I was going to have flowers delivered to my mom at her work for her b-day and they were going to charge me $7.00 to deliver, the flower place is 1 BLOCK from where she works!! $7 for 1 block! I said NO!

1968 River View High School, Warsaw, Ohio (Coshocton area) School said they don't keep extras that long, gave me the name of publisher but said they probably won't have any either since they sent all the stuff back to them after printing.

Good idea, this is actually what brought it up. He was telling us last night that he was in one of them and the lady in front of him bought the one he wants!! It was the only one they had, but I will check a couple other stores in town tomorrow. (He wasn't actually there looking for it, but said he wishes he had seen it before her )

I thought about an ad in the local paper, but he reads it front to back and would know my phone # etc. No alumni newsletter either.

Ok, I checked ebay completed auctions, none. I did post a want it now ad. And ds17 is going to check with the school tomorrow (he goes to the same school) to see if they have extras and who the publisher was. Thanks for the ideas!! Any others?

I just found out that my dad never got a yearbook for his Senior year in High School and would like to have one. So I have decided to try to find one for him for Father's Day this year (he is soooo hard to buy for!lol) I've checked ebay, local craigslist and so far nothing, although I did post wanted ads on both. Does anyone know any other ways to locate an old yearbook? HELP!

I agree!! I bought my son 2 NEW psp games there on BF and was shocked that they had to go in the back to get the game to put in the case!! The Gamestop I usually go to has 1 for display and then they go get the new SEALED one from the back. If they had been for anyone but my own child, I wouldn't have bought them because as you said, they look used.

But....if I'm understanding this law, that is precisely the reason for the new law! To keep retailers from promoting a FREE item that you really have to pay for and then send in MIR. I understand it that the store is supposed to give you the rebate on the spot, making your out of pocket -0-, for that free item. Then the store sends in the MIR. The article says it is to keep stores from hoping the consumer doesn't send the MIR in and the store keeps the money. That's my interpretation of it anyway. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (I know you will ) LOL!!

check Sears, I was there yesterday and they have a prelit slim tree, they had 7ft, 7& 1/2 ft and 9 ft! Didn't look at prices though, sorry

Newark, Ohio 50% Someone called while I was there asking if it was still 50% and the salesman acted po'd about it, saying, "Just tell them it's 50% off and I have NO IDEA when it will be 75%" Very rude. Of course, they probably get tons of those calls a day LOL

We get a real tree and this year for the first time ever, it died on us. It was all we could do to salvage it 4 days until Christmas So it came down first thing on the 26th. What a mess!! By the time we took all the ornaments off of it, it was nothing but a brown stick, no green needles to be found (unless you looked at my floor!!) We kept it watered, don't know what happened. Funny thing is, there were still some branches we had to cut off of it to fit in the house lying on our deck, and they were still alive and well I think next year we'll put up the artificial one!! LOL

My mom had this happen with a cd, she took it back to Walmart and they gave her another one, no problems. Told her it actually happens more than you'd think. Her's was factory sealed though, with no cd in it.

I am just AMAZED! My ebay package that I bought on 12/3 arrived on Christmas Eve. Just in time!! I had given up all hope because the seller won't answer emails. Talk about a Christmas miracle (that's what ds17 said when he brought the mail in:) )

I went to Walmart today because we ran out of paper towels, and it wasn't really all that bad. Yesterday was way worse!!!

That is sooo sweet of your son! It brought tears to my eyes reading it because all I can think of is my spoiled ds17 telling us that he had better get an ipod touch for Christmas! While ds5 just wants a surprise, he'll be happy with anything.

emailed them numerous times, and received no response. So I finally filed a complaint with paypal and then they decided to respoond! They said, wait until Jan. 3 then let us know if it doesn't arrive. WHAT?!?! I understand it is coming from Hong Kong, but 22 days?!?! Also, I bought another item from the same seller at the SAME TIME and received it over a week and a half ago!! Why they weren't shipped together I have NO IDEA!! I'm giving it until Monday 12/24 and changing the complaint to a dispute for item not recieved. And oh yeah, their auctions and emails both state 6-10 dyas for delivery!!

MIL doesn't buy my kids anything...ever. She hasn't even seen them in over 3 years, and she lives 10 minutes away. FIL has NEVER seen ds5, and only seen ds17 a couple of times when he was like 2 maybe for the last time. No loss because dh and I both agree our kids are better without knowing them.
