I definitely buy certain name brand groceries, like Diet Coke, more than the name brand electronics. I do like knowing that I can go back to company that has been around for awhile when it comes to major purchases though.

I usually go alone, but if there are some really awesome deals on big boy toys I might be able to talk him into going, probably not though. He doesn't have the patience to wait in line. Or the will power to get out of bed when it is still dark.

We bought our daughter this for her birthday (whichever one is already out, 1 I guess?). She loves it! We all love it, it's such a fun game!

We've had the same chia pet come back to our Christmas Eves for 20 years - it's always a wonderful surprise who gets it each year. I've never had it - knock on wood - others have sworn to grow it to see if it really works - but it's still unopened in the box. It's a great year and year after gag gift.

I'm glad that things are going to work out! I didn't realize that FedEx's policy was that nothing was insured unless they had signature confirmation. That is good to know. I think that it's a stupid idea though, geesh they expect you to pay for everything don't they?

I took the tree down last night. I still have another smaller tree up, but that's easy 'cause you just put it in a box. I still have other xmas decorations up that I'll slowly work on. I don't think that I could wait until the 6th to start taking my tree down. It's been up since Thanksgiving- I think that's long enough.

I certainly miss those days! I wouldn't buy a 5 yo their own computer either. We just put a second one in our house of 4. It's worked out all right. I'm sure your son will forget all about not getting a computer once he finds unwraps his other presents. I never got my pony I wanted and I turned out all right....I think. Many many years ago my parents sent my uncle on a scavenger hunt for his present. But we live in Ohio with snow and cold weather so the hunt was inside only. It might be fun to get some neighbors involved. Maybe start the hunt tomorrow and finish with the last clue in Sunday's newspaper or a wrapped gift?

So far I've got the Tetris game for my computer. A nice pair of gold hoop earrings from my Dad. And a $100 Walmart gift card from my boss.

They've been wrapped all at the same time. I don't really designate which ones are from Santa and which ones are from Mom and Dad. I used to do different paper but now they are getting older. So for one more year I'm gonna try that they are all from Santa!
