Thanks much--I like the little bikes :-) Maybe I'll have to step foot in the store--I haven't been in there in MONTHS

In my city (Glendale,AZ) camping in front of Walmart isn't really needed...

Mine either. I live outside of a small sized town and they always have plenty of stuff. They just built a new supercenter in Hendersonville and it opened last month, so mine will be even less busy in Gallatin -
Toys R Us has them all- You can look at them and compare the different styles. you can get started by looking at the tables on ToysRUs.com and comparing the prices. I personally LOVE the Step 2 and Little tikes stuff. My kids had the Little Tikes picnic table and the Step 2 table and chairs when they were little. The picnic table is still nice, although after 15 years with the last 10 being outside, it's a little faded. It's at my mother in laws and my bil's 5 kids use it a LOT (well, 3 of them, the other 2 are 13 and 11) and my table and chairs is at my sister's where my 2 year old niece uses it every day to eat and color and play. It still looks exactly the same!!

They have APO/FPO addresses so it's still normal US shipping rates--this is a great idea--Hey debbie, which is your husband's unit??

I'm a mother of a 16 yo and it hasn't happenned yet--you really are a sweetie Mark!! I would be proud to have you as my son. I started doing the gifts/presents for everyone else when I was about 14-15. I had jobs and money and I like to give.

You can always buy rechargeable batteries and use them anyway. That's what I do with my stuff around here. We have about 20 rechargeable AA batteries that we keep handy for the cameras and mice and keyboards and the like.

I like getting everything all at once and that's the best time to do it :-)

Wow, a trombone for a 5 year old!! It would be almost twice as tall as he is--That would be so cute to watch!! The Japanese have bands for preschool children. They march and really are terrific--I think 5 is a good age for starting. They have DVD's of their 3 and 4year olds marching, and doing extremely complicated routines;

I like the ones without the white stuff, and hate the ones with the white stuff, but my MIL sends me a box of the white stuff ones every year. None of us eat them. They are too sweet. I still have a box from last year that she sent us. YUCK!! My dog likes them though. We found out that when she got into a box.

What kind is it--is it open or closed hole? How much would you want for it?

Sniping is when someone comes along in the last few minutes of an auction and outbids you I hate it and someone did it to me again today on a flute.

We have both Belk and Proffitts here in TN :) -
I didn't get to shop today :-( the kids had the div 2 state finals in marching band. Our band placed 11th (by one tenth of a point) and so they didn't get to march in the finals. This meant for a slightly shorter day. We were supposed to be home at 11, but were home by 7 :-( I would rather have made the finals and been home later!!

The kind that use like electromagnets or something like that or the kind that are chemical lights? The cheapest place I've found the Chemlight kind is Deals. They have a 2 pack for a $1. http://www.technomoves.com/shaker_led_flashlight.html 2 for $8.99 but only as a preorder. They say they will have them in in mid november.

Good, it's a different racing set than last years!! They make a nice "I know it's a game, but what game is it present" LOL

This year my daughter is the easiest and my son the hardest. He'd be easier if I actually wanted to buy anything on his list--which goes something like this Car Money Car Refrigerator Car Video games Car That's the sort of list he has--no fun in there for me at all--and he's not getting a car or a refrigerator!!

I have 3 of them--ok, actually my son, husband and daughter each have one :) My son and husband love them. They take them everywhere. My daughter takes hers on band trips and stuff like that, but not everywhere like my son does. We have a lot of games for them and the movies look good too. A plus is that you can save music/mp3's to the memory stick and carry everything all in one.

Both of my kids' schools have toy drives, but they each do it differently. At my daughter's school, each class adopts a child and then we are given the specifics for that child, such as age, sizes, and gender. At my son's school, they just collect toys and then give the toys to Toys For Tots. I think it's more fun to do it at my daughter's school :-) We also adopt angels off the Salvation Army angel tree in the approximate ages of my kids. They pick the stuff (at this age, usually clothes) to give them and then we wrap them up and take them back.

We open one present Christmas Eve--then when the kids were smaller, my daughter would wake us up around 4am or so to tell us that Santa had come. She had already woken up my son, checked out what Santa brought and started on the stockings, she just needed us up to open the wrapped presents LOL Now, they sleep and I make LOTS and LOTS of noise to try to get them up earlier so that they can open presents!! Last year, it was 8 am or so before they woke up. I got up at 6 or so. It's so not fair!! They are 13 (14 in January) and 16.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Comp. DVDset $8.06 shipped pre-order

The charge cleared my bank today--that's always a good sign!! -
I use my walk in closet in the bedroom and if the presents are too big for that, then they go in my bedroom and I lock the door. When the kids are gone, then I'll have a gift room :-) Until then, we need the space.

2 years ago, someone accidentally tried to take my cart instead of theirs but it wasn't intentional. We just both happened to have the same game on top :-) It was funny.

I would love a new set of flatware. I want a nice heavy set. Maybe after christmas ( if the kids clean their rooms) I'll find my forks again and won't need new flatware!!

I have the creative 30 GB player and it works well for my 16 yo. So well, that I think i'm going to get another one for my 13 yo because her little 128 Mb one just doesn't hold enough music.
