    TJ Maxx

I was there on BF weekend but not BF. I only remember they had an addtl 50% off all clearance items.
  2. See this site is GREAT advertising for stores on BF!!! I would not have ever really thought to go to Old Navy on BF and now I know there are lots of potential deals to be had.
  3. Oh, sooooo excited here!!! Makes me want to stop spending my Christmas $$ so much on hot deals now and save up for BF!! Have my eye on the Pressure Cooker for $19.99. Ofc, these are both presents for me but after a hard day of standing in line on BF I will deserve a treat, no?
  4. As I stated in another thread WalMart is dead to me...this just cements it. I feel the very tone of their comments about BF Forum Shoppers is condescending and quite arrogant considering it is coming from a store that has the reputation for being the largest representative of tacky, greedy, white trash america in the entire world. I never shop at WM on BF and don't intend to again, particularly after this. I will say that they make a big point in the article of saying that WM undercuts everyone else in the BF prices. Yes, they do but if you want brand name Laptops at great prices most BF shoppers will know that for a little extra money you can have a Toshiba laptop at Circuit City or Best Buy and at the end of the day know you got quality and a warranty for your money.
  5. I don't think B and N does anything for Black Friday. I do know that I will be there for a double espresso when they open though!!!
  6. Kids can turn it into fancy jewelry to give as cheap holiday gifts to teachers!!!
  7. Usually I go to work after, I have always loved the challenge of seeing how many stores I can hit and still get to work at a reasonable time and my co-workers love hearing my BF stories. This year I took the day off bc last year I got caught in the 4 hour hell that was Circuit City's cash out lines. Their systems got completely bogged down and it was taking 5-10 minutes to check out each customer. This year I will be calling them to make sure that this is not going to happen again and if I cannot get reassurance then I will be avoiding that store like the plague!!
  8. Thanks annfmeyer. My intent is to email Walgreens with a strong letter of complaint that also complains about the rude treatment I received. Irritates me bc they act like it is coming out of their pocket, I was careful to say look they are all legit w/ different bar codes, not copies. I think they would rather catch me committing fraud!! As for not taking the 6th coupon the manager just put it on the counter without saying anything and I said are you not taking that and he said it [register] won't let me. That was it so I said well somewhere else will so take one of the packages of medicine off my order. It was like pulling teeth I swear!! I was at Walmart just before that using TONS of internet coupons (love those $2 Kashi ones!) and the cashier was impressed rather than annoyed and asked me where I get all of them.
  9. I was at my Walgreens today and no coupon for $10 And they were HUGE jerks about me using so many, wouldn't let me use more than 5 but tried to stop me at 1. I told the clerk that unless it is posted somewhere I do not believe that is the case.
  10. I like the ones that Brillo Makes but the don't come with soap inside. They are so convenient bc sponges are just so nasty and full of bacteria it is nice to have something that you can throw away. Sometimes if I am out of the Brillo a paper towel will do the trick for small easy dishes.
  11. I was wondering if anyone knows what the VS gift with purchase will be this year? Last year my D loved the tote bag w/ Heidi Klum's pic on it. We are big Project Runway fans. What kind of sales do they usually run on BF? I was there last year obviously but I cannot remember what kind of sales they had going on.

  14. I think I may try that!!
  15. Do you all have VS credit cards?
  16. It says only original coupons accepted, will this work?

  18. Many teachers have told me that a basket of office supplies is a much loved gift to receive. Post Its, Highlighters, Pens of different colots, Sharpies, Labels, all of these are things that the teachers often have to buy with their own money. Also, in the past a gift that my D's teachers have really expressed a deep appreciation for are photo frame ornaments with the child's picture. Very often these are used as decorations for the class Christmas tree and the teachers tell me they love to look back and see how the kids have grown since then.
  19. In the past I have given gift baskets of homemade goodies but frankly the amount of appreciation given isn't worth the amount of work that goes into it. (Ditto for the family members that received the same baskets) Last year I gave big cookies in tins that I picked up at WalMart. Same thing I gave to regular co-workers. I am not even sure that anyone of my multiple managers even thanked me and of the co-workers it was minimal. Some co-workers that I am closer to got bottles of wine but again unless I handed it directly to them they did not even say thanks. This year I am swearing off gifts in the workplace but will probably break down at the last minute (I always do).
  20. Thank so much!!! I am constantly signing up for their mailing list and never get anything!
  21. Nice!! I will try that tactic out too!!
  22. I wish we had an Office Depot near me!! That is a good deal. WalMart does have them for .78 each. I was there today but didn't get any. Was miffed bc I thought the Mead 5 Star poly folders were .97 but it was the cardboard ones!! Didn't know til I got to the register!! I did get some of the loose leaf paper at Wm for .30, index cards .50, 10 pk mechanical pencils 1.96, pencil boxes .50, and papermate pens for .50 for a ten pack. It was a good start to school supply shopping which always burns me bc supplies are so expensive. I would rather spend the money on cool back to school clothes!! Call me shallow...
  23. If anyone spies a good deal on those plastic folders please post. My kids are way too hard on the paper/cardboard ones.
  24. I don't know when it ends but this sale is going on in-store right now. Yesterday went and got 2 bras and 10 pairs of undies for $50!! Anyone have any links to a printable coupon? I could go back for more!
