  1. Dont know if this was mentioned yet but Target is being featured on Yahoo's front page, with GottaDeal listed as the main source of the info. According to the article Target is going to be one of the hottest stores to buy from this BF, with the $3 appliances and of course the $246 LCD TV. Congrats to Brad for getting several mentions in this ad, not to mention upping the credibility of leaked ads in general. I wonder if Brad was contacted directly, or if the writer of the article is just a GottaDeal fan. :) Notably, towards the bottom of the article a Target spokewoman said "We really appreciate all the interest" of the leaked ad. Paying close attention, Walmart? http://customsites.yahoo.com/financiallyfit/finance/article-108151-3171-0-targets-black-friday-bet-3-appliances?ywaad=ad0035 EDIT: Target Deal Featured Article on Yahoo Front Page! 2. It's very likely in this case that if you print out your cancelled transaction (with original order times displayed), a manager at your local Staples store will price adjust one for you when they get them back in stock. A good idea would be to go into the store and ask them questions like this before this year's BF. Good luck to everyone! I'll be one of the Easytechs at Staples handing out laptops on BF.
  3. Staples did not offer a television last BF so I highly doubt they will come in this year. Also, make sure that none your Rewards checks are expired, managers may not give a grace period during BF.
  4. Staples no longer offers the 110% Price Match Guarantee, they price match at 100% only. http://www.staples.com/sbd/content/help/using/general_match.html
  5. No TV's in our region, very likely no TV's nationwide. No word on desktops yet. And yes, the items may look somewhat similar to BF's of the past, but prices have dropped quite a bit on items like flash memory and LCD's. I would put most of the flash memory around $5-15 out the door. Also the 19" LCD monitor could go less than $100 (we've had $150 monitors recently, and last BF 19" was $200) Also as a sidenote we are now setting up TONS of "gifts" and holiday-themed items, little knickknacks that would make good stocking stuffers for friends and family. I have even seen bizzare items like Goo Gone and Silly Putty up near the registers
  6. GREAT NEWS!! Our GM in our area sent a list of items that will be appearing in the Black Friday ad, with instructions to hold them in the lockup area to ensure proper stock for BF. No prices, no SKU's, just the product listings. HOWEVER, THESE ITEMS ARE CONFIRMED. I bolded some the items we are commenting on in the store so you get an idea of what the associates here are predicting. Here's the list: Sandisk 2GB Ultra II CF Card Sandisk 2GB Mem Stick Pro Duo Sandisk 4GB HC Memory (I am assuming SDHC) Sandisk 4GB Micro SD Sandisk Cruzer 8GB Executive 12 Sheet Crosscut Shredder Staples 50pk DVD+R Spindle HP Everyday Photo Semi-Gloss (Possible FAR item?) Norton Int Sec 2009 1-3PC HP Officejet 5610 AIO Inkjet ($69.99 currently, below $50 on BF?) Samsung ML-2510 Laser (Regularly goes on sale for $50 after rebate, so it could go lower here!) Samsung CLP-315 Color Laser Maxtor 2.5in 250GB Onetouch 4 Mini USB HDD Tomtom One 125 GPS (Sears BF for $99, likely the same price here) Motorola H350 Bluetooth Headset Omnitech 7in Digital Frame Omnitech 8.5in Digital Frame Vtech Dect 4 Handset Cordless Set Kodak Easyshare CD93+ (Digital Camera, probably under $100) Verbatim 2.5in 320GB USB HDD Emachine 19inW E19T6W (LCD Monitor) HP Notebook (No other details, we'll find out what it is soon enough) Greeley Black Luxura Chair Greeley Pecan Luxura QS10 Greeley Grey Microfiber There was a 2nd part to the list probably pertaining to office supplies, but it wasnt available. Anyway this is huge news for us in the stores as we close in on the finish line, I'll try to get more details soon.
  7. Two more promotional items came in this week: Flip Video Camera SKU# 721420, currently priced at $150 8GB Nano & Accesories Package SKU# 758658, currently priced at $200 Includes screen proctectors, silicone skin, Y-cable audio splitter, FM Transmitter, AC charger, DC charger. This Nano looks to be the newest generation, rectangular (not square) with the larger vertical screen. The belief amongst the associates in store is that these items will part of the BF ad. No further details so far, just feeding into speculation. Hope this is helping someone out there.
  8. I know its a bit early, but since I work at Staples I thought I'd give a heads up.. It looks like we got a new Tomtom unit in this week, the Tomtom 125. From the packaging it appears IDENTICAL to the specs and description of the Tomtom 130, except in a red package instead of green. The list price looked to be around $150, and was listed as a Promo item. Considering its not listed on Tomtom's own website, my gut feeling says this is a possible BF item, and if so will probably go for around $100 on that day. Sorry if this post is way too early, but those wanting to buy a Tomtom soon should probably wait a little while longer

Thank you so much for the info. This looks like a good deal, does anyone know if this is a good quality compared to other brands?

Any have any details on the GPS in the ad? Looking for make/model and possibly screen size. It seems like a good deal and I need a GPS soon. Thanks.
