  1. Thank you for this one. Finally an ad from one of the major stores. Maybe the rest will follow suit in short order!
  2. For the first time in 4 years, not since 2012, there will be 4 Fridays between Black Friday and Christmas. This means retailers will have 4 Fridays plus 3 and partial (because the 4th is Christmas Eve) Saturdays to try and sell stuff to consumers. Looking back to 2012 and comparing it to 2013 I couldn't discern anything meaningful to suggest that retailers having an extra weekend of sales thereby impacted the kinds of deals we got on Black Friday. So question is will it make a difference this year? Will retailers having some of an extra weekend this year impact the deals we get on Black Friday?
  3. Would it be too soon if I was to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 would be the "hot" gift this year? Yes I know the phone has been recalled and discontinued. Anyways I would probably say that the Wii U, Xbox One S and PS4 Pro will be the hot gifts this year. Although don't expect any deals on the PS4 Pro and with the Xbox One S you might at best get a bundle deal but probably nothing off on the console itself.
  4. Anyone know if the fire tabs for $34.99 will be a ticketed doorbuster item?
  5. No they're not! If you're looking at the ad on BB's website they are on page 19.
  6. Ok so all those new pages that Best Buy wanted redacted well with the daily update to their website (1:17am EST) they un-redacted them! So all those new pages are now official and legit!
  7. It isn't a big deal but I thought I'd point out that the "ad scans" and the PDF for Best Buy are both omitting the $4.99 movie deals found on page 10 of the ad on BB's website.
  8. That's what I was thinking. $20 for Inside Out. I could get it for that much during release week. On BF I can get it elsewhere for $9.xx
  9. Thanks for your hard work. Can't wait for the PDF for backup purposes. Also, I doubt it would be necessary but I noticed as I'm viewing the ad through the app (as they tell you to do on their website) that you can zoom in on the pages so you can get a super clear view of the games and movies so you don't have to squint and try to guess what each title is.

  11. I will field this one. That Toshiba TV for $149.99 is an in-store only deal. So if you don't mind lining up anywhere from 8 to 12 hours prior to the store opening, possibly even much longer than that depending where you live then no getting that TV wouldn't be hard. About 2 hours before the store would open BB employees would come out and give out tickets for that TV and other deals. You simply take that ticket go towards the right check out line in the store, pay for your TV and enjoy your day. They may have drive around back to pick up the TV but that's not hard.
  12. Just be careful with those iPods because those don't go on sale until the store re-opens at 8AM on Black Friday.
  13. YES! Finally! I know the ad is officially on their website but thanks for doing the PDF! Everyone would be wise to view this ad on Best Buy's website where you can get the complete list of movies at each price point that will be on sale because I have found some stellar deals. For example, Band of Brothers and the Pacific for $9.99 each on Blu-ray + digital HD pack.
  14. I don't "camp" out but I do line up usually about 24 hours prior to the store opening. I bring a chair, blankets, bottled drinks, a snack (usually trail mix or similar), warm clothes (gloves, etc.), my iPod full of music to last me through the night, extra clothes (in case something happens), my iPad loaded with all the ads and my shopping list, and, obviously, money/cards to pay for everything. EDIT - Might bring a game or two, but with the cold weather of the northeast, the winds, and wearing gloves it can be hard to enjoy a game.
  15. It is hard to say, honestly. Every store is different. Depending where you live some stores are packed to the brim with people trying to buy stuff and others are not. Most people in line would probably be after the 55" TV or something else (like game consoles or Apple products). So they might not be after that 50" TV although if the 55" TV runs (and it will) they might opt for the 50" instead. Best I could say is just take the chance, go there when you can and if they have it, great, otherwise sorry you missed out.
  16. That 55" TV is the kind of deal you have to line up for in order to get. If you're showing up to the store after it has already opened then sorry to say it but you won't be getting one.
  17. Thanks Brad for sharing the ad and PDF! Looking through the ad I do see some great deals. I even see deals that I am personally interested in getting. For example, I'm glad Target is matching Meijer on the price of that Wii U bundle! Target will have the movie, Interstellar, on Blu-ray combo pack, for $4. That is probably one of the EASIEST stocking stuffers you could pick up! Same goes for the Lego Movie and American Sniper, on Blu-ray combo pack, for $6!
  18. You are reading that correctly, but I want to point out a couple of things. For that price you are getting an original Xbox 360 as in the ones that are susceptible to the Red Ring of Death. Not saying the one you get would suffer that fate but still something to consider. Also I don't know what kind of Xbox 360 you have now but the one shown in the ad doesn't include any sort of hard drive with it. This means you'd either need to add a hard drive to it or you will be extremely limited in what you can do on the console. Oh and these are pre-owned consoles not refurbished ones, so that is also something to keep in mind.
  19. LOL! I'm a little disappointed the Wii U didn't get ANY love in this ad. If no one beats me to the punch maybe I'll start the thread later on,
  20. If you click the link to the scans you'd see that it is 64 pages long,
  21. Thanks for the ad, but I was expecting the Wii U to get more love than it did. While that new bundle (with Smash Bros. and Splatoon) is nice, Meijer has a better price on it in their ad. Plus they seem to only show the most popular titles that have been released within the last year. Never mind the fact they aren't even on sale. If you haven't noticed I'm some what interested in getting a Wii U but when another store is offering better deals I have to pass on GameStop. Unfortunately, since Meijer isn't anywhere close to me I'm hoping Walmart, Target or Best Buy comes through with a good deal! On another note, if you are a huge PS4 or Xbox One fan then GameStop's got you covered!
  22. This year will be my tenth year seriously doing Black Friday shopping. For 7 of these last 9 years I've gone to Best Buy and usually I camp out there alone. I have no trouble being friendly to those around me in line so for me camping out is never a dull experience. Of course, last year, I had to bring a buddy along because I was getting more stuff than one person could possibly get themselves, as in more than one of a ticketed item.
  23. Well, unless someone leaks you a copy of the physical ad sooner, we at least know now that their BF ad will be out November 16th.
