  1. November 2008 issue of Real Simple magazine page 74 An article about Black Friday with a mention of the website "To preview the day's bargains, view leaked deals at ... blackfriday.gottadeal.com" Pretty cool!
  2. We usually don't see sales on the ipod, the best deals are more in the lines of buy this and get a free gift card.
  3. At opening are there still long checkout lanes or it doesn't matter what time you go to Kohls there are long check out lanes on BF? I'd hate to go at 3am and then wait in line for an hour and a half to checkout.
  4. I think it's at Sears on BF for that price.
  5. On the C & B website, they are already giving 40% off clearance prices right now, with free shipping if you purchase select items. I also found these two codes I don't know if you'll be able to stack them today or tomorrow or not. 133162 is 25% off $80 or more 132739 is free shipping on $75 purchase
  6. Ok, this sale is good online also, beginning tomorrow (Friday). Enter promo code 81050. Hopefully this will link so that you can get a coupon if you don't have one (for in store shopping): http://www.christopherandbanks.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=3351667&email=mainimage
  7. I'm not much of a youtube person, I imagine that if I subscribed to the channel I'll get email telling me when something is added? Also, my "screen name" is checkoutgottadeal :)
  8. Here's an article that just popped up, it caught me as funny because the guy is predicting the prices on hot items such as a 42" tv at walmart for $599, so I went to compare it to Brad's predictions, let's just say I'm hoping for Brad's because he's predicting $499. Just thought it was a hoot, the media is getting ready... http://shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppingarticles/144/shop-for-the-holidays-nowor-wait/ Link to the Official Black Friday Predictions: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/BlackFridayPredictions
  9. Ok, after doing a little further research these reviews are mixed. I've read recommendations about putting a better bulb in it. The pricing is not great as walmart clearanced them out some time ago at $75.

  11. Never mind, I got my answer, there site is so slow.
  12. I was finally able to get in on this. There is finally a restaurant within 15 miles of me. I got 4 $10 gc for $2.40. I figure even if I go once and hate the place then I really didn't lose much. So, I've never bought from them before - do they actually snail mail you some gift certificates?
  13. 10% off with code New1913 Kohls charge not needed for above code
  14. Finally, it worked! Here is a quick summary of some of the sale items: Seaside Port Tote Regular $84 now $25 Coastal Cosmetic Regular $28 now $10 Signature Cottons Villager Tote Regular $72 now $43.20 Small, Medium & Large Bow Cosmetic Regular $22-34 now $10-18 Hope someone else found some good deals, these kinds of items are always really popular at Christmas here.
  15. I am so frustrated, I had just 2 items in my bag, the bag finally came up but with errors on the page and there was no link to continue checkout so I had to refresh and now it won't come up at all. It's quite frustrating, if they didn't want me to buy during their sale then they shouldn't have sent me the email!

  17. I really really like this vacuum cleaner. I like going back to the bag instead of emptying the canister in the trash. I honestly think that there is less dust flying around my house. After my husband swept with the old sweeper I used the new one and put a good amount of something in the bag. I think it works really well on both my laminate and my area rugs.
  18. Brad, A little off the subject but I have to tell you nice job on your predictions for this year.
  19. Ok I went to Sears last night to check out this vacuum cleaner. They had a customer return for $139.93. It was missing the owners manual but I figured at that price I couldn't pass it up. It still comes with the full warranty plus if in 30 days I change my mind I can return it no questions asked. My husband had swept the house earlier in the day but when I brought the new cleaner home I had to give it a try. I am absolutely amazed. The intelliclean system senses dirt and when it does it boosts up it's suction power until it doesn't sense the dirt in that area anymore. I have 2 dogs and one cat. The problem with the cat hair is that it is so light weight and I have mostly laminate flooring so when I used to sweep alot of times it was like chasing down the hair. This new sweeper just sucked it up edge to edge. It goes under chairs and beds a lot further than my other one used to. As far as the handling issues I didn't find any. When the extra suction is going it's really hard to move around but I just let it suck up that area and the suction will eventually release and then I move it around. (This was on my rug) So with one day under my belt, I do recommend this vacuum cleaner.
  20. Don't start legal actions just because your ad has been released early. I can't stress enough (although I hate to admit it) that I have purchased items even though I hadn't planned on it because it was a good deal, knowing that instead of what I had thought of getting someone or myself I would get whatever item instead. Especially with the economy this year, the stores would do pretty well if they were to have a month or two of black fridays. They don't have to go crazy every week but what if like walmart did last year they had those one day specials. Online would be even better. Online would be even better for all of the sale, the stores could market it as "we know that gas prices are high that's why we are going to make our best deals available online with free shipping" blah blah blah. Otherwise I say security or store personnel should do a better job when they open the doors. I can't tell you how disappointing it is to be number whatever in a single file line and then the doors open and people coming running and get in ahead of you. Open the doors 1/2 hour early for the first 50 people in line. Give out the tickets then, not hours early which will reduce the scalping I think. All hands on deck, all registers open.
