  1. Last year I went for the 40' Westinghouse and I camped outside of Target from 5:45 pm on Thanksgiving evening until 4 in the morning when they opened. I live 3 minutes away. I had to use the bathroom one time, so I called my mom and she came and sat in my place until I got back. Mind you, I was first in line and I did end up getting my tv. It was 12 degrees with the wind chill factor and there were winds whipping all about all night. People who were waiting in their cars felt so sorry for me that some of them offered to sit in my place and let me warm up in their car, but I declined. Then they ended up buying me coffee, which really helped me get through the last few hours. I had an exceptionally thick comforter and a chair but I was still so cold. The last few hours were the hardest. During the last half an hour I had my mom come and take the comforter and chair away so I could get prepared to go in when it was time. So as l said, I was the first in line. They say no pushing and running, but when the doors opened, people ran and most of the tv's were gone buy the time I walked over there, (but I did get one). Like a dummy, my ex sister in law asked me to get a gps for her boyfriend and I ended up getting caught in the line for 2 and a half hours when I should have just got my tv and left. I got the gps and it was the wrong one, so I ended up having to go to Walmart and stand in line for her. I gave her the gps after a month of her not having the money, which I did not know at the time and then in January she ends up taking it back to get the money back and she went shopping, so my 10 hours of camping got me caught up. My tip would be, if you are going to camp, make sure it is for you and only you. If anyone wants you go get anything, they need to have their butt out there with you.
  2. Oh wow. Thanks so much for that info. Ill be on the lookout for that on the site.
  3. This will be my first time shopping at Target on BF and I am going for one of the Westinghouse TV's. I would like to know since it is on the BF sale list, will that item be by the door, or will it be in the electronics department?
  4. Chaos, madness, angry people who just have to get this one item, people running outside in the cold to get to their car, it all makes me feel like a child again and I feel the excitement of Christmas, even if I do not plan to spend alot
  5. This is why I shop on Black Friday http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2218857/black_friday_2009_shopping_guide_.html?cat=46 The madness is addictive!
  6. This Christmas and A Christmas Story which is classic. What I also like to do is watch movies that are not necessarily Christmas movies per say but rather winter movies or movies that feature a storyline set in winter or Christmas time. Strangely one of may favorite movies is Die Hard. If you notice parts 1 and 2 are both set around Christmas.
  7. I always stop by Walmart first. This year will be no different in that aspect but I think I iwll be going for electronics first instead of toys

  9. Exactly 4 weeks until Thanksgiving! This will only be my second black friday this year. But I know enough about it to know that there are certain things that happen on bf that are generally unacceptable, strange or over-the-top on a regualr day of shopping, but because it's black friday people overlook some of these things. Everything is just different about that day, the way people act, shopping methods, excitement, the feeling of the people, even driving patterns change. Share the differences you notice on bf. So let me start off. Black Friday isn't black Friday without waiting more than 15 minutes to get a parking space at the mall, then only to have someone swoop in out of nowhere and take the parking spot. Your turn:D
