Thanks!! Weird thing is I did an order on the B1G150% sale the other day with the 20% code but as I was placing the order I had typed in my card expiration date wrong. Order still went through, I saw this code and said "eh, oh well" but then that night my DD14 was saying to me "oh AE is really more like [older sister]'s style. i don'tlike their stuff". I could have killed her!! Long story short, bc of the expiration date issue AE sent me an email that they could not get credit authorization so I re-ordered WITHOUT DD14's stuff, added a pair of cute clogs for DD17 using this code too. I guess that is what you call lucky! It saved me having to mail everything I ordered for DD14 back!!

Ahaaha, I thought for sure I was right with Snively but I know you are correct now that you say that. My DH makes us watch Yogi's Christmas every Christmas Eve, I am ashamed I did not know that. Did anyone have to return any of this to the store? I didn't like the colors of some of the stuff I bought and I was wondering how they handled the return of a hoodie w/o returning any pants with? Do you just get half credit back on the hoodie? That would be ok with me bc then the pants would still be only $8.50.

Although I love the holidays I get very very depressed during this time as well. Mostly bc I am estranged from my mother (for the most part, she comes around when she feels like it) and therefore the rest of my family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, all the people I grew up spending the holidays with) think I am a terrible person. I really only have DH's family at the holidays and, well, it is just not the same. They are not warm and fuzzy people but are pretty materialistic, come to my house for Christmas dinner (never even know who to expect) eat and leave. So anyway, I know how you feel. At one point my holiday blues had gotten so bad that my Dh told me that my kids would forever view Christmas as a sad time bc I was always crying so much. I try a lot harder to hide it from them now but when I see that my little son, who is 3, has no real notion of what a family Christmas is about I get very upset. So, I guess I have no real advice to give just sympathy. ((((hugs))))

I love real trees!! Unfortunately, so does my cat. When we used to have a real tree she apparently thought the woods had come to her and she kept using my tree skirt as a litter box!

We got our first pre-lit tree about 12 years ago at a Farm and Family Supply store on clearance the week after Christmas for about $30. It has worked great ever since. Every so often we get a bulb that goes out but we change it and no problem. It just happens that now my ornament collection has way outgrown the tree. When I get my new one I will probably save this one for whichever DD moves out on her own first!

Kmart does usually have a prelit for cheap on BF. So does Target and Sears. I would wait till those flyers come out to make final decision. I also have been looking like CRAZY to find a new tree. My problem is that most of them are slim and clear lights!! I want a 7.5 ft (asked my DH to cut a hole in the ceiling so we could have a 12 footer but he said no :) ) wide based, short needled, never out w/ at least 800 multi colored lights. Kmart may have what I am looking for although 54 in wide is a little less than I want but I may have to suck it up I guess.

DD17 still loves her Compaq Laptop from CC, is using it in college (just not liking the Vista on it so much). DVD's still get used too. Gosh, I cannot even remember what all else I bought that day either!! Various items at Old Navy, VS, etc/ OH!!!! And that Radio Flyer Spring Horse that I got DS3 at TRU on special!! He still plays on that thing almost every day.

I miss the incentives stores used to give out. TRU gave wrapping paper one year, Ames gave scratch off cards for extra % off, Kmart was the best: got a 101 Dalmations gift bag full of stuff one year and a tin of cookies w/ Elmo on it the next. Penneys usually does snowglobes now but I LOVED when they did the Norman Rockwell ornaments. I think Macy's does stuff still, as does Sears and Penneys usually and Big Lots but other than that can't think of too many places that do much anymore.

:DI love Christmas CD's!! I collect them. Some of the best I have seen are the cheap compilation CD's. There is one called "Santa's Top 10" that Walmart carries at the holidays and it is awesome. Also, for many years the Citgo gas stations had some great ones they put out. MY ALL TIME FAVORITES THOUGH ARE: Alabama - Christmas (this has been my very favorite since I was little) Mariah Carey - Merry Christmas Dr Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the live action movie) The Jewel Christmas album is great too, so is the Destiny's Child, the Muppets w/ John Denver. Kenny G, Michael Bolton, Manheim Steamroller, and Trans Siberian Orchestra. I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!

I have to admit, for the first several years my oldest D was in school I did not think of the bus driver. Then, one day I happened to be home in the afternoon and watched our afternoon bus driver drop the kids off through a very very bad snow storm. Talking to the bus monitor a few days later she told me how great he was during that whole trip and how calm, even though he did get stuck a couple of times (including in our neighbor's driveway, my FIL had to pull him out with a tractor). Then my oldest started playing French Horn and every day when she had to bring the Horn to school, the same driver would stop the bus, put in park, get OFF the bus and carry the Horn onto the bus for her. LOL, I think this was for his own safety (didn't want to get clobbered w/ the case). I feel bad it took me so long to show appreciation. Thank you for what you do for our kids!!

MMMM....cinnamon rolls from a tube are awesome!! I actually do love them. When I was a kid they were a super duper treat!! Want some now!
