My grandmother started the pj's on Christmas Eve tradition in our family with my mom and her brothers and sisters. Mom did it with us and now I do it for my kids. They get so excited every year even though they know what it is they're gonna open.

We have a wall between the kitchen and living room that I tape them to. Everyone at church gives them out so we usually get lots. If it wasn't for church we wouldn't get that many either.

I have everything except for my kids gifts wrapped. Anyone wanna babysit three kids tomorrow so I can get it all done?
-
You did great!! You're wife is gonna be so excited. I think I need to print this thread and leave it casually laying around the house so my husband will find it.

We go to church every Sunday and since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year that's where we'll be Christmas morning.
-
Yep, I got some at WalMart yesterday too.

Oh man, if I ever see one of my kids masterpieces on that site....I WILL HUNT THAT GUY DOWN!!! And it will not be pretty when I'm through with him.
-
Call the other store and see if they have them. Does the kitchen require a certain type of accessory? I mean can you just go to like WalMart and get some stuff to go with it? If all else fails, I agree, she is just 2 and will not care if she gets the accessories before or after Christmas.

baby food, spoons, books, snacks, keepsake jewelry

They did this right before the last flyer too, and when the flyers came out they weren't that great. I'm not holding my breath, but hey it'd be nice is they had a major sale.

For a small gift you could get a set of those magnetic sticks (I'm not sure what they're called I just know you build stuff with them.) My cousins son who is 11 and has every toy in the workd was wanting them.

Great deal!

My daughter's class does this every year. She's 10 and this year the $$$ limit was $5-$7. I got a hair thingy/brush set with like 4 different brushes, hair clips, ponytail holders, etc. I also got a bath set that had body wash, lotion, the scrubby thingy and something else. Spent exactly $7. For boys I have seen some of them get the hand held electronic games, small remote control vehicles, basketball, football (any kind of ball). Oh, and I always bring an extra girl gift and another mother brings an extra boy gift just in case someone forgets theirs. We've only had to use the extras one time.

Thanks, great post, I'm gonna email that one along.

I buy clothes for my kids and maybe my niece but I don't risk it on anyone else. If I think they're wanting clothes I'll get them a gift card so they can pick out what they want.

ZERO!!! If I can't afford to pay cash for it, I'm not getting it.
-
I'm not Catholic so we don't go to mass but Christmas does fall on a Sunday this year so we'll go to church on Christmas day this year.
-
Yea, I was wondering what deoderant had to do with the holidays. Though it does sound like something one of my grandmothers would get me for Christmas.

Adidas for Women, it's great. Lots of you like dove though. I've never tried it, I may give it a whirl next time.
-
The kids take turns opening presents. They never want to take turns any other time but on Christmas morning they're surprisingly cooperative.
-
Yes, Christmas day is also our dog's birthday so he always get something. I don't spend much at all though.
-
Thanks, I was on the site yesterday looking for this and it wasn't there. Not anything that just blows you away in there.
-
Don't worry you'll get there faster than you think. <----my custom avatar, a mom's entitled to brag a little.

I looked yesterday for one and couldn't find it either.

USPS has a line of stamps/merchandise called 50s sporty cars or something like that. They have stamps, keychains, lapel pins and other stuff with 50s cars on them. I used to work for the USPS and our carriers always liked getting baked goods (if your a well known customer), a nice pair of gloves, scarf. One even got a sweatshirt that said something like "Love Your Mailman".
