  1. Do you have cable? Maybe you could get a subscription to that NFL Sunday ticket?
  2. As far as I know, it's only the Super Walmarts that will stay open the 24 hours this year. All other 24 hr. stores will be closed on Thanksgiving and re-open at 5am.

    Recipes?!?!

Cranberry Apple Pie http://www.kraftfoods.com/images/dbphotos/53104.jpg Prep Time: 30 min Total Time: 1 hr 20 min Serves: 8 Ingredients 6 cups thinly sliced peeled apples 1 cup whole fresh cranberries 3/4 cup sugar 3 Tbsp. MINUTE Tapioca 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 pkg. (15 oz.) refrigerated pie crust 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine Preparation: MIX apples, cranberries, sugar, tapioca and cinnamon in large bowl. Let stand 15 minutes. PREPARE pie crust as directed on package for two-crust pie, using 9-inch pie plate. Fill with fruit mixture. Dot with butter. Cover with second pie crust; seal and flute edge. Cut several slits to permit steam to escape. BAKE at 400°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until juices form bubbles that burst slowly. Cool. Tips From the Kraft Kitchens: Food Facts: Use Cortland, Baldwin, Jonathan or Granny Smith apples for best results. How To Make a Lattice-Top Crust: Cut second pie crust into 10 (1/2-inch) strips with pastry wheel or knife. Place 5 of the strips over filling. Weave lattice crust with remaining strips by folding back alternate strips as each cross is added. Fold trimmed edge of lower crust over ends of strips. Seal and flute edge. Bake as directed.
  4. This person has made one post and has already racked up at least 99 GottaPoints with all of the responses to this. He/she pushed our buttons and we responded just like they wanted.
  5. Walmart's opening at 5am this year instead of the 6am they've opened in the past.
  6. I don't know but if you find any, let me know too. I have a 6 yr. old daughter that is Thomas ga ga. LOL

    Recipes?!?!

Here ya go! :) Buckeyes http://images.allrecipes.com/site/allrecipes/area/community/userphoto/big/1255.jpg Original recipe yield: 5 dozen. INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 cups peanut butter 6 cups confectioners' sugar 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips -------------------------------------------------------- DIRECTIONS: Blend peanut butter, sugar, butter, and vanilla. (Dough will look dry). Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Poke a toothpick into the top of each ball (to be used later as the handle for dipping) and chill in freezer until hard (1/2 hour). Melt chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler (use very low heat, not much hotter than tap water or the chocolate will get grainy. This will take awhile). Dip frozen peanut butter balls in chocolate holding onto the toothpick. Leave a small portion of peanut butter showing at the top to make them look like Buckeyes. Put back on the wax paper lined cookie sheet and refrigerate 2 hours.
  8. Walmart lost a DVD player I had put in there a few years ago. Luckily they had some more of them out on the floor so after waiting nearly 2 hours for them to finally admit they couldn't find my DVD player, they sent someone out to the floor to get another one for me.
  9. When we used to have dogs, we had to get them a present too and we wrapped them. When we didn't get them one, they started ripping the paper off the "people" presents to see if there was anything for them too. LOL We usually got them a new toy and a box of flavored Milk Bone biscuits.
  10. I don't have any inlaws or family to go to. It's just me & my daughter.
  11. Last year I made a baked ham & sweet potatoes but this year it's gonna be a smaller ham. I made the mistake of getting a bone-in half ham last year and there was way too much left over. This year will still be ham, but am going with a smaller ham roll this time. There's only me & my 6 yr. old to feed so I only want enough left over for some ham & cheese sandwiches.
  12. Were these in the toy dept. with the other Leap Pad items or separated from them somewhere else? I was just in the Target here yesterday and didn't see any on clearance or at sale prices. I did finally find the Thomas The Tank Engine for Leap Pad for my daughter tho. That one's hard to find but it was nearly $15.

  14. They're now in the process of making The Santa Clause 3. :)
  15. All you should need to do a link is copy & paste.
  16. That's good enough for me. I'll fight for the Cyberhome at Walmart then.
  17. Supposedly by BF we'll have a new Marshalls opening up. I've vaguely heard of it but never been in one. What are they like and would it be worth the time to shop there? They are opening next to Walmart in the remodeled Lowes store so it should be a pretty big store.
  18. If you have a Meijer store near you, ALL Halloween items are 50% off right now. I was there yesterday. All indoor & outdoor decorations, costumes, and whatever else there is has been marked down. And they have both adult & kids costumes.
  19. Have them make jars of cocoa mix. :) Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar INGREDIENTS: 6 1/2 cups powdered milk 1 (5 ounce) package non-instant chocolate pudding mix 1 cup powdered chocolate drink mix 1/2 cup powdered non-dairy creamer 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ------------------------------------------------------- DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, combine powdered milk, chocolate pudding mix, chocolate drink mix powder, creamer, confectioners' sugar, and cocoa. Divide the mixture between two 1 quart jars. Seal, and decorate as desired. These can be stored in a dry area for up to 3 months. Attach a tag with the following instructions: Hot Cocoa: Dissolve 1/3 cup cocoa mix in 1 cup boiling water.
  20. I just found the Annie & Clarabel cars for my daughter's Thomas The Tank Engine collection on there. Paid just $4.99 plus shipping & insurance so before the shipping I actually paid less than I would've at Target. This will be her present from "Santa" this year.
  21. Styrofoam snowmen using the balls & toothpicks work pretty good too. They can color the face in with markers.
  22. I haven't had it happen yet, but if anyone tries it they'd better count their fingers when they take their hand back. I'm betting a couple will be missing..
  23. How about some of those styrofoam packing peanuts in it with maybe a bag of M&Ms at the bottom?
  24. My dad retired from Kmart so that should help me get in.
