.. look at how crazy the lines get more and more each year. Doesn't seem bad for business. Thanks for sharing.
  15. I believe if anyone was to do this, it would one, scare the crap outta others and they would be afraid to get in line with you, and two, would probably make the night go by really fast with the whole line buzzing about the "weird guy" in the spidey costume . Either way sounds like fun. I won't do it, but still sounds like fun.
  16. Our one daughter did that when she was a little girl. Found a dried out worm in her pants pocket.. when she found out it dried out she was all upset. Thought for sure she was gonna be a tomboy. But she's not. Hope all works out well for the original poster. Those dolls do cost alot of money. Your post probably saved ppl on this board lots of money. Thanks for sharing!
  17. Hubby BB Me Meijer's..It's my turn to stay warm, first time ever BF shopping.
  18. Not here in Indiana. Wish they would give us a break!
  19. Off I go gotta get stuff for thee ( hey it rhymes!) A few expresso shots to keep me buzzing like a bee
  20. Yeah I thought it was cute. There were actually a few people saying, guess I gotta get in line that day. Cracked me up. They put their stuff back too.
  21. I have an ad that came in our Sunday paper sitting right here in front of me. It's all electronics and is only good from the 13th thru the 19th. It has lots of stuff in it. But I'm saving to go out on BF. It also has the 2 new game systems in it that are coming out later this week.
  22. I was out shopping with hubby and was wandering around walmart last week. We went into electronics to find a xbox contoller for our son. (dog chewed the cord on other one) Anyway, I was shocked. 2 ladies were walking around telling people don't buy this or that. They will have it on sale on BF. She had the ad printed out in black and white. That was a first for me to see anytime before BF. These were 2 cute older women. Wonder if they got it from GD? Just thought I'd share that with ya's!
  23. I remember the days of getting to stores later in the wee hours of the morning and being first in line. Not gonna happen now a days. Too many ppl wanting realizing the bargains. The funny thing is, most stores now don't have the great bargains they had back then. And it's worse out there now! Go figure!
