  1. There's an easy way to tell if you have a Superstore in your area, look in the Rand McNally road atlas that Walmart carries. They have a directory of the stores for all 50 states, Canada and Mexico too. They will also list the locations of the Superstores, regular stores, Sam's Clubs, and Walmart Neighborhood Markets. The atlas is around $6.00 there so not only can you find the closest one, it'll tell you how to get there and the address of it. :)
  2. Found another 69 cent MM apple juice last week. Just in time for my daughter's class party tomorrow.
  3. I think I remember they opened by 7:00am last year.
  4. You must have a great store then. I've walked in to the one here and been completely ignored. If I had a question or actually wanted to buy something, I had to track down a salesperson. More than once I couldn't see anyone so had to go back to the back where the repairs window was and have them page someone.
  5. This one isn't working anymore. Every place I've posted it on just says "User posted image" now. What happened??
  6. Where did you find those at? I never know where to look for stuff in the store here. Too small and cramped to hunt for stuff.
  7. I looked it up on Kmart's site and I vote for the purple too. She could also decide to go for a rainbow effect and have other colors in there too (like Fiestaware).
  8. You need to attach those pics as thumbnails because I can't see them well enough to choose.
  9. I like that - the Minute Maid Mambo. The Teaberry Shuffle was for Teaberry gum, not tea.
  10. ThermaCare has a new line of wraps that last for 12 hours. They have a new one that wraps your hand like a glove - http://thermacare.com/products-arthritis-hand-wrist.jsp http://thermacare.com/images/arthritis_products/prod.jpg
  11. They also have chicken broth in cans like that. :)

    Office Max

The Office Max here closed down 2 or 3 years ago. All we have now is Office Depot.
  13. Old-Fashioned Bread Stuffing Ingredients * 1-1/2 cups chopped or sliced celery (3 stalks) * 1 cup chopped onion (1 large) * 1/2 cup butter or margarine * 1 Tbsp. snipped fresh sage or 1 tsp. poultry seasoning or ground sage * 1/4 tsp. black pepper * 12 cups dry bread cubes * 1 to 1-1/4 cups* chicken broth * Sage leaves (optional) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a large skillet cook celery and onion in hot butter over medium heat until tender but not brown. Remove from heat. Stir in sage and pepper. Place bread cubes in large bowl; add onion mixture. Drizzle with enough chicken broth to moisten; toss lightly to combine. Place stuffing in a 2-quart casserole dish. Bake, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes or until heated through. Top with fresh sage. Makes 12 to 14 servings. Test Kitchen Tip: If using to stuff a turkey, reduce broth to 3/4 to 1 cup. Try a mix of whole wheat, white, and multi-grain bread cubes for extra flavor. Stuffing Additions: - Stir 2 medium cored and chopped apples into bread cubes. - Omit 1 cup of the celery and substitute 2 cups sliced mushrooms. Cook mushrooms with the celery in Step 1, above. - Stir one 15-ounce can chestnuts, drained and coarsely chopped, into bread cubes. - Stir 1 cup cooked wild rice into bread cubes. Old-Fashioned Bread Stuffing **************************************** Double or triple as needed. :)
  14. Ours must be a smaller store. No freezer section and no Hannah Montana or other Disney stuff there.
  15. I know stroganoff isn't really a holiday item but I do have a recipe for it for 70 1-cup servings. STROGANOFF FOR A CROWD (you can cut this in half, or 1/4 depending on your needs) 20 pounds lean ground beef 5 large onions, chopped 7 cans (26 ounces each) condensed Cream of Mushroom soup, undiluted 3 quarts milk 1/2 Cup Worcestershire sauce 3 TBS garlic powder 2 TBS salt 1 TBS pepper 1 Tsp. paprika 5 pints sour cream Hot cooked noodles In several large stockpots, cook beef and onions until beef is browned; drain. Combine soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika; add to beef mixture. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Just before serving, stir in sour cream; heat through, but do not boil. Serve over noodles. Makes 70 (1 cup) servings
  16. Southern Baked Ham with Coca-Cola Simmer the ham in a large pot of water for 20 minutes or so, then prepare the recipe. 1 - 14 to 16 pound cured ham 2 - 12 ounce cans of Coca-Cola pineapple rings red cherries cloves for garnish Preheat your oven to 300ºF. Starting 4 inches from the end of the ham, trim off the skin and fat, leaving about 1/4 inch of fat. Place the ham in a large heavy pan with a lid. Pour 1 can of the Coco-Cola over the ham. Add 1/2 inch of water. Cover tightly and bake for 1 hour. Remove the cover. Pour the other can of Coca-cola over the ham. Leave uncovered and bake for another 2 hours. Score the cooked ham in a large crisscross pattern. Place a pineapple ring with a cherry pierced by a clove in each scored segment. Let the ham sit in a warm place for 30 minutes before serving so that it will carve easily.
  17. GFS also has pre-mashed potatoes in bulk. :)
  18. If you have a Gordon Food Service (GFS) store near you, you can get cranberry sauce in a HUGE can. Same with a lot of the other stuff. Much cheaper to buy in bulk if you can.
  19. DD wants a ds for Christmas but I can't afford regular price right now.
  20. I hate checking the Kmart here but this might make it worth the trip. :) (Other end of town, nearly no help, pretty crummy)
  21. School uniforms here just disappeared. They didn't even clearance them as far as I know. One day they were there, then suddenly they weren't. Don't know what they expect parents to do when kids either outgrow them or they need warmer shirts when it gets cold. Guess I'll go to Walmart for them.
  22. This is probably a dumb question, but what's a Mix Stick?
  23. I think Big Lots was the last place that still had freebies on BF. I can remember even the local furniture store had stuff to give away, I think it was a small pocketknife. Big Lots had stuff like crystal & silver candleholders & clocks, Penneys had the Disney snowglobes every year, Kmart usually had crappy freebies (when they even bothered), Best Buy had great freebies but I didn't have one near me. It seemed like EVERYBODY had something to give away every year. :)
  24. Anderson IN has ALL clearanced school supplies gone now. Dunno if they sold out or went to salvage but last week had lots left and now it's cleaned out and the shelves are empty.
