What a morning!! AND I was at work by 8 am. Headed to Kmart for B1G1 Joe Boxer jammies after a dentist appt later. Hope there is a store left. Staples was the best and busiest. I waited in line for 45 min but a clerk carried my computer chair to the front and they held it till I got up front. Target was the quickest checkout. I got right in the express line and was out in less than 15 min total. Kaufmanns was the worst deal. The jeans were a good deal but they had a coupon for $10 of any purchase of $25 or more. Unfortunately the fine rpint on the coupon read that this did not apply to purchases of JR jeanswear. OMG!!! Oh, well. It was still jeans for 12.99.

Actually, if I recall, Big Lots does still give out freebies every day of the BF weekend. I remember last year it was a little FM radio on one of the days.

I would also like to say that I feel that the freebie thing has really gone downhill over the years. I remember one year I got a free tin of cookies at Kmart (the tin had Elmo dressed in a Santa hat on the front, I still have it) and another year at Kmart I got a gift bag full of 101 Dalmations merch (I think there was lip balm, a poster, a key chain and what else I cannot remember). Toys R Us used to give a roll of wrapping paper and I used to love the Norman Rockwell ornaments that Penneys gave away. I think KB used to give freebies too. I wish stores would start that again...
