  1. Do you remmember which microphone and stand?? Yeh, I just discovered that website as well during the huge Winter sale and have ordered some things from them. Haven't ordered any art supplies though. Might have to look into what they have. She can keep herself occupied for quite a while with playdo and stickers and when we go out I always drag some water coloring pages with me which she loves to do as well. I'm just looking to see what else is out there that would keep her occupied and hopefully(?) be mess free. I just find it frustrating that she uses up paper so quickly that it doesn't even seems worth it to buy it. That's why I was wondering about those computer things... I'm also going to look into buying her some large beads (either snap on from Target) or Melissa & Doug kind and hopefully have some fun with those. I've never been into crafts myself so that would be the extent I'm willing to go to :)
  2. Do you mind posting any links or pictures?? I've heard someone say this before on this board (could have even been you) but when I looked into them they looked like real instruments. I think most of them said 6+?? I think I would really like something that looks more like a toy but serves the purpose of being educational as well. Maybe I'm not looking at the right ones??
  3. Can someone recommend some Musical Toy Instruments and also Art Toys for ds - 19 month and dd 3 1/2. My son is a bright little kid (is keeping up with his older sister) and Loves dancing to music. Dh actually taught himself how to play a guitar in his youth so I'm hoping at least one of my kids will be musically inclined and would like to incourage that by exposing them to musical toys. I'm just confused because I see so many toys out there and we have bought so many toys for our kids already which get played with once and then end up laying around... Vtech Kidi Jamz has recently caught my eye but I don't know if it's worth the Dough and if my kids are too small to appreciate it and will just end up braking it. They can be rough on their toys!!!' JCPenney also has this one which is $20... Is keyboard even a good option?? What about drums?? I've never had drums growing up but I wonder if that's what the kids are playing with nowdays? My dd3 is into arts. She loves drawing but she usually grabs a notepad and a marker and then is done with the whole thing in like 15 min. She literally scrambles something on one page then moves on and then she wants a new pad. She screams if I tell her that she needs to draw on one page at a time. I'm wondering if all those computer art centers would be a good alternative for her and if yes which one?? I don't think I want an easel because then my whole house will have drawing on it. We already have a few etcher sketchers which our kids use regularly. I want to buy some Crayola Wonder Finger paints as we have not used those yet but what else?? I would really appreciate some help!!!!
  4. Do you just get an e-mail automatically as soon as you sign up for it? I've actually signed up on Thanksgiving and I never received the confirmation e-mail or anything so now I can't even sign in because I don't know what my reward # is. When I click on the option to send it to my e-mail it says e-mail has been sent but I don't get anything. It has been so frustrating. I really don't feel like calling but I guess I might have to. I haven't received a single e-mail from them... I was really hoping for a deal that's more like 50% off. I've heard that's what the stores had last year. Maybe Amazon Toy sale will have something on sale. Actually bought a Schwinn tricycle for my dd there last year.
  5. Me too! I need 16" bike for my little girl. Actually saw Tinker Bell (purple) Huffy at KMart which was sooo cute! Not on sale though. KMart has all of their bikes on sale but only like ~$9 off. Even though I have $5 coupon still too much. Really hoping for a good deal!
  6. I'm so on the same page as you are! My hubby and I also don't like Walmart. No bad experiences or anything like that, just not the store we like to go to. We'll go to Target over Walmart anyday!
  7. While it's great that most people have such a naive innocent view of our world it seems a bit weird to me that everyone's forgetting why there's such a crowd, the rush, the fighting and so on... Obiously the whole "sale thing" is a big gimmick where stores get a very limited number of stock of the big sale items yet they advertise it all over the place as if most people can really get their hands on it. I personally love all of the sales (not just BF) where stores advertise like a 2 day sale but the sale items are dead gone within 2 hrs. of the store opening on the 1st day. Obiously the stores only really want for the big crowds to show up and buy the regular priced items. I believe that everything in life has consequences and all those guilty of not behaving ethically will just bring out more non-ethical behaviour. It is painfully obious that businesses only care about making profits and the big cheeses like CEO's only care about themselves and so on and so forth... There are just too many ways for Wally and others to make these sales actually fair and benefit the consumers and the employees and increase security and to get more merchandise and to implement lines and tickets and so on and so forth but Wally obiously likes the system they have in place and disregard any improvements they can make.
  8. That's a good point yet I think there's a difference btwn one or a few people acting out a certain way and the way a crowd behaves. Crowd behaviour is a well known fenomenon documented in all psychology books. Plus in all fairness I doubt all those people running over that poor employee really realized what they were doing and that he was dying and all that. Things like that usually happen in a matter of seconds and I'm sure if asked about right now they would be outraged and disgusted at their own behaviour. I think it is Walmart's responsibility to take all of the necessary precautions to protect their employees and customers.
  9. ***The store reopened around 1 p.m. Now that seems WRONG to me. Just goes to show how much they value their workers and customers! Wonder if they had extra security that time.
  10. If you have account with them I would sign in. I had some trouble with Kohl's in the past where it cleaned out my cart like 3 times and I spent entire evening trying to add items back in. Now I sign in everytime before adding anything to shopping cart.
  11. I think most of them are available on-line (and yes all of them said avail. in store only!.) I just bought 10 items that were all early bird specials and they were all available. I'm so happy I can go to sleep now. I don't know how you guys do it but I don't think I would be able to go anywhere right now. Items do sell out quickly though!!! I didn't think I would ever be able to check out. First one pattern of fleece blanket was sold out, then some patterns of big plush blanket and of course Kohls tells you that on the last page of the checkout.
  12. If you had items in your cart before 1a.m. you have to click on each one add to shopping bag again and then delete the other one. That's what I just had to do since I added all of the items I wanted before the sale started.
  13. Yeh, I was wondering about this too. I must have clicked like 10 times and not once did I see available on-line. I just kept seeing available in stores only. So does anyone know what will be available online?
  14. Thanks Brad I suspected that. You're right. That's something I could get excited about but not if it's from the orig. price.
  15. This might be a stupid question but they have Roombas on sale right now. So Roomba 415 is down to $145 from $199. On black Friday 40% discount will be taken from original price or this sale price?
  16. My 1st thought is they are not as popular this year as they were the previous year and there's no more hype around them, hence they would not bring in the crowds if offered as door busters and/or big sale items. I'm myself in the market for toys and was curious to see not a single Elmo Live in any of the ads.
  17. Thanks! Ordered 4 ClickStart My First Computer Games and Adaptor for a little over $50. So about $11 per software. They are on sale too - $15 down from $20. So I got about 1/2 off. I actually wanted to get 3 games but then I would have had to pay $9 shipping (they also have free shipping for orders over $50) instead for $2 more I got free shipping and a whole game!
  18. Huffy 16" Bicycles (Power Rangers or Cinderalla) $49.99 (down from orig. $69.99) don't know if that's a good deal but it is early-bird special at ToysRUs. From my experience last year a horrible store to be at on Black Friday. You have to be 1st in line to score anything and the lines are huge. Prob. won't be going there this year.
  19. You read my mind. I was just about to look through the ads for a bike as well. I have dd 31/2 so I'm in the same boat. We never fitted her for a bike (she did have Shwinn tricycle that this summer) I've noticed you mentioned 16" is that ideal for this age group over 12"? She has a cold now so I don't know if we'll be able to stop by the store to try it before BF. She's also in 95% for hight so she's def. a tall girl. I think I saw that KMart has a bike deal and I think they might have all bikes discounted on-line in their Thanksgiving Day sale. On-line they have all bikes including Dora, Princess, Barbie how do you know which one is better or are they all comparable? Sorry for so many quest. I've never been a bike gal myself so this is totally new to me.
  20. Did some more research on the Internet (this is from FatWallet forums, doubt it will allow me to post the link, but I'll try in anyway: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/878690) This is the actual post: Received these yesterday... Definitely NOT real wood. Might be composite wood? If not, then it's plastic. All in all, a real nice set that my kids (and others) are going to love playing with. Not quite the same as the Lincoln Logs of my youth but a great deal nonetheless. EDIT: Stopped by TRUs to pick up a couple of things and checked out "real" Lincoln Logs while I was there. They seem to be comparable to the Yukon Logs. Maybe I'm just not familiar with what wood feels like?
  21. Ok, so the link doesn't work, maybe because it is from the competitor website but in anyway the quote about lead is from slickdeals.net
  22. This is from another forum (NOT ME!): I have a set of these already and they DO NOT contain led. I contacted the company and did research. NO LEAD Just becuase someone said it on the internet doesn't mean it's true. http://***********************/showthread.php?threadid=1020023
