I have a friend who is interested in possibly getting a media center computer. Anybody have any leads on an inexpensive unit that is already set up? If not, I suppose that I can build one from old parts that I have around.

I got mine and love it. We got a couple more for gifts too. They drive the dog insane with jealosy!

A laser printer will definately give you a higher quality print, but only in black and white. Samsung printers are good. I would rate them fairly highly on my list of lasers.

Yes, it is true that animated icon uploads are not permitted. Those that have them already most likely are using one from the GD avatar library. Also, in order to upload, your picture must meet certain requirements. From the Control Panel: If it does not meet those specifications, you can not upload it.

Unfortunately, externally hosted pictures can really slow the site down. Load times become bogged down by the speed of other sites. That is one of the main reasons that images are limited to the smilies hosted here at GD.

I've had problems with their +-RW media, but never the +-R media. It may be the burner used as well. They definately are a "value" media though. I wouldn't put your most important documents on them.

No, they don't, but it wouldn't matter if they did. Any person can have a business... whether or not it is active, or making money is a different story. I don't know if I would use the "Inc." though... just joonshin.

This device would be like a standard television. No, it would not work with a HDTV signal only without some sort of converter. For what it is, I would still say that is a very good price.

My wife and I went to Sea World this past year using this deal. It was a lot of fun.

Was it a new account? The discount was for everyone over the holidays, but is limited to new accounts now. It definately wasn't a scam as I saved a TON of money using it this year.
