  1. We hid our oldest son's gifts in his little brother's closet one year. It was the year ds6 was born so our oldest son didn't have any reason to be looking in his baby brother's closet since all that was in there (or so he thought) was a stockpile of diapers and clothing from my baby shower;) We have also used the locked luggage idea as someone else posted, a cooler that was in the basement. But mostly if we don't want him to find something, we keep it at my parent's house (he's 18 but still a bip snoop:))
  2. I don't really expect to find it on sale as it was just released, but maybe some place has buy Rock Band 2 get xxx free? I only need the game as they already have the instruments.
  3. I'm in too! I just sent you an email with my info :)
  4. We go to my parent's house for t-day. Not sure how the holidays are going to work out for us this year yet though since dh got a new job and works swing shifts. But I did tell ds18 not to make any plans for BF cause he's watching his brother ds6 if dh has to work it !
  5. I'd have to agree with you! We went to the Belden Village area one year and what a mess!! Traffic was HORRIBLE! Never again! I'll stick to my semi small towns
  6. Add me to the list of people who ordered from them, was charged (although it was only a couple $$ thankfully!), never received anything, and can't contact them!! RUN RUN RUN from this company!
  7. Thank you for this site though,it gives me people to talk to who understand the addiction since everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for being all excited about BF already! I tell them to go to gottadeal.com and they'll catch the fever
  8. It is also part of my T-day holiday and paid day off. the problem this year will be since dh has a new job, he will have to work and I will have to find someone else to watch ds6 since dh usually does. I told ds18 not to make any plans :) He's babysitting
  9. I've never had a problem returning video games when my son received 2 of the same one, as long as the game is still factory sealed, never been opened.
  10. Yeah and that stinks as far as I'm concerned! I don't care what they say, you don't get as many uses out of it:no:
  11. Thank you for this thread!! I bought a microwave at Walmart last December and it will only work for about 20 seconds at a time now. Has PF on the display. It is a GE. After reading this thread I decided to call GE. Turns out the PF = Power Failure and the microwave has been coded Return to Vendor. If you have your receipt and fax it to them they will send you a refund. If you don't have your receipt, they will send you $50. I wasn't sure where my receipt was so I told them to just send the $50. After I hung up, I found the receipt, but we only paid $54.88 so oh well. It would cost me the extra $4.88 to fax them the receipt LOL. I'm happy with the $50. Anyway, thanks for the thread!! It motivated me to call :)
  12. DS18 makes sure we know exactly what he wants while ds6 is happy with whatever.
  13. I usually try to get the main items my kids want way in advance to make sure I get them. But so far, the kids and dh haven't mentioned anything they want:shock:
  14. I will go if there is something that I want in the ad, but it is a 45 minute drive to Kmart or Meijer's for me, so it has to be a really good deal. I do go to Walmart after leaving my parent's house though, cause our's hands out store maps for BF then :) Helps me plan my 'attack' LOL
  15. Voted!! Remember to vote each day.
  16. I always wait until the item is available in stores that sell the 'as seen on tv' merchandise to buy if I really want it. Usually cheaper that way AND you have the store's return policy if you don't like it or it doesn't work as advertised. JMHO... I don't have any experience with this steamer/mop, but my mom bought this one: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/shopbyroom/laundryutilityroom/hardfloor/PRD~287098/Shark+Steam+Mop.jsp over a year ago from Kohls when it was on sale and she LOVES it! Seems like the same features:confused:
  17. We have both the xbox 360 and a ps3 and I would say it would be a preference choice. The xbox you pay for online play the ps3 it's free, but the xbox online play is monitored to help eliminate cheating where the ps3 has a lot of cheaters etc. The ps3 comes with blu-ray player. The xbox has a lot more games it seems. That being said, the xbox 360 gets a LOT more play at our house, almost everyday where as the ps3 can go for days if not weeks at a time without being turned on. The problem I see you are having is you have 2 kids and each wants a different system. Let each one plead their case as to what is better about the system they want, and then decide. JMHO...
  18. Thanks! That is awesome to see where everyone will be! I imagine by BF the map will be full LOL:yup:
  19. Hits: xbox 360, psp, and ipod touch Misses: tickle me elmo xtreme (luckily I got it at retail and didn't pay a fortune on ebay)
  20. Zanesville, Ohio and Newark, Ohio.
  21. LOL! I'm hoping they do some sort of promotion before Christmas...
  22. I haven't seen any lately that can be used by anyone. Usually when they have one, it is by invite only.
  23. If you are a member of Dell Perks, you can get an ipod from target.com for 10% off.
  24. For anyone interested, I have this camera and LOVE it! That is a GREAT price for it too!!
  25. Yep, which actually saves me money cause I don't buy all the sale items like this (although I'd love to buy it, but won't due to shipping cost)any more (with shipping, they're not such a good deal )
