I did VERY well indeed...and THANK YOU VERY MUCH GOTTADEALS!!! I ordered 4 craig 256/mp3 players Thanksgiving night for my girls at $29.99 from TRU..GREAT DEAL! I noticed it gone by teh next day..so I am sooo glad I check back here often!! This morning we were at Wal-Mart at 2:30 a.m. I had one of my girls stationed at carebears..got 6 (Some are for toysfortots) 3 newborn cabbagepatches (1fortoysfortots) and 2 gameboy advances and my LAPTOP! Not to mention some unexpected like the pj's and a blender....great deals and I was lucky enough with 3 of my girls to get everything on my list at Walmart today! Thursday I got the 4 available gameboy advance games at Kmart for $7.99 and the Eso Es Maya doll for $18.99 for my 7 yr old! (of course if the employees at Kmart would kindly KNOW what is for sale..that would have saved me a good 45 minutes!)..... OVERALL....I got EVERYTHNG I wanted and more..we even had time after all that to head to the mall and get the JCPenney globe and a couple deals there (sweaters). THANKS Again Gottadeals..you helped alot with shopping this year!!!!

I have to say, I almost became very rude with a walmart employee when we first arrived. My girls and I were walking around the store trying to locate where to stand for laptops..when I TOUCHED..touched mind you the black cover on a pallet...a very....uh..not so nice employee....(I am almost 100% positive she works nights in the back since I used to work at Walmart) yelled at me from the next isle. PLEASE DO NOT TEAR THE PLASTIC OFF! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GET THAT OUT! I touched the dang thing...I told her ...oh so sweetly...hun I only intended to see what the item was..I wasnt going to take anything. BUT WOW..I wanted to ...say something very, very differently in a very different way!!!..lol. I guess bringing my kids along helped me tone down...lol

They may set some aside at some stores..I wondered about that...but I don' tthink they did at the one I was at....because 2 walmart employees were in line with me! Thank GOODNESS!!! It was one of them who noticed people mingling close to the front that were NOT in line who told one of their buddies working to make the tickets..all I can say is I am so glad I was there at 2: 30a.m I was like...the second person I saw in the whole store....BUT no one could tell us where to go for the laptop...so by the time we found out..I ended up 12th in line! Lucky for me our store had between 25-30 so it was all good. As for leaving because there are more people ahead of you...you maybe should have stuck it out.....3 people who waited for hours BROUGHT THERES BACK to the cashier and told them they changed their mind....maybe they read the specs and didnt like..no idea...but that was 3 more available after all tickets were given out.

I called both Wal_marts ahead of time and was told they had between 25-30 each..which seemed about right when they finally brought them out at 4 a.m. I got there at 2:30 a.m. and along with about half a dozen people started asking the electronics dept where to go for laptops..no one knew until about 3:45a.m. when we were directed to the bullpen(cig isle) and they gave tickets.....it went very smoothly....a couple people tried to get the walmart employees to hand over a ticket (gameboys were same place..same ticket system) and good for the walmart employees..they told them NO..if i dont see you in line..you will have to go to the back. It did work very well, the only issue I had was there was a misunderstanding with layaway..and the cashier told a couple people they couldnt lay them away...by the time I had JUST paid for soemthing that expensive I wanted to layaway..they told her we COULD lay them away....grrr....but with 3 kids with me..we got plenty of carebears/ cabbage patch dolls, 2 gameboys and a laptop...so I left a happy camper anyway! Not to mention I was back in my warm house by 6 a.m! Not to bad!!!

I didn't vote above because you didn't include Kmart....Thursday was terrible at Kmart....I went after the gameboy advance games for 7.99 (got em at least) and the sales lady and four other workers stood around talking trying to decide how to handle the people...for TEN MINUTES! Then...they let one person pay at a time.....and as that person paid..the next jumped up..instead of them going across the counter to get the people there first....thank G I was there early enough that I didnt have to wait mor than 5-6 times for this to happen. For some G aweful reason they thought having 3 workers watch...one check out..and one open boxes was a good system...NOT! Then they didnt have 3 things priced right..and I had to stand in line at service desk for refund for 22 minutes (first person at service desk mind you) as the lady there had decide whether the EXACT same thing I had..that looked IDENTICAL to the pic was the sale item..and waited for the toy lady to bring one that was...which....*gasp* WAS the same thing..but they were so flustered they made me take the one she had and agive that oen back..and they were identical.....lol....WAS a very funny, sad sad fact of how unprepared soem stores are. Wal_mart was EXCELLENT! They handed us tickets for laptops according to line...and everything was much smooter and fast..I was home with everything I wanted by 6 a.m.

I agree the choices of 3.44 movies is not worth even walking to that section of the store! And as for ordering online...I agree.....it would cost almost double the price!

As much as I want a good sale..and a few things on my list will be on everyone else's too...I would never even think of taking it from them....how sad.....can you imagine the example for any kids who see that touching scene. Thank God I know there is NOTHING out there....cheap or not that would turn me into someone CHEAP!....Good grief

With 4 wal-marts within a 35 minute radius of my house....I am hoping strategically placing dh at one and me at another....with hopes of making it to a third or 4th if no luck on a laptop or gameboy advance will work! I can live without the laptop..but would love to save half on those gameboy advances

wow..my little ole country town must be way different..lol. I have never tipped any of the above for the holidays...I knew alot of people did...but frankly, I couldn't afford to if I wanted..not that many people. If I did it would be our mail carrier who goes out of his way for us (he is new).

SInce Ryan's is in the same complex as Wal_mart..probably..but the Sam's has a great chinese buffet....so hmm.....the big breakfast sounds great at Ryans though....but probably wont eat til lunch anyway

If you have a Magic mart near you...(regional to tri state area of Va, WW area I think) I know they had them NORMAL price around 10 bucks.

Wow...thats to bad.....it's a great place for bargains..maybe they will release it early enough in the local paper.

Cash probably....but I may use debit on kids gifts.......at Kmart and a few others if you use your debit and lose your receipt.......they can look it up thru your debit card and you will get the original amount if it is on sale when you make a return.

Just wondering...I know it isnt all over the nation..but it is over a large portion of the east coast......and it's alot like Value City..

Usually I hit layaway in August with all my purchases at Wal-Mart that I can possibly buy...(which has worked great with little ones..but now that they are teens it is much harder) I usually have enough for what they want..this year has been the hardest in over a decade.(age again). Getting my dh to open a Christmas CLub has bene like giving him a root canal..for some reason he resist to the end!

I'd hit somewhere like staples and go straight to the laptops..grab as many as I could along with a desktop or two..some printercombos...and all the software I could stash on top!...OH yeah..and a few IPods and such.

I think this is the first year in over a decade I have been able to persuade my hubby he needs to go with me on BF..lol...mainly because of the laptop and gameboy....because personally...I really would rather he stayed home..lol. BUT....he is going..lol..he is a 275 pound big ole' football looking dude that I need to help me get the needed goods..lol

Well, can't say I have ever gotten sick going round and round. Mainly because we have one person (eitehr hubby or daughter) on one side..and me on the other..and we hand the lights and garland over.....sorta a two man job....works very well indeed....and..we also decorate the WHOLE tree...not just one side.....how about you folks?....I find it odd to decorate one side only...lol...(sorry)

Wow..those of you who are able to get a live tree for around $25.00...kudos to you. I live in a small city and they normally run $45-$55. Which is why I invested in a nice fake 2 years ago. I am from a small town where we could go cut our own down for around $10-$15......we heard about a tree farm here..and come to find out..sure you can get one for $10.00...but seems all the 'good trees' are spoken for months and months in advance and those smaller pines that cant hold much of anythign are all that is left!

Whew.....with much persuasion and thought...my daughter has now decided if I can get her a gameboyadv for 48 at Wal-Mart..that will be ok..lol......yeesssssss..lol. Afterall..can't argue with all 5 having a gameboyadv and a dozen games each they can share and enjoy alot of different games! Whereas PSP..would have been one or two games every few months...gets old she said..lol......whew..lol...now if only I can get a $48 gameboy advance at Wal-Mart............

Hey....I really don't have alot of negative things to say about Wal-Mart..it is what it is..and as for me and my family....we will continue to shop there. I have even entertained thoughts of going back to work there nights....I didnt mind the work...and the people are great...(mostly). NOW the Happy Holidays thing is making a big splash here too....that does bug me..alot. Simply because CHRISTMAS DAY is about a Christian belief...I have NOOO problem with any other religions or anything else...just hate that every single avenue in our lives has to be restructered to fit other people.
