I thought that too but I have a copy of my email in which I specifically asked if I could price match on Black Friday - the day after Thanksgiving. That was my specific question and as quoted above was their response...so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ok I have received a confirmation email from circuit city about their pricematching policy. There are a few things that I wanted on Black Friday but I'm not going to be able to be there first so I plan on purchasing the items on their website at regular price for pick up on Black Friday. My email read "For example: order online early next week, pick the item up on the day after Thanksgiving." Their email reads, "Even after your Circuit City purchase, if you see a lower advertised price (including our own sale prices) within 30 days, we'll refund 110% of the difference. Our guarantee applies only to advertised prices. It does not apply to special offers or promotions, including rebates, free-with purchase offers, and special financing. Websites other than www.circuitcity.com also do not qualify for our Price Match Plus Guarantee." I have printed the email, both the specific questions than I asked and there answer so I should be able to get the two items I want for less than BF price with the extra 10%. (The 32" stereo TV and the cheap camcorder)

I told the ladies at my bank today about gottadeal.com and they wrote it down. As I was walking out I was stopped by another lady asking me about it, so she has the website address now. Our cleaning lady at work told her husband about it and now my boss wants me to keep my eye out for a new 20" Dell widescreen....so, I'll be sticking around all year.

We usually get a $100 gc to Walmart as a present and then the managers get a bonus. Mine are usually $500 - this year I hope it's a little more since I got a promotion. I've seen her give away $5000 before.

I have found that the discount for Bose at Sam's is pretty nice though. I'm shopping for Bose computer speakers. Sam's has them for around $50, every where else that I've looked is $100. I'm going tonight..I'll let you know if I run into any theatre systems.

I just got word from Sam's Club that the price has dropped. They are now only $55.

My son's birthday is 3 days before Christmas. Poor Guy! I try very hard to have the same number of gifts to open on Christmas morning. If I have to sometimes I wrap two things together like clothes or stuff like that. I'm with some of the others - I try to buy one or two "big" gifts and then fill in with other things. This year is definitely harder as my daughter's list includes an inground pool (- yeah right) a laptop (- no way ) and a video camera. My sons list also includes a laptop. So we are definitely going for an equal number of presents rather than dollar.

The 24th is Thanksgiving Day.

Absolutely - any excuse to shop and find deals.

All of my family thinks that I'm nuts. My stepmother has to work so I've promised to bring her a snack - poor thing. No kids, no work and a whole day of shopping - what else is there?

My 9 year old daughter wants a video now, a video camera, i-dog, alarm clock for her room, clothes, laptop -(yeah like that's gonna happen). I thought that this might give you a good idea. Atleast most of them would keep you out of the emergency room.

I found one at Sam's Club for $67. I have to pick it up but then that means no shipping. I think that they are ordering it in from another store because I haven't gotten the email saying that my order is ready yet.

I've started things around the house. There are a few other people in town who have started also. I hope to have it all done before Thanksgiving - so that I too can relax.

We have a new WalMart coming to our town, it is supposed to open in January. There is a mom and pop shop downtown that sells hardware and such and they have already talked about how they believe that they will have to close up once WalMart opens.

I like them both, so I have to switch what I put on the tree every year..although maybe I should just put up another tree.

I don't mind Happy Holidays - I feel as if it wishes every one a "good day". But I certainly wouldn't be offended if someone wished me "Happy Hannukkah" or "Happy Kwanzaa", I can't imagine that anyone would be offended to hear "Merry Christmas"

I live in Piqua. I listen to Paul Harvey during my lunch hour and Bill Cunningham comes on after that. I heard that the Catholic League sent a request to WalMart asking them about the customer's inquiry of Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas and the customer service manager's response talking about how Christmas was a pagan holiday and the colors came from a mushroom and on and on. So the Catholic League was all upset and asked for several things which included an apology and for the website to be fair. Well I haven't heard if they exactly got an apology but the customer service manager was fired and I'm not sure if they've fixed the website or not. Saturday 11/12/05: I have heard that the website has been resolved. An apology was issued, the Catholic League has cancelled their boycott.
