A friend of mine got my daughter the Care Bears doctor set with Tenderheart Bear for her birthday and she loved it the first few days but hasn't touched it since. She acts like she's forgotten she has it. And she's a big Care Bear junkie too. At the moment she's ga ga over Thomas The Tank Engine so I need to find more of those instead of the CB stuff. Anybody know where I can find a good deal on Thomas stuff? All Walmart has on their site is bedding sets.

I take my daughter with me and will chat with someone if they are in a talking mood but usually that doesn't happen that often.

We leave the house about 4 or 4:30 and come home around noon or when my feet hurt so bad I can't stand it anymore. Whichever comes first.

This is kind of a year-round peeve but I have a problem with people in parking lots. Namely the ones that want the parking slot you are in but pull up so close to your car that you can't back out without hitting them. Then there's the people that park so close to your car that you can't get in except thru the other side. Another thing that drives me crazy are the chatters. You know, the people that are in their car and see someone they know that's also in their car and they pull up opposite each other and sit there blocking the lane yakking away, totally oblivious to the fact that the rest of us can't get past them.

My daughter is in a Thomas The Tank Engine phase this year. I'm just hoping that Target has them on sale again on BF.

I can see it now.. Chucky will have a new girlfriend this year..

A word of warning on where you hide your stash.. I worked at K-mart & Big Lots in different years on BF. I was told to go around and LOOK for stuff people had hidden in other places. I usually found quite a few items stashed away that people had tried to hide. I've been in Walmart late at night when there were dozens of carts up by the service desk loaded with stuff for the departments to put back where they belonged. Hide items away but don't be surprised if they aren't there when you go look for them. :)

Men's Wearhouse is still your best bet.

There's just me & my daughter to shop for so if I don't get myself something, I won't get anything.

Spin Art has been around since I was a kid and I'm 45 now. It's pretty cool. I've actually still got the same spin art thing I had when I was a kid, it's packed up out in the garage. Don't worry about buying those refills for it, you can use poster board and poster paint in a squirt bottle. You can even use neon poster paints. Just don't let her use too many colors at one time, it makes a drippy mess and takes forever to dry. LOL A quick way to get the cards to dry a little faster is to use a hairdryer on them on low speed & temp. :)

I can't get in either now. I get the "You do not have permission to enter.." screen popup and yet I got in there last night with no trouble. Nobody was in there then, but I did get in.

I also went to CVS. Got a portable DVD player there too.

I'm a single mother of a now 6 yr. old girl. I don't have someone waiting at home that can take care of her while I shop so she comes with me. She loves it! I've brought her with me every year since she was 3. A couple of years were a little rough because of the crowds but she was fine once I got her in a cart. I'll still do some shopping online so that there's be something from "Santa" waiting for her.

People that are such a hurry to get a cart that they ram the person ahead of them in the back. It happened to me twice. It won't kill you to wait a couple of seconds so I can move out of your way.

Couldn't you get one of those hidden body wallets or pouches that you wear under your clothes? That way you could carry your passport/visa on you but it would be out of sight from being stolen.

I only have my daughter & myself to shop for.

I mean the little card you get to carry in your wallet. I don't have a glovebox, just a storage area between the seats and it would get lost in there. I thought it was mandatory that the Registration be in your car, the card is for your wallet.

Don't forget to carry your car insurance card with you. Too many times I've seen people whiz into and out of a parking space only to whack into another car.

I can't picture Meijers telling someone that if they were in line in time that they wouldn't be allowed to have the item. What are they gonna do? Go to each cart and take stuff out again?
