that was due to post offices being closed in honor off the passing president. got my secret santa today! perfect timing it arrived on my birthday! but i am going to try to wait till christmas .

had to come answer this ! i am SO thankful for family , my friends and health.and LIFE... even more so then normal ,since i had a huge scare. the day after thanksgiving my dad was rushed to the hospital. going to see him was so scary as he was not himself,SO DELUSIONAL . We were SO scared. but i ended up calling the nurses station in the middle of the night and they informed me it could be the fact hes in the hospital making him confused with the medication too. he is now back home , but sick, he is getting better . SO thankful!!!

ytmomof4 , what happened to your son? i have not caught up with posts so i might find a post about it now while looking.. no matter what ,i'm praying for him!

so who got the gift card? i wish i didnt mistakenly miss a month .. or i would have kept coming back. then since i missed a month by 1 day , i was foolish and stopped checking in. and almost missed the secret santa this year too!

for girls you can do flowers and stick the gift cards into the arrangement ..melt wak over them and make them into a candle. slice open a soda can .. an slide the card in

we start with a pickle present .. (this was actually started from an idea from someone on THIS site ) there is a hidden pickle on the tree .. they all go to find it .. whoever finds it first , opens the pickle gift.(this will always be a gift anyone can use , or something with one for everyone in the box) then that person goes to the tree and picks a gift for someone else. , that person opens their gift , then goes to the tree to get a gift for anyone but themselves ot the person who picked them.. and it continues like that for HOURS.. everyone enjoys it and gets to see what everyone else got.

i have this same difficulty every year since the boys grew up and dont want toys. lol. usually something for their cars is a nice add on. i have done calendars with a certificate or gift card in each month.

unwrap a gift with oven mitts on and roll dice .. when someone rolls doubles they pass the gift around to that person and they have to wear a scarf too

since this is the thread everyone reads.. we do a summer secret santa thing ..(kind of like the one at christmas time) is someone running it this year, ? i have ran it a couple years in the past, but i believe the person who normally does it is actually back as of last year... this is just a reminder that if your active and wish to join to keep your eyes open in the future.

i have an idea.. might have been inspired from a post on here(or i thought of it as i have not taken down this last tree yet)...i have a white artificial Christmas tree, in my back kitchen .. i have all the x-mas ornaments off and i left red bows. i was going to put some hearts on it.. and it can now be a valentines tree.. then maybe some shamrocks , then eggs and bunnies, then some blue and red decorations.. ect.. leaving it up and it actually being a holiday tree... good idea/ bad idea?

its Feb. Less busy shopping month..though i have a couple birthdays to shop for ,,oddly this month i seem to have dome more brick and mortar then online shopping.NOT the norm... quite strange, especially with the cold weather.
