My hubby actually told me the same thing yesterday. I have to wonder if it's Bill Me Later who doesn't want to deal with Amazon, or Amazon doesn't want to deal with Bill Me Later? Maybe one of them is in financial problem? I'm too lazy to Google but prob. there's an article or something on it somewhere..

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
arelf27 replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Should everything with Christmasy pattern be marked-down to 75%? I was at Target yesterday and I found two packs of chapstick that had snow flalkes on the packaging. It said cherry and sugar cookies flavors and it also said special edition. This was clearly created for Christmas (not regular flavors, packaging, etc.) but it scanned at regular price and when I brought it down to cashier she said sorry it doesn't scan at 75% off so this is not included in the sale. Was she right? Shoulld I have pursued with customer sercvice or found a person with mark-down gun and ask them about it? Tnx. I did find two packs of Electrasol powerball tabs (32 tab box with pinguins) for $1.xx. Never tried them before so we'll have to see how it works. Also some toothpaste two packs on clearance. No goldfish Christmas packages left though... -
I was thinking about this some more and I really don't understand why would anyone ever buy anything from Buy.com to give to someone as a present. I mean between the time it takes to get the shipment and having the opportunity to give it as a gift, for sure the 14 days would expire and the person would be stuck with the thing no matter what.. Seems like Buy.com is limiting their customer base big time. And you're right, I just looked at Amazon return policy as I'm looking to return a ride-on toy my ds1 got for Christmas (he got 2 from two different people) and they've extended their return policy until Jan 31st. So if you bought something in Nov. they give you almost 3 month to return it. Now that's service and the kind of Company I want to do business with for ALL OF MY GIFT-GIVING NEEDS!!! (And I do too.. I've bought so much stuff from Amazon this Holiday season and previously but this was only my 2nd transacton with Buy.com and 2nd dissapointment. I will not even go into my 1st experience dealing with them - about 1 yr. ago. I guess I should have learned from that experience...)
-
Thanks. I will try to do that!

Unfortunately I already send them an e-mail and got this reply (right before I came here to vent...) Thank you for contacting Buy.com regarding order #####. Unfortunately, we are not able to honor your request for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) as the 14 days return time frame is over.

I'm curious - what is See Spot Save and which isle would I be able to find it? (I googled it and I found a mention of a gadget like GPS - is that what you were referring too?) -
So I ordered this "Discgear Selector 100-Disc HD Disc Storage System - Black" from BUY.com because I thought it would be neat to organize all of our photo dvd's. (It has good reviews everywhere it is sold.) This was supposed to be a Christmas Present for my hubby. Unfortunately I didn't take a good look at it until a few days later as I was trying to wrap it and put it under the tree. Well I discovered that it was broken. I then thought the packaging of it was very poor as I couldn't even tell for sure if this was an opened item or what... I mean it was just sitting inside a plastic bag - how strange is that?? Also the broken part somehow is sticky on the side where it's broken. That makes me think the item was damaged before it was shipped out to me and Buy.com attempted to make it look like it wasn't?? Needless to say I was/is very dissapointed with this purchase and have No Faith Whatsoever in this Company. So I thought my biggest problem was that my husband was now left without one present I really wanted him to have!! Reality check - when I attempted to return this item to Buy.com for an Even Exchange I discovered they have 14 days return policy. Here it is: Unless otherwise stated below, you have 14 days from the date your product left the warehouse (regardless of when you actually took delivery of the product) to get a valid RMA from our website and get your product to a shipper to return back to us. So now I can't do anything with this piece of CR*P. I really think this 14 days return policy is ridiculous. I think it would be one thing if I didn't like the item. Although even then I think all return policies should be 30 days. I've been seeing far too many Companies lately making their return policies less than 30 days and at this rate I think they will all get to No Return policies very soon. (Some already have and have been won over in Courts.) The other problem I have with Buy.com is that they have no telephone number where I can speak to a live person. That too I think is strange. I'm really used to getting good customer service (Amazon...) and I've been in planty situations where the rules said one thing but after talking to an actual person I was able to convince them to do the right thing.. I really wonder now what kind of Company Buy.com is?? I know for sure I will never buy from them again (No Matter How Good Is The Deal) because to me they seem very shady. My husband thinks they are run out of NY (I think he did spoke to someone once and they had a Brooklyn accent or something..) so that might explain some things... I don't know maybe I'm wrong on this one but I don't understand why I'm stuck with a broken item, with no way to return it and no one to complain about it... Anyone has any ideas or suggestions?? So I take it Toys don't go on the same schedule?? But they do go to 75%, 90% eventually right? I was looking at this thread from last year and it appears there were no Toys - 75% discussion until 1/30.. that seems kind of late?? Or is that right? -
Is this the highest they ever go or will we see 80% off next week? Also I remmember stocking up last year for summer when they had big coupon code out. I don't think it was advertised on their site though.. Am I right? I thought someone said that happens twice a year. Is this the big sale or is that coupon code different?? I just remember thinking that items were priced very low, esp. in Outlet and on top of that I had this big coupon to use (60% or 70% off)...

Went to two CT Targets after hearing CT is 75% off but unfortunately both were still at 50% off. They are both located by Malls so maybe that's why?? Maybe I should have gone to the smaller one by my house. After these other two I was too exhausted to check this one out. I did notice though at one store there were mini "Cars" (from "Cars" movie) set that was 50% off and also another package of small cars (similar to Hot Wheels) also now down to 50%. -

Also some of you are mentioning using the coupons.. Are these from the newspappers? Do they have any on-line coupons? Tnx. -

So I'm a bit confused. Since some stores are at 75% off now is that just for Holiday stuff? What about toys? Do they have a different mark-down schedule for different items? I know 2 stores in CT I went to over the weekends had 50% off Holiday and also had mark-downs in Toys department but I didn't bothet to figure out what the actual percentage was. I just figured they weren't marked-down enough for me to be interested.. Thank you.. -

**It wouldn't happen to be one next to West Farms Mall or on Burline Turnpike?? Now I wished I would have gone. Opted for cleaning the house instead. Was there anything good?? I will prob. go after 6p.m when hubby comes home.. -
O really..wow..that's a bummer!! I was going to buy Uggs from them but I'm glad I read your post. I think that's really dumb. I love buying from on-line stores that also have stores near me because I can return easily. I guess I won't be buying from Victoria Secret.

I am very dissapointed with my purchase at Buy.com right now. It was a CD/DVD storage thing for my hubby and when I went to wrap it I noticed it was all broken. I still have to call them and see about exchanging it or returning. The thing is it was packaged very poorely. I mean it just had a plastic bag over the whole thing. I can't even tell if it's an open item or what... It also looks to me like it might have been glued together before (the part that's broken) I might be wrong but I'm not sure. The whole thing looks horrible... I was glad I had two other presents for my hubby (Swiss knife & blue ray DVD) but I was upset I couldn't give this to him as a present.. http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/268/207934268.jpg

Tell me your hits this year for toys
arelf27 replied to tjarena's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I have dd3 & ds1 Hits: K'Nex cookie monster set (I was affraid I was wasting my money since we got Elmo and Ernie ones on BF. But this set came with so many extra pieces. We have been building things for 2 days straight now. Everything from towers to garage, etc.) Melissa & Doug Band in a Box. (Big Hit!! Everytime someone grabs an instruments everyone else joins in and we get a band going just like that) Hot wheels cars - 10 pk. (go great with K'Nex make-believe garage) Elmo Live gets his Love sometimes.. (Other times he's lying somewhere on the floor..) Dora Vanity (gets played with a little bit when DD is in her room which she seldom does now) Duck and Frog towels (from Kohls) Misses: Melissa & Doug magnets doll, Bowling game (it talks and everything but I don't think kids are too young to follow directions yet..), Tonka Fire Truck Not sure: HoneyBee Hop game (DD was terrified of it at first. Seems to have warmed up but they can't really jump to it..) Haven't opened yet: My First Computer ClickStart games (kids haven't really been too impressed with the console in anyway (gave it to them before Christmas) DS is def. too young and DD doesn't seem to be really into these gaming systems.. Don't know if that will change..) Cinderella Bike for DD - too cold to go outside. We're still having New-Years party at our place on Saturday for all of our friends with kids so we'll see then how they like all of their presents. I think those should be a Hit!!! I almost feel bad giving out some of the presents because they are so nice and very expensive (orig. prices - of course I paid much less due to all of them being 60% off.) I kind of feel bad looking like we've spent all this money (don't want to make anyone else feel bad) if their presents are not as nice. Because in most cases I actually spend less than they did. -
I actually thought JCPenney's 75% off Christmas was a pretty good deal. I got two Disney globes one big one with princesses and one with Mickey. They play music and are very pretty. I also got two packages of wooden ornaments (4 in each) which I thought were neat since our kids are still young and we've only been decorating our tree with lights and the like skipping the glass ornaments. Now I can decorate the tree some more since it's staying up until after New-Years as we're having a Christmas/New-Years party at our place next weekend. I also picked up 2 candles whick flicker and look like they're really lit but in fact work on batteries. Very pretty too, one gold and the other one red. Also Disney Mickey and Friends serving tray. They also had kid slippers 50% off. Used the $10 off coupon too.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009

I was at Target yesterday and managed to pick up a few bargains. The best one was Thomas the Train bike helmet 3+ for ds. It was on clearance for $13.99 down from 19.99. Too bad no girl one's on sale as I also need a new one for dd but for 5+. I also got a case of 4 gorgeous wrapping papper rolls that came packaged together with ribbons and bows. The colors are bright pink, blue and white which are perfect since we're still having Christmas/New-Years get-together for our friends with kids next weekend and we're doing presents exchanging so I needed wrapping paper for that. It was 50% off (like the rest of Christmas stuff) so down to $5 from $10. I'm hoping to go back to Target when discounts are down to 75% to stock up on wrapping goods for next year though. Also picked up some cookie cutters (a big snowman one and a pack of small cookie cutters) at 50% off. Also packages of candy canes for 99 cents. I thought these were really neat and would be perferct for the party since they are fruit flavored. One was princesses and one high school musical. They also had kid slippers for 50% off. Didn't see many papper goods. Just one pattern I think was at 50% off. Some toys were at 50% also like the little car packages.. I think some Parents brand too not the ones I needed though. -

I never tried Uggs on before. How are they sized? I wear 8 in U.S. shoes. I see they have size 8.0B. Is that the one I need? What does B stand for.. Thanks. -
For the orig. prices one would have hoped they'd be leather and not just leather-like..
