  1. If you have it, I'd love a PDF of this and the Target toy book, if you don't mind. Thanks!
  2. You may not like my answer but the only laptop that's really any good for gaming is the Alienware 15 on sale for $1199.99. I say this because while most of the laptops have semi-decent CPUs they don't have any sort of dedicated Nvidia/AMD GPU in them. Oh and for the ones that do they really aren't that great. That Alienware though features about as good of a CPU as you can get on a laptop as well a good mobile Nvidia GPU. It also has a nice 1080p HD display and 8GB of RAM (Although I wish it were 16GB) which should suffice for any game you'd play. Basically, when looking at laptops if it doesn't say it comes with an Nvidia/AMD GPU then it definitely won't play most games. Although, even if it does come with a dedicated GPU it may still not play most games. All I can say is that with Nvidia you want to be on the lookout for GPUs like the 970M like that Alienware has.
  3. So I just discovered this ad and I cannot believe the deal available on page 5 of the ad. An NES controller, YES, let that sink in... an NES controller for $5.99. I know it isn't an official Nintendo controller but still!
  4. Good or bad, Black Friday always makes the news every year. I figured with this year's Black Friday all but over we're due for this annual thread. I will start off with a video from, none other than, Wal-Mart, That was bad so I'll round it out with a little good. While camped out at Best Buy, shortly before opening, my local Fox station came out and interviewed me and my one cousin. http://fox43.com/2014/11/27/black-friday-shopping-in-full-swing-on-thanksgiving/ With all this in mind, anyone have any other videos they'd like to share or that they've found.
  5. If I were a betting man I would say that the sale will go live at exactly 1:17AM EST or 12:17AM CST. I say this because that is exactly when their deal of the day and entire website is updated every day. Now some prices may not be instantly evident when you look at them but the proper price will appear in your cart. This should really only be an issue for the first 20 minutes or so, if it is even an issue at all. Happy shopping everyone!
  6. I would say that 40" HDTV for $119 is a good price IF WalMart was going to beating that deal by $4 ($115) this morning at 8am! The iPad Air 2 16GB Wi-Fi for $499.99 WITH a free $140 Target Gift Card is a fantastic deal made even sweeter if you have a RedCard and can save an extra 5%. I know Best Buy gives you $100 off the iPad Air 2 instantly but the free $140 GC is great than the $100 you save. Plus you can't give 5% savings with your RedCard at Best Buy. If you are looking for an Xbox 360 with Kinect then Target's bundle for $179 is a great price. Over the past year I've really growing into modern day TableTop gaming. Up until about a year ago I was only ever really familiar with the played out staples of Monopoly, Sorry, Life, etc. I had a friend introduce me to some modern euro style table top games and I happily snatched those games up on my iPad but it wasn't until a discovered a web series centered around Table Top gaming that I started my own collection. Now I make it a point to keep my eye for deals on TableTop games. As such I notice that Target will have Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride for $32 each. These are two fantastic games and two of the best (what I like to call) gateway games. Sure Monopoly can be fun on occasion but these games quickly show you there is a whole world of much better games out there. I can tell you, given that I'm very interested in making Settlers of Catan the next addition to my collection, that at $32 it is a good price as it consistently hovers right around $38. I know that may not seem like a huge savings but for something that almost never goes on sale it is. Target has a bunch of great movie deals. Gravity 2D Blu-ray combo pack for $4!!! If you don't own this movie well you better then when it goes on sale! In what is CLEARLY an error the Lego Movie 3D Blu-ray combo pack for $9 is the best Blu-ray deal I've seen across all the ads. Good luck on scoring this deal though. Most Targets are out of the 3D version and the ad calls it a Target exclusive which the 3D version they show is NOT the Target exclusive version. There in lies the problem though. WalMart WILL price match Target's ad on Black Friday, yes, but because Target labelled this 3D version as a Target exclusive (even though it isn't one) that is reason enough for WalMart NOT to price match it. If anyone can score this deal though, good for them! Also, "Live, Die, Repeat," "Silver Linings Playbook," and "The Wolf of Wall Street" all Blu-ray combo packs for $6 are good deals. Oh and probably the biggest deal of ALL across ALL ads is the fact that Target is GIVING away FREE, and yes I said FREE, money! More accurately the fact that from 6am until noon ON Black Friday you can save 10% on all Target gift cards is HUGE!
  7. As already mentioned the Panasonic 50" HDTV for $199.99 is a great deal. There is other good deals on TVs too. Best Buy comes through with some good deals on games at various price points. Some of the $7.99 priced games are especially nice. Best Buy absolutely shines on some of their movie deals. First of all, The LEGO Movie 2D Blu-ray Combo pack for $3.99!!! That's just crazy and honestly if you have anybody who is into LEGO then this is an insta-buy without question! Also good is the Titanic 4 disc 2D Blu-ray combo pack for $3.99. Transformers: Age of Extinction for $5.99 and Divergent for $7.99 are both good. How To Train Your Dragon 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men Days of Future Past, Despicable Me 2 all 3D blu-ray combo packs all for $19.99 are real good deals. 16GB iPod Touches for $149.99 are a great way to get your kids or even yourself into the Apple Ecosystem without paying a lot for a phone or getting a big tablet you may not want. Best Buy has the Logitech G502 Proteus Core Optical Gaming Mouse and normally paying full price for anything would be a no-go but this time around you get a $50 Steam card for free. I can tell you that I am a PC gamer, I have this mouse and I LOVE it. It is by far one of the best mice I've ever owned. If you play any sort of PC games except for MMOs I would not hesitate to get this mouse. Per the usual Best Buy has flash drives and memory cards on sale at always good prices. This year they have 32GB USB 2.0 flash drives for $7.99 but honestly I'd spend the extra $4 and get a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive instead, assuming you have USB 3.0 ports on your desktop/laptop. I mean the huge increase in file transfer speeds will blow you away. Makes for a very nice way to share files at a LAN party when wired network only caps out at 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps. Honestly there are great deals every where it just depends what you're after.
  8. The Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle for $329 with a $30 GC is a good deal because most everyone else is giving you either the console by itself or the assassin's creed bundle. WalMart is giving you Halo though and although this may sound like a broken record to some people but Halo is clearly one of Xbox's few good exclusive. For the few people that don't yet have one the Xbox 360e 4GB console for $99 is a fantastic price. True it doesn't include the Kinect or any games but between WalMart AND Best Buy you should have no trouble finding deals on games! Of all the movie deals I'd say Frozen and Planes: Fire & Rescue for $9.96 each are great deals mostly because they are Disney movies and those hardly ever go on sale outside of release week. If you've got kids, the LEGO Creative Tower for $30 is great when you realize that tower comes with 1600 bricks. Would even make a great gift for Toys For Tots.
  9. UPDATE: This appears to be online AND in stores. In fact here is the ad, http://www.walmart.com/store/1529/weekly-ads Sorry I know it is specific to a particular store, I couldn't do a generic location. Also I would like the pdf but every time I opt for it it only produces 5 pages and not the full ad. Anyways, I definitely see some great deals in this ad. I LOVE how they are so CLEARLY beating Target's Black Friday TV deal by $4! The deals on the iPads seem nice too. My church does the Operation Christmas Child by Samaritan's Purse and those 4-pack playdohs for $1 would be perfect for the shoeboxes.

    1hr Guarantee

If that is true then that should definitely work. I only ask because I'll be camped out at Best Buy which opens at 5 and I was just figuring if I needed to get to WalMart right after that for one of the 1 hour guaranteed items what the timing was and whether or not then I could pull it off. Also, I know a bunch of folks on here said to be cautious as last year their items didn't arrive until after Christmas which I don't doubt but I do know that WalMart has on their website this year that your item is guaranteed in time for Christmas, http://www.walmart.com/cp/1105633

    1hr Guarantee

Anyone know the exact timing on this one hour guarantee? I mean say your store has a line out the door, do you have to be in that line by 7pm and you're good or if there is a special line inside the store do you have to be in that line by 7pm? Say it is neither because they give you a ticket and you have to have that ticket by 7pm or going all the way would it be that you need to have gotten and paid for a ticket by 7pm?
  12. Ok, the parameters of this shopping spree are not 100% clear in that is the $1000 in addition to what we would already been spending or is it instead of what we would be spending. Maybe I am overthinking this but for my shopping spree I'll assume it is in addition to what I am already intentioned on spending. So with that in mind here is what I would get. Apple iPad Air 2 128GB Space Gray/Black - $599.99 @ Best Buy Dell E2414Hr 24" LED Monitor - $99.99 @ Best Buy (This is in addition to the two I'm already planning on getting) Apple iPod Touch 64GB Space Gray/Black - $249.99* (The price is hidden until the 20th but if I had to guess I'd say they'll knock $50 off, if not then just subtract what you must from the remaining items to keep me under $1000) The Lego Movie: Everything Is Awesome Edition with 3D version included - $9 @ Target The Amazing Spider-man 2 3D Blu-ray combo pack - $19.99 @ Best Buy Despicable Me 2 3D Blu-ray combo pack - $19.99 @ Best Buy Total - $998.95
  13. Thank you much for the ad. They have some of the same deals as Best Buy which is good because just as I did last year once again I can use Office Max as a nice back up plan,
  14. The re-open at 8am until they close (between 10pm and midnight would be my guess).
  15. Hey Brad, I just noticed that page 10 of the PDF is missing a row of deals at the bottom that is found on the same page 10 on the BB website. Just thought you should know should you want to update everything on here.
  16. I am definitely liking this ad. There is some great deals on movies, that Panasonic 50" HDTV is insane at that price and some of what I personally want is on sale too. Not sure if I'll be camped out at BB again this year or not though.
  17. I has been a while since I've been inside a Kohl's so I'm surprised to see game consoles listed in their ad but on that note. They got a real nice price on the Xbox One, made even nicer by the Kohl's cash offer; $15 for every $50 you spend. So the Xbox One at $329 would get you $90 in Kohl's cash. Just think what you could do then. I assume if they're selling the consoles they should also have games and accessories as well. That Kohl's cash could really help with getting a second controller or play & charge kits or even a game or two. If they don't carry any of the games or accessories then you could just get whatever.
  18. Thanks for the ads. Any chance we could get pdfs of the Thanksgiving day and Saturday sales?
  19. 1. Best Buy 2. Thanksgiving Day (based on the available ads so far) 3. WalMart will open at 5pm on Thanksgiving day instead of the 6pm they did last year and this will only be to get a jump on the competition.
  20. Thank you for the ad and for your hard work! Finally we get one of the major ads leaked. I just wish certain other sites who's name I will not mention didn't plaster their watermark all over these ads.
  21. For the past couple of years Walmart has always done something to let the world know that the Black Friday season is near. Now I want to clarify that Walmart may have already done this something and Brad has just chosen to not report about it but I'd find that highly unlikely. That something I am referring to is the annual legal notice that Walmart sends to everyone asking them not to release their ad early. It is only 8 days until November which Walmart typically has sent their annual letter out by now. So either Walmart forgot or they stopped caring. If it is the former then as the topic title says, they dropped the ball, but if it is the latter then I wonder how soon we will see the ad,
  22. I agree with you. I'm all for the right to shop online but nothing beats camping out for those deals. Besides when I camp out and the BB employee comes down the line to hand me my ticket I know then and there that I'm getting what I want and once I pay for it then I KNOW I have what I want. Online shopping has gotten better for sure but until the item you want arrives at your door you don't actually have it. I mean servers could glitch out and you don't actually get the deals you want or your package could get lost during delivery. Also your delivery could even come damaged. I know these are all unlikely scenarios but still nothing beats, after camping out for hours if not days on end, walking out of the store with everything you want. It is especially satisfying when you walk out of the store with a small mountain of goodies allowing everyone who hasn't even gotten inside the doors yet to see your haul and the deals they missed out on. Anyways, for me I scope out the ads online ahead of time. Then I figure out who, if anyone, wants what and where it is at. Typically, I don't just camp out for myself I camp out for friends and family who would never dare to camp out for more than a couple hours. I help them get what they want and in return make a little spending cash to get what I want. It is a nice win-win for everyone. I like camping out at Best Buy but I will go where ever the best deals are or to ensure that I can most people most of what they want.
  23. While I've gone to the extreme like some veterans here have I've done 24 hours at Best Buy during previous Black Fridays. I can say having done that I agree with all the comments here. If you plan to camp out for longer than 24 hours you better start doing some serious planning. I know that unless you're in Florida, California or one of the other warm states you'll definitely need to plan for the elements. I can even personally testify to that one. Last year I had a change of clothes (including extra socks) with me just in case anything might happened. Well late into the night (or would it be early in the morning) I had been in the cold for a long while as was and my hands and feet were definitely starting to get really cold. So I threw on that extra pair of socks and that helped me make it through the rest of the wait.
  24. The big three, Walmart, Target and Best Buy, plus, Staples and Office Max/Depot for me.
  25. My apologies for not reminding everyone to watch it live last night but here, http://cart.mn/TittiesDragons, is what I hope to be the exciting conclusion to the most recent episode of South Park. I haven't seen it yet, myself, but I wanted to share it with everyone while I was thinking about it. Enjoy!
