Hmm.. I read your review and I was curious so we opened ours Today. Well, it was actually last night but directions said to charge it first for 8 hrs. so we didn't get to test it until Today. I have to say I had the complete opposite experience with it so far.. We turned it on and hubby kept saying how cool this thing is and how it is well worth the 37.xx. Now, my hubby is big time into Blu-ray technology and high definition (he's very up-to-date on TV/DVD stuff) so he doesn't get easily impressed but he LOVED this DVD player. It seems very sturdy and easy to operate. No problems with resolution what-so-ever. We did have a minor problem in the beginning, as per my hubby's words, when he first turned it on the player didn't work. It would not play anything and after careful inspection hubby noticed a little piece of plastic stuck in the place where the reader is (I have no idea where that is.) So he used our Laptop blower/cleaner and once the plastic got blown away it started working like a charm! I also want to mention that the charging-blinking light was only on for a few hours (not entire 8 hrs.) Not sure if that meant battery got completely charged much sooner but we kept charging it for full 8 hrs. just in case. So far I'm happy about this purchase!!

**Glad your boys like the rockets. I also bought two and plan on giving them to dd3 and ds1 for Valentines. I think it might be cute as they are red (perfect color :)) and that's the closest Holiday in anyway.. They are HUGE Little Einsteins fans so I can't wait..

What kind of Correlle dishes are these and what % off? I really want to buy Correlle cereal bowls.. I've been seeing one Correlle set marked-down but not a big percent off as it still cost way too much. I think it's white with green pattern and if I remember correctly plates are squareish.. I wonder if that's the one you are talking about. Thanks!

Anyone found/got this one: Playhut Carnival Ball Zone. I got it at 75% but it has such poor reviews I think it's going back. (We bought ball pit for kids a while back and it just didn't work for us. All they would do is flip it over and climb all over it and the way they were playing with it was plain dangerous so I thought I would give it another shot with this one.. The pkg. looks soo cool, but the reviews are one star!! I'm really bummed I missed the 75% shoes sale!! I never realized Target has some decent shoes. I did buy two pairs (leather fall shoes and suade snikers for ds1 and laquer blue shoes for dd3 but that is all they had left) Can someone tell me when (aprox.) around the year they discount shoes to 75% so I make sure not to miss it next time. Also since I'm always looking for good shoes discounts (Amazon, shoes.com, etc.) I want to plan which shoes I need to buy from them as opposed to waiting for them to be discounted at Target. Thanks!

**Maybe we could start a thread in the Discussion Forum to discuss these Toys and our kids' experiences with them as well as any previous experiences?? I don't know if I want to open all these Toys and check them out as it will take forever but I'm affraid they be a total bust once we do open them and by that time it will be April/July/Dec so no way to return!! Because some people have B-days coming up now and Target return policy is 90 days!!

**That reminds me, my hubby and I had a good chuckle last night when we realized ds1 has been walking all over the house with his sister's Toy Dora shopping cart loading all kinds of other Toys into it. He especially loves to carry around balls. Silly me, I didn't even realized it at first just mentioned to hubby that I thought that was cute and he told me: who do you think he's imitating? Duh!! (He stays home with me so we've been stalking Target together :))

Nice pic! :) Yours looks different though. I have a Nissan Maxima and the only place to put the box would have been the trunk. It's very large and long but obiously not very high..so I doubt it would fit. I already got so many big boxes and big presents for the kids too (Smart Cycle, FP DVD Player, Digital Arts & Crafts Studio, Step 2 and Circo train tables, Handy Manny Truck, 2 Little Einsteis Rockets not to mention all the Thomas Train and McQueen stuff) and they are still very young dd3 & ds1 that I think I can wait until next year. Wonder if they will come out with another animal or what??

**I got that one too!! My hubby has 201 version and LOVES his. I think he did all kinds of reviews before he bought his and he runs 3 times a week every week... Not sure what we're going to do with this one but I couldn't pass it up when I saw the price since I know he paid like 4 times more for his. Funny thing is I went to another Target and spotted another one exactly like that but it had no red sticker and scanned at $99.99?? I wanted to ask someone with a gun to scan it but then I thought wouldn't it have to be discounted to 30% then 50% first??

The other two Targets in CT near me went 75% Today. One I called around 9 and they were giving me 50% prices but when I went over at 4 p.m. everything was 75% except for the Furreal Dog and Biscuit. They still had red tags with 50% price and a big 50% sign in front. They were all together on the end cap too where everyone could see them so not sure if they were 75% or not. This Target has old scanners so no way to key in DCPI. This Target was still full of stuff: Smart Cycles, Rose Cottage/Market, Einstein Rockets, KidiArtStudio, etc. This might be a good tip for someone else.. this Target is in the town which is not considered too hot. It's demographics is lower-middle class I think. Well, I have found it has sooo much more merchandise left after Christmas to be discounted and even after it was being discounted it was still not flying off the shelves nearly as fast as all other Targets near me. I have actually found the same thing with their mall, during JCPenney clearance, they still had so many good deals after all Malls near me were completely sold out of everything.. So it might be worth checking Targets in neighborhoods with lower income as opposed to high income if you want to score some deals (I hope no one will find this statement offending. I'm just trying to pass on an observation and share my good experience..) So here's what I got Today from 2 diff. **I just walked away from 3 Smores too!! They did have a big sign in front of it saying 50% and the red stickers all said 99.xx (or something similar) but that whole store was 75% off so I doubt these were only 50%. I would have found out and got one for sure if I had a bigger car.. I don't think I would have been as strong as you!! But my hubby is the one who drives SUV so I decided to walk away.. BTW my motivation was Live Elmo who's been sitting in the corner since Christmas. The only person who plays with it is me :). (At least I got it for $27.xx)

Yey!! Jusr talked to hubby and he said roads are fine to drive so we'll be headed to Target in an hour or so.. Cause I'm looking out the window and apparently our condo complex hasn't been cleaned up as much so it still looks kinda bad, but I guess the main roads are fine.. I don't go anymore without calling and checking DCPI's with guest services. Makes it so much easier to know where and when to go. That's how I found out this morning that out of 4 Targets in my area only 1 (closest to me) went 75%. Good thing it was this one too, cause I barely made it with this snow storm. I wouldn't have gone any further.. Just make sure to check an item that they have a lot of in the store (I've started using DCPI's for Sleeping Beauty because that is one toy they have plenty of in all my Targets.)

**Also funny story, somehow I started talking to this couple who happened to walk by the Toy section and couldn't believe the price of that Smart Cycle. So I told them everything in this isle 75%. I also told them that it went 75% this morning and about some other Targets in our area and what they have on clearance and so on and so forth.. Finally the guy asked me if I worked at Target!! They kept asking me questions and couldn't believe how much I knew about this sale and other things going on in Target :). They were dissapointed they missed the Baby sale on Monday.. And just to think I only started shopping at Target myself after New-Year!!!

So I just risked my life to see what 75% looked like at my Target. When I left it wasn't too bad as some of the snow was cleared by plow trucks and it was raining. Just slushy mess. Well by the time I left Target and headed home slush turned into ice and it was A SCARY experience, to say the least! Plus she's sooo impatient.. I don't know if she can handle this toy!! Also, take a look at the Books section. There were a lot of discounts on sticker, coloring, look & find books. There were some cool coloring books with big crayola attached. There was also a Princess with Magic Wand book. I think it's supposed to talk when the wand is pointed at it. Well it wasn't stickered but when I scanned it it came out 50%. There were other books similar to this one (Dora, etc.) but I didn't bother to scan them. Seems like there are a lot of discounts in this section and many books not marked so I would scan lots..

A question, which Sleeping Beauty is better - the one with fairy god mothers or the one with the bed?? I'm only getting it because I managed to find Sleeping Beauty horse 75% but I don't know which one to get. Any opinions welcomed.. Also the Rose Pettal Cottage and accessories, which age girls are you getting this one for?? Thanks!

I have to say I'm not surprised about the ornament boxes. I knew that will happen because Today I funally broke down and put away all Christmas ornaments into the plastic ornament box I got a few weeks ago for 6.xx. I wasn't sure if I would find something cheaper/better so I kept holding out but then I didn't see any at Target yesterday.. But this morning as I was putting stuff away I kept thinking - I know I will find a ton of these from now on since I don't need one anymore. :) How much were they in anyway??
