a new idea adding to christmas morning... i just read on a different post, and think it needs its own, so i didnt over take the other by posting about it... i dont think every one knows what it is.. as i had to look it up and never heard of it... basically santa must put this green pickle on the tree christmas night..who ever finds it gets..... in my case it will be to open first present..but it could be an extra present .. or anything..

someone said this is a black friday item and cehaper... i dont know where.as until i saw the walmart post did not know i was getting one... or even that it exsisted..

when i grew up it was basically dig in...well tried that and noone knew what each other got or someone would open something that wasnt theirs...( accidentally) .. and there was duplicates, so one brother thought the item was his and his bro took it not knowing he got one too..fixed that quick.... anyhow we are overly organized with it now.. and none of them remember anything different.. we all sit around and one person picks a present from under the tree... and they cant pick their own, or the person who picked last... they get a present for someone else and hand it to them... they open it ..everyone sees... then that person picks a present from under/around the tree.. ect. it takes longer... but it is fun and they all seem to like it .. i know some people make piles and or use different paper to know whos is who..so what system do you use... also are presents from santa wrapped? someone told me they get presents from parents and those are wrapped and ones from santa are not... i thought that to be silly...but works for them...

i knew ablut the orange thing... but these kids dont like oranges.. so i put a banana or apple in each... i know in the old days there was different reasons and fruit was a treat.. but i figure better something healthy as they will eat so much candy and unhealthy stuff that morning..this way they have some thing healthy.. i think i am going to do somethign different that i just thought of typing this.. see we dont normally do breakfast xmas morning... by the time we all all up they want to open presents... and the system we have take s a while..then we are off to other holiday things.. so this year i am going to have a breakfast laid out ,not like i am not up late enough anyhow.lol. there was a time i would sleep an hour if lucky. also i put one small wrapped present in each stocking.. something not high in value.candy, some small puzzle cubes things they can play with while waiting for everyone to be awake and situated.

i was reading this and thought the same thing yesterday... lol... but i must have done so, as today i have ideas and got part ...

i actually asked a couple store owners i know here , and they all said it IS in their contracts to open .. one the husband and wife are going to be working, cause they dont want to even ask their employees to work thanksgiving... so they are going to spend theirs both working

ok maybe i rubbed off to much. lol. adam has been saying merry christmas.. it seems like all year... every 25th he says it... and then will say right day..wrong month... well i just got an idea..lol.. i am considering every 25th to invite someone from my family over or go out to dinner with them ect... as we use to do it every sunday... but that stopped several years ago..

oh goodness.. my ex mil decided to have it the weekend before thanksgiving.. my own mother was so upset and insisted she did it on purpose,j7ust to make her thanksgiving first so people(like my immediate fam.) would be sick of turkey before we went to hers/or someone elses on the actual thanksgiving..so therefor would not appreciate the actual thanksgiving.. ect... now dont get me wrong i love my family..but geesh!! the woman was just trying to make it so everyone would be able to attend both, as each of her kids had another families to try and fit in when both were the same day...

first, s sorry for the situation, and you will get through it ,hopefully it all runs smoothly. the movie idea may be more exspensive then the party where they invite a friend... but you also want the time with you ...

i do this every day for supper.. we go around the table and each kid says a good thing of the day... something they did for someone or someone did for them.. something that made them laugh or smile and something they are thankful for..it is hard when your not use to doing it ... but once it is a regular thing it does get easier... also no one can use something someone else used.. and no helping each other.lol but as for the question, i am very thankful for the support of my family and friends through some very difficult things the last few years..thankful that these boys love each other and will openly admit it...

with everyone growing up, it seems like the extras are actually cutting down.. other then one of the boys has dedicated himself to really do lights outside.. and we bought tons of lights last year so he would have them(several hundred dollars worth)... he made a whole plan with a diagram of what he is putting where..im excited about that as i use to decorate and have not done the lights outside fro several years now... so that will be nice.. and i never did anything close to what he plans.lol.

i would for the experience. i have driven back and forth every hour or so seeing when a line started.to see when we actually had to get in it. . my brother and nephew actually got a tent (bought a tent heater his second year)and camp out.. and we live in connecticut..so its certainly cold. lately there has not been a deal for me to camp out for.

i myself didnt.. but a family member got them for her boyfriend.and the place kept them for her , knowing it was going to be a birthday gift... and she gave him tires off a toy truck .. far beat someone elses idea ..they got tires for someone ..and get ahold of their car...had them put on.. and then pput a bow/// the girl did not even realize they were new tires...and hers were horrible!!

... i would dislike only because it takes families away from each other earlier , as some must go shopping instead of hanging out with their family and friends longer..
