maybe some mind benders.( the dollar store has several ) or little games, bowling passes, decorations for her room. a sleep over package for her and a friend. include a piza gift card, or a gift card to the concessions at the bowling alley.

Where do you hide gifts and how do you keep track of everything bought?
stevierocks replied to Brad's topic in 2017
one year i actually did all the wrapping and left them at a friends house, in spare room. i have hidden things many places. bikes/tools/large items in shed/ rv, ect. my closets a drawer that i empty(summer clothes.) now that they are older,i can leave things in a pile of boxes as santa does not have to bring them, and i lock the rear part of the house whenever i am not home. -
THANK YOU.. i hope they have a bunch.
-
oh wow.. i dont keep mine! i just do it to keep track of whos getting what and keep amount of presents as well as values kind of close.. i did come across it a couple times a year later or so.. and went over it with the kids.. seeing what they used/still use, or sadly never opened.lol

wow that was fast

we did that when i went camping with my son.. he puts the green lights in the trees above his site, people love it.
-

i feel like i am ahead of the game for once... but it wont last. lol for birthdays i make games where they have to figure out where the presents are.. i have 2 birthdays to do in dec. and one in first week of ?Jan. i have the game done for the first dec. one, and all presents wrapped. and have the presents for the second one.. will hopefully wrap them today.THEN i can start wrapping Christmas ones and making my list AND i think i have my secret santa presents figured out too:)
-
i do that too.. but i keep track on paper. i have a list.. and as much as i always think i will add to list when ordered or when it comes in , i never have.. i add things to the lists when they are wrapped and put into boxes. and then on top of the lists i have the locations of the boxes so i dont misplace any. i can always see who already has what wrapped and towards the end i just get what is missing to even everything out...or take back some and save for a birthday if one has WAY more then the others.

thank you, but i am a SHE .. common mistake everyone makes with the name stevie

yes my parents have 14 of them. ad 2 great ones. meaning we all have that many nieces and nephews, so we took off the siblings.
-
started on mine too! this is exciting!!
-
we started that several years back.. as more and more kids were being introduced to the family.i have 5 brothers and sisters .. so we basically cut out the siblings and significant others. we all still get for my mom and dad. the mom and dad still give an envelope to each (adult )kid. when we first gut it out we each would bring one gift card and play a game where we exchange them..
-
always socks.. to fill the toe.. a banana, orange, and granola bar,or snack, and a candy (they eat them while waiting for everyone to be ready to open presents) some item that everyone is getting one of, this year it is hand held mini air conditioners and then 2 small presents, when wrapping i often pick them and set them aside ..(small in size and price)
-
if she owns her home , an improvement to her home, or update..or repair, frsh paint in her bedroom.. ect//. but i would say the absolute best gift you can get her is TIME,. time spent with her.. make a coupon book.. offer in it to come do her hair, her nails( even if she goes no where the time spent wioll be more valuable then the actual nails) or have a hair dresser come to the house and do her hair,,a movie.. basket.. and go to her house and watch movie with her...a board game.. with a note saying" i/we will be over to play on (insert time and date)
-
well i already went off my plan.. lol did good for maybe a day. so starting over with same plan starting now.. and adding a day of wrapping to catch up.
-
wow the list grew!! this is exciting!!

What's something you buy or rebuy every Black Friday?
stevierocks replied to hoits2000's topic in 2017
hmm.i am certain there are items i buy every year, but i dont plan it out that way -
i have gone alone in the past, and have also taken other people. depends on the store . my family actually plans it out the day before. one wonderful memory was going with my BIL , he had never seen black Friday before, and is comical to begin with! the following year i went with my sister, ( his wife)

i think everyone is different.. and what ever you choose will be fine. but i get same for DS and a few things for FutureDIL so she has some stuff to open while everyone else opens theirs .. and any gifts for the 2 of them i tend to put her name on so she can feel more involved and welcome... (they still come over christmas morning to open gifts that "santa" leaves at the house
