I agree, I just bought dh the Elite beacause the 120GB hardrive alone cost $170 but the price difference between the Elite and the Premium is only $100. Of course, I got the Holiday Elite bundle witht he 2 free games :)

A couple of years ago, our Walmart decided to build a Super Center OUTSIDE of the city limits to avoid the city taxes. The old Walmart was inside the city limits. So the city tried to annex the area they wanted to build on and Walmart told them outright, if you do, we will not build in your area, we will build it in the next town, but we will still close your store. So the city ended up cutting a deal with them where Walmart DOESN'T pay city taxes, but their employees DO!!! (p.s. this is a VERY small town and Walmart is basically the ONLY store we have for about 45 miles or more)

My parents spend the same amount on dh and I but his don't. We aren't really on speaking terms with his family anymore (that's a whole different story LOL) but the last year we were, his mom gave dh $100, each of our 2 boys $75, and me $20. I don't really care, but I thought it was wrong to spend more on dh than his kids. JMO

But keep watching Sears too cause it was $314.99 a couple weeks ago when we bought it.

ds17 says that for the ps2, you can use the guitar hero 2 guitar with guitar hero 3, that is why they sell the game by itsself too. He's usually up on all this stuff, unlike me. But if I understand it correctly, if the gh2 that you have was purchased as a bundle, it probably has a wired guitar, gh3 comes with a wireless guitar. (They do sell a wireless for gh2, but I believe it was sold separately and not in a bundle) But that may be why your child would want the new bundle. Maybe?

We DO NOT go anywhere near KB's until long after the doorbusters are over!Our's is also a very small store in the mall and they form a line back the mall and only let in a certain amount of people. You basically get in line as soon as they let you in and just pick up the items you need as the line moves. We tried this one year, didn't go until about 9am and we were "stuck" in the store for over an hour before we said forget it and crowded our way back out through the entrance!! By the time we get there now, if we even bother to go, the place is totally ramsacked! NOT worth the trouble to me!

We don't have a local Target, but we were in a town that has one yesterday so I decided to go see if they had any good deals since I'm always reading what all of you find :) Well, I got an xbox 360 Basketball game for $9.98 (it was marked $13.98 but rand up $9.98 which made it even sweeter) and a Transformer regular $19.99 for $9.98. It is a new one too, says it is a Target exclusive and it was the only one left so maybe that is why it was marked down. They also had the xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle out (which Best Buy said is supposed to be released on Tuesday of this coming week) So we picked it up for dh's Christmas gift. All in all, it was a good shopping trip.

Whatever happened to Customer Service? When I was in high school, I worked retail and we were told, "The customer is always right" Now, it seems, the customer is just a bother!! I would pay more to shop at a store that treated their customers (and employees) better.

They were slow to ship my order, but it was worth it to me after saving $23 plus free shipping. But it'a for Christmas so I had the time.

We are almost done with our shopping and I can honestly say, we probably only spent about $50 at Walmart so far. Still need toget dh an xbox 360 and am waiting on the holiday bundle but now I will buy it at Best Buy! I normally do all my xmas shopping at Walmart as it is the only local store, but we were treated horribly last year when waiting in line for a PS3 so I took the majority of my shopping elsewhere! Walmart needs to learn that it's our money and if they don't want to treat us right, we CAN and WILL spend it somewhere else!!
