That's odd. I got one last year and I had a choice of paying for it right away on credit or with cash or putting it in lay-away but if I wanted lay-away they had to take it back there for me.

Ain't it the truth? LOL Indiana has the weirdest weather some years. One year it was raining when I started and snowing by the time I was halfway done. I've never gotten there more than a couple of hours before opening in the past but if Walmart is opening at 5am this year, I'd better get there no later than 2am if I want to be able to see the front door from my place in line. I'm going to try to order that DVD recorder online so I won't have to go near the electronics area.

I got that too, several times. If it's doing that now, it doesn't look good for when BF ads are in full swing.

Can you get one of those pre-paid credit cards that she can use anywhere? Put like $100 on it and let her shop wherever she wants.

I dunno about Walgreens but the 24 hr. CVS I went to last year was anything but quiet. Crammed full with people getting the portable DVD players among other stuff.

I never said any of that was definitely BF items, I just said it was possible. I know Bratz & Barbie anything are usually hot items on kid's gift lists. I've also seen the Amazing Amanda thread on here with several people wanting one and they were always sold out. I thought that some of the items I saw might be things people were looking for and wanted to give them a head's up.

I was in Walmart tonight and found a bunch of toys & other stuff stashed in the overstock area in the bedding & towels area. It says it can take a picture from 500 ft. in the air. Sorry I didn't get the prices of anything but like I said it was all in the overstock area in the bedding & towels dept. There was more toys there but a lot looked like stuff they carry all the time.

Me or my daughter sick or really bad weather would keep me home absolutely. I'd just shop online then.

I'm hunting for my daughter's presents from "Santa" on eBay. It's the only way I can get something for her that she won't know about.

My 6 yr. old is a nightowl so I won't have a problem getting her to go. I trained her early on about BF shopping.

I usually don't have to say anything, my daughter beats me to it. She doesn't waste time by being polite, she just hollers MOVE! LOL

I like just enough to cover the grass and be able to make a small snowman. And only on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The rest of the year I could do without it completely.

I used to go alone before I had my daughter. After my mother died & my DD was 3, I started bringing her with me. :)

I was in Target today.. they had the overstock loaded with VSmiles in there. Didn't catch the price but the entire shelf up there was full of them.

For me it depends on how hard they hit me. A light bump will get them a look, anything harder will at the least get a glare and at the most a few choice words my 6 yr. old shouldn't hear.

Want mine? I got one a few years ago on BF at Walmart. Used it once & didn't care for it that much. Went back in the box again. :) I tried making a pizza pocket with it. LOL

Worse thing I got was a can opener from Walmart either last year or the year before. I bought it as a spare in case my regular large one quit working. I didn't use it right away so it sat in the box for 6 months and one day I decided to try it anyway. Stupid thing left slivers of metal from the cans in the cans of food!! It went back in the box and I never used it again.

I saw some VSmiles in Meijer today. I think they had them marked at $59 and change at the moment.
