  1. We always go to my husband's grandparent's house but his grandmother has just been put in a nursing home (kinda sad) so I'm not sure how all that will play out now. Then we go home and the kids get to open 1 gift. It's always pj's and they know that even before they open them but they still love it.
  2. Usually it's in the living room but I can't seem to find a place for it in here right now. It may have to go in the dining room unless I do some major rearranging.
  3. Can't decide if I'm going to sears or walmart first.
  4. I sparyed the big windows in the front of the house last year. So pretty, but....HUGE MISTAKE! We had to scrape it off and I think if you looked real hard right now you would probably see a few flakes left.
  5. Me too, although the last few craft shows I've been to I ended up buying more food than crafts. (Good food at craft shows.)
  6. We use candy canes but after about a week there aren't any left on the bottom half.(I have short kids.) No tinsle around here, that stuff gets EVERYWHERE!
  7. I just started posting in the Lounge recently and I am hooked. So if you do start having withdrawls the Lounge would be a good place for therapy. Hehe! just realized this is was my 200th post!
  8. My gottadeal tshirt of couse.......hope it gets here soon.
  9. Hmmmmmm......wonder if I can get out of WM in time to be there when sears opens.
  10. I don't have time for withdrawls. 3 kids and they've always got something going.
  11. I always have in years past but it takes FOREVER for my kids to unwrap them so I may not this year.
  12. My husband would definitly love steaks as a Christmas gift. I also have heard Regis and Kelly give away their gift certificates.
  13. My kids get to open 1 gift on Christmas Eve night (it's always pj's). All the other gifts stay until the next morning. Santa's gifts appear on Christmas morning. Sometimes he wraps them and sometimes he doesn't it just depends on what it is.
  14. I too will be going to sears for the kids *official* Christmas pics. I always take the Christmas card pic myself (I love good snapshots) and have the cards printed at Walmart.
  15. Former postal employee here. In my experience, if you mail an item even as late as Dec. 20-21 priority mail (U.S.)it should have no problen getting there. But, if your really in a crunch always use express mail. It will cost you a little more but it is guaranteed to get there in 1-2 days (depending on where it's going they'll either tell you 1 day or 2 days) and if it doesn't you get a total refund of postage. They will even deliver it to your door on Christmas morning if it's express. (ex. They tell you it will get there in 1 day and it ends up taking 2= you get all your $ back). Whatever you decide to do if using USPS, always mail a pkg. priority or express, never parcel post. The priority and express pkgs. ALWAYS get handled alot better.
  16. I put my tree up the night before Thanksgiving. We're so busy between Thanksgiving and Christmas it just seems easier to have it already done.
  17. Man, I am so undecided. I don't know whether I should hit Sears or Walmart first.
  18. Oh that's bad, I feel for her.
  19. I am soooooo ready for my $10 Sears card.
  20. I always start ASAP. I have nosey kids.
  21. My 3 kids are always at the top, whether they've been naughty or nice.
  22. A few years ago my mom had a rather large Christmas tree in her cart and an elderly lady tried to swipe it when her back was turned. When my mom turned around and saw the lady she laughed because it was too heavy for the lady and she couldn't get it out of the cart.
  23. I agree, I was almost injured by one of those DVD players as it was flying through the air at Walmart at 6:00 in the morning on BF.
  24. It doesn't matter to me where they come from as long as they keep coming. Who knows, maybe the people around here are just psychic.
  25. My son, 4 1/2, loves dinosaurs. A few weeks ago I bought him a bag of little plastic dinosaur figures at Walmart for 2.97 and he plays with them all the time. He got some kind of little hot wheels set last year for Christmas and the parts didn't fit together just right so therefore the cars didn't "drive" right. He still plays with the cars but the sets are long gone.
