I wonder if it's possible they are making mistakes with scanning a toy here or there and then by default the rest of them are scanning at that price?? The reason I say that is because I found this Thomas Train set for Take-Along trains in the clearance isles the night before 75% clearance started. I was affraid it will be gone 1st thing so I brought it a few isles over and put it on top of some bike helmets. The next morning when I went to retrieve it I was surprised to find that it actually had a red sticker on it with 75% price tag. It was weird (but awesome!!!) that they stickered it but never moved it back to Toys. Well Today I was at another Target and I saw a bunch of them in the REGULAR ISLE with all new toys and at full price!! Now I wonder if they have marked it by mistake or why that Target had it on clearance but this one hadn't?? I understand about diff. Targets having diff. percents off but do they also have certain Toys that get discounted at some Targets but stay at full price at others?? (When I found that set before I moved it, it did have a red tag with 50% price on it. So it was def. a clearance item...)

I haven't heard anything but I really hope it is Macy's that would have to do that!!! I'm still so mad at them for one Lancome purchase that I made there a while ago. In our store there are actually two Lancome counters and both of them had this huge Free Make-up bag and lots of free make-up displayed under a glass display and the big sign said Free Gift with purchase. Also when I looked there were no dates specified for that special. After I selected and paid for some make-up I proceeded to ask about the gift and was then informed that they had no such special and they will not have another special for another few month at least.. At that point I chickened out and proceeded to pay for the make-up I selected because I didn't want to look cheap.. After I came home I wrote an e-mail on their website to let them know about my dissapointing experience and that I have lost all confidence in their store and that I wasn't even sure if the employees of that particular Macy's have pocketed those gifts or what?? Because you know they still had those 2 huge gift sets under a glass at both counters, so why wouldn't they give me one of those?? But all I got was an e-mail letting me know they got my feedback but I never heard anything back from them after that.. I think I might have even wrote them another e-mail inquiring about the status and again NOTHING!!! So needless to say I will never shop for make-up at Macy's ever again but I REALLY HOPE they are the ones who were sued!!!

Yeh..I think ON is doing it pretty shady this year to say the least.. Shopped their store tonight and some of the stuff had clearance tags underneath the current tags that were obiously a couple of bucks cheaper.. We asked the cashier about it too and without even blinking she went on to tell us how the things did indeed went up in price but with extra 50% off it comes out cheaper than before.. Well DUH!!! It should be cheaper... I think the least they could do is not be so obvious about it..but I really do hate when Companies do these so-called sales with raising the prices and then marking it down "supposedly" by a certain percentage..

Hey guys, I'm sending a msg. to my friend about this awesome Toy sale but her daughter is only 6 month old. so I also want to let her know about the Baby sale.. What % is that now?? Is it the same with the Baby section the stuff keeps being marked lower and will eventually get to 75% off? Do we know aprox. when that will happen?? I guess I've been seeing talks of Baby stuff being marked on Mondays so is that what you guys do, just check every Monday for new mark-downs?? This thread has gotten so long it's too hard to go back and find any info and my kids are toddlers/preschoolers now so I haven't been following that discussion. (Too bad I didn't know any of this when my kids were babies!!!)

That's strange because I was thinking the opposite. The three Targets I went to seemed to have the same items marked-down to the same %. But they did all have some items that the other two didn't so it's still worth it to check out as many as poss.

Def. Old Navy. That's where I bought all of my maternity clothes both pregnancies. I got it all on-line too. Just go to their clearance section and they usually have a ton there to pick from. And you can always return to their store if it doesn't fit, which is awesome.

If anyone sees Biscuit or Little Einsteins rocket at 75% could you please post ASAP so I can go grab it!! Thanks.

Ok, so I'm wondering about one other thing right now: When I was at the store there was one toy (can't remmember which now) that had red tag with 75% off price but when I flipped the toy over there was another red tag there with 30% price. I just remmembered it now because I was showing hubby the train table I scored and it has the red tag with 19.98 price on one side of the box but the back side of the box has another red tag with $56 price. Has anyone else noticed that?? Because now I'm wondering if I might have missed some Toys at the store that were clearanced down to 75% because I looked at the wrong red tag.. Gush..this toy sale sure is difficult..

So what's everyone's game plan at this point?? I am too tired from shopping at 3 Targets Today to go anywhere Tomorrow. There are still things that I would like to buy - Biscuit, Handy Manny, Little Einstein.. Do you think they won't do any further mark-downs until next Wed/Thu now or what?? The guys (young) at one Target told me they won't be doing any mark-downs for sure for a couple of weeks now since they did so much Today marking to 30%, from 30% to 50% and from 50% to 75%.. It didn't look like they were lying..but I don't know how much they really knew.. They seemed surprised when I told them this sale is different from previous years, so I'm guessing this might be their 1st year working there so maybe that's why they thought that..

I'm not in NY (CT actually) but our Target had table hockey (I think) at 75%. Actually that was the only thing that had 75% signs next to them. The rest had 30% when in fact most Toys were tagged 75%. I think they were 39.xx down from 140 or something like that.

The funny thing is when I pulled into the Target driveway I saw a woman with a cart full and a Target employee was helping her get the heavy stuff into her car. That was my first sign the Toy sale has begun!! So I rushed in.. The poor guy only had a Red Target short-sleeved tee-shirt on too and it was snowing!!

All three Targets in CT - Hartford area were finally at 75% off and the rest of the stuff was at 30-50%. Can I just say I'm exhausted..My ds1 was such a trooper too..not complaining at all. I got $150 worth of stuff - all 75% off. The big items that I still want but were not 75% are: Handy Manny Truck/Tools, Little Einsteins Rocket, Biscuit, Digital Art Studio and maybe the Barbie furniture set that I saw... I bought dd3 wooden doll house (Amazon sale) and even though this set is plastic and for Barbie I'm wondering if I can use it in there... So I first stopped by the Target that's closest to me and the signs still said 30% off around 9:45 a.m. There were no employees and no one shopping in there. I looked at some of the tags and they were all only 30-50% so I almost left. (Go figure after I knew that I needed to look at ALL toys closely and that signs don't mean much. I don't know what I was thinking...) I also noticed there were a bunch of carts sitting all along the wall. Well, I thought those were all new Toys that needed unloading and that's why I thought the clearance wasn't happening Today. Well I looked inside one cart and the stuff in there was 75% off!!! So I started digging and found a bunch of Take Along Thomas toys and one Thomas set 75%!!! The other carts had Batman and Indiana Jones, Magnetix and all those other older kids' kind of Toys that I didn't need. I also found all "Cars" sets at 75% along the wall behind the carts, which was also kind of strange.. Actually as I was shopping in those carts a couple of people came by and left not even taking one look inside. I don't know if they though I was an employee or what..I mean I had my ds1 with me, right?? Then I realized a bunch of stuff on the shelves was at 75% as well so I just had to look at each tag. For a good half hour I was the only one shopping there!! I then hurried to the Target 25 mi. away as they had the train tables and Buiscuits. Got there around 11:30 and grabbed the Train Table!! The employee commented how these were going fast and that another woman has just grabbed one and now I was taking the last one!! (Yeh, I know they had two, I've been looking at them for over a week now..) Funny story: Last night I saw Thomas tracks set and I knew it will be gone so I misplaced it 3 rows down in the bike helmets section. Now, I never do that but this was just too tempting. So Today I was thinking it wouldn't do me any good as this was prob. the only one and so how would I get them to scan it at 75%? Esp. since I have seen some Thomas sets Today with 50% stickers and others at 75% so they would just tell me this one hasn't gone on clearance yet. Well, after I grabbed the train table I went to retrieve the set and boy was I surprised when it was not only there but also had a red sticker with 75% price!!! I thought that was super weird how they stickered it but didn't bother to bring it back to the Toy section!!! I'm not a regular shopper at Target but I did notice last night they have on their doors that if they make a mistake pricing/ringing up something (or something to that effect) that they will give it to you for free. I wonder when does that actually apply?? Because I had a similar situation yesterday with some "Cars" stickers that had a red clearance sticker on them but when I scanned them they were ringing full price. Now I know the employee who put the sticker on there made a mistake and these stickers were not clearanced (so this was actually to my benefit) but when I asked my hubby (regular Target shopper) yesterday about it he told me they should have given that to me for free, cause they had made a mistake.. But obiously I never asked them to do that, I was just happy I got those stickers for half price..

I'm wondering which Target I should visit 1st: So this one Target closest to me has had clearance toys organized for over a week and were putting out new toys today. This other Target (25 miles from me) only finally organized the clearance into one section Today and have not put out any new Toys yet (just have empty shelves) The only thing is this Target actually has some of the bigger items that I really want: Biscuit, Train Table, etc. I'm torn which Target I should run to in the morning?? Do you guys think this second Target will spend their time tomorrow putting out new Toys rather than do the 75% sale?

Anyone in CT - Hartford area seen 75%?

I'm confused what # should I have to call Target to verify where Toys are at? Is it DCPI (sp??) I assume these are universal for all Targets so I can call using some of these numbers you guys have been posting?

I know Target is great with clearances and whatever.. but is this even legal? Them telling something to customers which is untrue?? Everyone knows not to call Target cause you will never get the right answer.. I don't know that's not really the kind of business that gives me Warms and Fuzzies.. I'm getting tired of going to Target a zillion times to see if the clearance has started and now on top of it I might need to go a few times a day??? That's just silly. I understand the whole thing about keeping a secret all of these great deals but one would have hoped to get a TRUE answer when the sale is already happening... Are they really trying to make money or just have bad mgmt or something?? It really makes me wonder when I see all those things marked-down to 50-75% yet the signs still say 15-30%. Now if it were me I would have put HUGE SIGNS with the highest % and have mostly toys marked-down at the lowest percent. Don't you want to advertise the sale and then get the most money.. Now, Target is forced to keep marking down because no one knows about the Sales.. I mean it's fabulous for us GottaDealers but really makes me wonder about them!! Sorry for the vent, I'm just really not in a mood to go to Target yet again tonight after I have already spent there all my morning..

Still 30-50% here in CT. Just lots of activity putting new toys out. Those character bath sets are 50% now although signs still say 15%. I picked up 5 for ds2 B-day party favors. Good price at 2.50. Prob. could have waited until 75% as there's still a lot left, but I decided not to risk it. Also in party goods they've had race cars themed party stuff on clearance for a while. It is down to 50% now so I picked some big and little plates, cups and plastic table cloth things. Just have to figure out now a creative way to package those bath party goods as they obiously will not fit in those small plastic party bags.. (There's also a coupon floating someplace online for $3 off $25 (I think) papper goods but I couldn't use it as my totals were no where near that... Also I'm wondering, on certain items (like these bath sets) do they have some # that differentiates them from each other?? I mean they are all priced the same.. So when these go down to 75% can I buy some other random ones (if they don't have the ones I want) and return with 50% receipt??

QUESTION So I went to a local Target tonight and I was shocked to see their Toy section. It was not organized at all!!! The clearance stuff was still all over the place (not put together like I've seen at other Targets). Also the end caps had clearance stuff too. There was one whole shelf that was almost empty and there were empty holes in other isles. So does this mean this Target is not having their Toys go to 75% tomorrow?? or prob. not even Thursday?? Do the Targets usually organize their Toy section before having the mark-downs?? This was my 1st choice as they seem to have a bigger variety of Toys than the other Targets but now I don't know... Should I instead check-out the other (smaller) Target tomorrow morning as they had their clearance stuff organized on 3 shelves a week ago... (Also there wasn't a single employee doing anything in that Toy section either) PLS. ADVISE!!!

Is there anyway to know (find out) if the 3 Targets I shop at (CT) do Toy mark-downs on Wed. or Thu?? I mean I will be checking both dates in anyway (but I really have to make it a plan to wake my ds1 up early to get there early and I don't know if I want to do it 2 days in a row if they mark down on Thu.) If not, is there anyone in CT viewing this thread who shops in Hartford area - Targets, who knows their schedule?
