This one is in Newington on Burlin Turnpike. I've also been Christmas/Toys shopping at the other two (both by malls) one in Farmington - West Farms Mall and the other in Manchester (or South Windsor??) I find the on in Manchester is the biggest one and has the most merchandise so I've been stocking that one for a while but they didn't have any Barbie advent calendars left and they haven't even consolidated their clearance stuff into the same place yet so I'm glad I decided to go visit this one. OT but I just went to Walmart yesterday and was able to dig and find quite a few Christmas bargains at that one as well (also down in South Windsor - still 75%) This is after visiting Walmart in Newington a week ago and finding everything's good GONE! So I think I will now shop in Manchester for all of these Clearances throughout the year even though these stores are the furthest for me.. Are you by any chance in Hartford area or the Stamford/New Haven?

Ended up at another CT Target tonight. Hubby and I had half an hour to kill after a nice dinner out (parents had kids over at their place) so I checked on the Toys. They have now all been organized into 3 aisles with 30% signs and even one 50% sign. I don't think there is a large variety of toys (I think the other Target has more though) but they have plenty of the clearance ones. Picked up Barbie avent calendar too (75%). Thank you for letting us know about this one!!! They still had about 6 of those left.. Was hoping the cashier lets me have the My Little Pony one for 75% but after a looong conversation with her fellow cashiers and some upper lever people on the phone she finally told me that one is only marked-down to 30%.. Oh well, I now have Barbie and LPS (picked up at 75% at Walmart) do I really need another one? I only have one dd3 and ds1. How are you guys doing it..are you buying all three or just one?? I've never seen these before, next Christmas will be the 1st one we'll have these, not to mention that I'm Jewish so I don't even know that much about Christmas in anyways (although we do celebrate it and not the Jewish holidays..)

How much is the shipping?? We've ordered 5 calendars from them using some discounts for New-Years gifts but if it's super cheap I would get one for my hubby for work.

Our Target (CT) still has everything at 30-50 but it looks like a bomb went on there or something.. Yesterday everything was so orderly but today toys are scattered all over and some blank spots. I think there was a spot where Barbie Advent calendars must have been (couldn't find one) and also an empty spot where those Babie Alive dolls prob. were.. It's so weird how people find all of these 75% deals.. Must be a lot of GottaDealers in my woods or something... Have seen many sale toys behind other non-sale toys so looks like it was strategically misplaced . I also finally scored LPS Advent calendar for 75% at Walmart ($3.xx) and lots of other goodies (had to dig A LOT.) Actually LPS Advent was a price adjustment. The cashier and the manager were both cluless wethere these should be 75% (they were in Toy dept. - lots of them - orig. price) so she gave it to me for 75% along with a cool Christmas book that was also scanning orig.

I got that one for $10 a couple of days ago!! How does it work with returning this kind of stuff?? This isn't considered seasonal right? So I can just return with receipt?

I asked the girl packing Christmas stuff away (next isle to Toys) and she didn't know what I was talking about. She was kind of young though so she prob. wouldn't be interested in it in anyway. I'm thinking we should ask employees who look like they have kids because they would want to know themselves and prob. go the extra mile to try to find out..Maybe..

Looks like maybe baby alive doll has been marked down to 75%. I haven't verified this though and prob. won't since I don't need it but maybe someone who needs it and will be at Target in anyway can scan to see if it is or not.

I think I read somewhere that price adjusters only work Mon through Fri but not sure how correct that info is. I thought Christmas clearance went to 90% on Sat. or Sun in some stores??

OT but I bought ALL of my Maternity cloth from Old Navy's website both of my pregnancies. The prices were great and everything always fit. There were a couple things I ended up not liking and it was a breath to take them back to the store for returns. They have A TON of pants.. Especially if you need Business Casual, which is what I needed for work. I always picked the ones on clearance too!! Our store didn't have as much of a selection though and nothing really on sale so that never worked for me but they are having good sales right now (might have extra 50% super sale tomorrow so you might want to check it out)

I found someone on another site who has an insider friend and this was her post from last night (seems to be right on:) I talked w/friend last night.She is off today and will call me tomorrow, but she didn't think toys were going 75%.She said maybe more toys going 1 st. markdown - 30%- but will let you know for sure. Hardly any toys went clearance the week of Christmas-not like other years when we had aisles and aisles of clearance...The Christmas toy week clearance used to take an overnight of 8-9 hrs. and lots of helpers to finish. This time only a couple of people and done in 7 hrs....only 3 endcaps of toy clearance now, so maybe a new batch of 30% (heavy) will be sent down this week. I know sometimes during very heavy clearance weeks the company would mix up days(toys is supposed to be on Thurs) but they would put it in either Weds. or Fri. workload All I know is this is the start of heavy clearance throughout store! She is posting and keeping everyone updated every time she talks to her friend (who works for Target) so I'll update everyone on here if I read something new... I wonder about that mix up days schedule though... Does that mean this sale could happen on Friday (tomorrow??) I really want to know if it is or it isn't since I might be stocking the Old Navy's sale tomorrow. I guess no one knows if that one will happen either... Edit: I should mention that this is from Cincinnati website...

Has anyone seen LeapFrog My First LeapPad on clearance by any chance?? I got the books for it on clearance for $3.xx (down from $15.xx) a while back but have yet to pick up this system so I can give it to dd3. I've seen (and missed it) for $15.99 before Christmas so I really don't want to pay more than that.

Is this for winter or a light one? I saw some nice ones at Target today but they didn't have this one..

Back from one in CT. Yep, still no 75%. Signs still say 30% but a lot of Toys are marked-down to 50%. I finally had a chance to go through all of the isles and check what's marked-down. I was surprised at how many things I liked! (that's after thinking I'm completely done after shopping at Amazon) There are SO MANY TOYS TOO!! You would think they just stocked up on everything. No empty shelves! Everything very orderly so they must have organized it or something.. The things that I saw on clearance that haven't been already mentioned: A lot of Einstein toys (some rocket thing and also a blown-up chair) Handy Manny Truck with Tools (maybe more Handy Manny toys) "Cars" (mini pkg. of 6 and pkg. of three - diff ones) - 50% Lots of things clearanced in the little cars isle too (some pkg. of 6 I think) Some Mega Brand take along activities (next to Parents toys) (They had color with water and some other types) - 50% Lots of Barbies and Barbie dress-up outfits for girls LPS and MLP Advent calendars were marked-down too (30% or 50% can't remmember) LPS bath tub set Big Fire Truck (can't remmember which company?) Small puzles and games Also in bike helmets section they have Diego helmets 5+ and 3+ on sale for 13.99 down from 19.99. I bought Thomas train one for 3+ at the other store (same price) (They seem to be clearancing out diff. ones at diff. stores) Also they were packing and removing Christmas stuff (even shelves) so that stuff is completely GONE now. I did pick up outdoor rug (the scratchy variety) says Noel on it for $5.99 (75% off) We had that stuff in the separate section on the end isle together with some fake Ponsetas. (We need it for the garage so I didn't care what it said on it - was considering it for 50% last week so glad I waited) Also those Bath sets are now at 30% at 3.xx (Hannah Montana make-up still 15%). Still had plenty left so I will be checking out those every time I go to check on the Toy sale.

Yeh..I think I found your threads..and that lead me to this new site. Sorry I didn't know about the issues that followed... I just thought that it was weird that they are so openly discussing these sales (ahead of time) which are supposed to be secret and all!! But 11th doesn't really leave them much time to go to 75%.. Also why they wouldn't just put a FORUM like that on the Intranet (as opposed to Public Internet) beats me!!!

So this is very weird but in this FORUM they were talking pretty openly about the 90% for Christmas stuff BEFORE that ever took place! I know exactly what you mean. I go shopping with my ds 11/2 and half of the way he eats crackers but when he's done with those I let him carry a Toy and/or something else he sees that he likes. It keeps him occupied for quite a while too... Actually once I almost walked out of the store with him still holding the "Cars" mini box. I already paid the cashier and was walking towards the door when I spotted that thing in his hands (I completely forgot he had it) There was also another time in ToysRUs when I spotted a toy that my ds3 put in the bottom of her brother's stroller cause I guess she was imitating us shopping... We already walked passed the registers too... I'm affraid one of those days I'll get approached by a security guard wanting to take me away to jail cause my kids are "shoplifting" :) Maybe my Coach bag will scare them away :) (Got it as a Christmas present for myself - on sale of course - I LOVE IT)

Ok, so can you tell I'm slightly bored and in need of something to do... Still searching the World Wide Web and I came across thebreakroom.org/forum/ Apparently it's the new forum for Target employees and I was looking through it hoping someone has a slip-up and says something about the Toy sale. I think I found something but I'm not good at Target lingo so maybe someone can tell me what this person meant.. (It was published on 1/1/2009 by someone with Location: Out west) - "We still have a lot of Christmas left over. They've set all they can so far in Mini and $ spot, but there's still a ton of clearance left. Toys begins resetting on the 11th...so far away!" ??

I have a feeling it might at one of my Targets. Of course it has to be the one that's the furthest away but I'm going to check it out in anyway tomorrow. Things have been at 50% there for a while and they went 90% Christmas on Sun so that's stuff is long gone now. I prob. won't be able to report until 3p.m. though.. (Maybe 1 or 2 at the earliest..)

I kinda figure most people that were shopping the sale and updating the threads are here now and we have already gotten some responses back from people looking back at their receipts and so on... I was hoping to find some juicy secrets at some weird hacker sites but NO LUCK. I really wonder how in the age of Internet all of these stores are doing such a great job at keeping these sales so secret?? I mean there are so many employees.. When it has something to do with govt. or special opps or whatever things seem to be leaking all over the place but when it's the Target Secret Toy sale, well that's staying super Hush-Hush :)

So I found another thread (kind of looked like people there knew what they were talking about) mostly posts from yesterday and Today and everyone's mentioning Thursday and 10th for last year, so I think I'm getting up early tomorrow and heading over to Target. What are everyone else's plans??

Ok, so I've been Googling for the past 30 min. and it seems some people (from years 2005/2006) were thinking Toys go to 75% on 2nd or 3rd Wednesday. And some from more recent years were mentioning Jan 9th as 1st day. (That was also a Wednesday last year) So we are not all missing it Today by staying home are we?? I think I'm going to have to go and check out some Targets after my hubby gest home at 6.

That sounds like something I might need. I'm terrible at this whole cologne business though.. I rarely use it myself (have some my parents brought back to me from visiting France years ago) but some of my relatives (in another country) have been asking for some perfumes when we send them gifts.. What's good??

Ohh..Good to know! Thanks!! You might want to stock up on Birthday supplies too. Like party favors and/or character-themed papper goods. Also don't forget they have some character furniture if you need any of that...

You've given me hope!!! 10 is the time I'm hoping to get there, NOW if I can only figure out which day to go.. The one Target furthest from me started 90% Christmas two days earlier (Sun) then the other two Targets. They've seem to have Toys marked down to 50% for a couple of weeks now too so they would be my 1st choice. They actually seem to have the most stock too as the one closest to me is kind of tiny and almost out of everything.. Is anyone going to try calling their Targets to find out if the sale has started?? Also do they always scan everything in one day (hopefully a couple of hrs. time frame?) or can they mark something down in the evening and then maybe the next day?? Just trying to understand whether I need to plan more than one outing..
