I ended up getting him The Elephant Whisperer book (looks interesting!), a bath pouf from Pier 1 Imports (kinda cheesy for an 18 y.o. boy but it was really cute),and a snowglobe with an elephant inside (trunk up for good luck Midwest Mama!) and a Wildlife calendar (an elephant was for the month of March) from the Dollar Tree. If I'd have had more time,I might have ordered something online but was afraid it wouldn't get here in time. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!

The dvds were still in the red cardboard display case that said, "Black Friday special. While supplies last" and had .96 printed on the side. I couldn't believe we still had tons left! We did not have any of the puffy coats left. I hope you get one at a good price somewhere!

I picked up my Site-to-Store order today (Coldwater store in FW) and noticed many BF specials still available! In the Electronics department,there were still all the .96 dvds on display and yes,they rang up at .96. I got 6 of them. I even saw the BF balloons with the specials in the baby department. Plenty of clothing items in those special red cardboard display like jeans and shirts. Any one else notice BF specials still in their WM?

I know it's no consolation,but that very thing has been on the news here too. One person set up a camera and showed the perp actually knocking down(and ripping) her giant Santa. Police released the video in hopes of someone turning in the person who did it. Sad that you can't even put out enjoyable things without someone stealing them.

Thanks! I was on Amazon but almost all the things I found there was going to break the bank,so to speak. I found one book that works but I need to find some other things for free SSS. I'm not exactly sure (we don't get many details on the family),but I think an 18 y.o. would like images of real elephants. I've looked on many sites and a lot of them have cartoonish or nursery items of elephants but I think those are too "kid-ish". I appreciate your help and insight dealluvr!

We just adopted a family for Christmas and the 18 y.o. son requested "elephant" things like books,puzzles,etc. I admit I like a shopping challenge but after looking around on the internet,I am getting discouraged. I can't afford to spend a whole lot (I would like to keep it under $20 but get a lot of things) so am now wanting to try b&m stores for gifts. Does anyone know where I might find some inexpensive items with elephants on them? I was thinking maybe a calendar,pens,poster,book,puzzles,coffee mug. I will be checking Dollar Tree and maybe craft stores (JoAnn's and Michael's) but can anyone think of any other stores or cheap on-line stores? I need to have everything turned in by 12/17. TIA!

They're trying to get it moved up to July '13 now! Oddly enough,I did notice I was charged .56 tax on some item the other day. First time for that.

I went to KMart today to see if they had any of the Password Journals in and,sure enough,they did. Armed with my lame raincheck,my BF order slip and email confirmation,I expected to do battle but the cashier ran it through with no problems! I thought she would balk because it rang up at $24.99 and the raincheck price was $14.99. PLUS,they gave me $3 SYWR (they occasionally will email and tell me I have "x amount of additional SYWR"). So I got the PJ for $11.99 today! I know this is a hit-or-miss product,but DD8 has wanted one forever and she will be getting one for less than half-price.

Update: I received these Thursday and WOW I am really impressed! They came in an Old West box (apparently Jama is affiliated with Old West). Really quality boots and I am very happy with them. I know Lil Sis is gonna be over the moon They have Big Sis's "seal of approval" also. Yippee!

I got Hubby the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 from Staples on BF. Now,for ACCESSORIES. What do I really need (for him)? I got some kind of case that also doubles as a stand and possibly a keyboard (not sure if this is going to work). Do I need to get him a screen protector too? Will he need headphones/earbuds? Any helpful advice appreciated He doesn't even have a smartphone so this will all be new to him. TIA!
