Ummmmm...............that's exactly why I DO go on BF. BF=nice things on sale, doesn't it? I know what you mean about saving $ though.Every year I say I'm going to open a Christmas Club Account. It's a thing that my bank does. You put however much you want in it throughout the yr starting Jan. 1, and on Nov. 1 they deposit it into your checking account, mail you a check, whatever. So far, I've yet to do that. I'm really going to this time though.

I have three young kids so I go for the toys and small electronics.

Sometimes the employees are not there, and on BF they may be there but everyone is extremely busy. I think it's great that they help people if they need it, I have done the same thing myself. I hope that when I'm 95 and still shopping on BF someone will help me out, whether it be an employee or just your average nice person.

JCPenny would be nice.

You may think that GC are too impersonal, but any 14 yr old girl that I know would looooooooove to get a GC to get whatever she wants as long as it's to a place she likes to shop. You could always put a smaller gift with it to make it more personal. Journal, maybe?

When I read the title to this thread I thought, "Why would anyone buy a digital camera for a 4 yr old? CRAZY!" but............now that I'm reading the posts and thinking about it more I think I might get one for my 4 yr old. I didn't realize I could get one that cheap. He is always wanting to play with mine so he would LOVE that. Novac, I don't think you're crazy anymore.

I would say if you wanted to avoid the rush..........you might want to stay in bed. Haha!! Really, our Walmart is open 24 hours so we'll be standing inside by the pallets, no rush there. JCPenny's- maybe you could find an alternate door, but then you might not get the free snowglobe. I heard that some people went in an alternate door at Sears last year and they didn't get the $10 GC and they were still handing them out to the people that were "rushing" the main entry.

I would not advise trying the first option. Things like that usually come back on you. I always get the items I want and so far I have yet to return/rebuy anything. I don't want to stand in line at cust. svc. on BF. You just have to have a good game plan when you walk out the door in the morning.

I usually end up doing family members BF shopping every year. Wonder what they would say if I decided to add say 20% to their items this year as my cut?

We don't really do a list. They always tell Santa what they want and so far we've been lucky-they haven't asked for anything to outragous yet. I try not to put a $$ amount on Christmas because I don't really want my kids thinking of Christmas in $$ terms. A $100 gift that one child wants is just as good as a $20 gift that another chid wants. We don't worry about it, we just try to get them what they want.
