OK WoW I think you're really taking this waaay to the extreme. That's not what I said or anyone else said. But if you were so worried about him from the start so maybe at 15 he was too young to be going alone in the first place. Like I said I wasn't trying to attack you personally, it just seemed like since you weren't the one that "technically" picked up the items it was ok for your daughter. I just stated your daughter cut in line with you. Sorry if you feel like we're being mean but it's only our opinions.

But "your son" wasn't the one to get it either, your daughter was and she cut as well, because from what I think I remember reading he was the only one standing in that line between the three of you. And since he was the one in line and if he couldn't get it then you shouldn't have got them at all. If I'm not understanding the story right then I apologize!! I just think it was wrong and hope the people I run into this BF don't do the same. Just my opinion of course so please don't take offense!

I've never sold them. If I get a ticket and change my mind I've given them away. Sometimes to the next person in line that didn't get one or someone I've been chatting with and know they need more than one for their 2 kids. Hmm maybe I should sell them! lol

But are they going to go down the line to each other person that's now in line to say "OH by the way, I'm saving a spot for someone so you're really not # 10 & 11 you're actually #11 & 12" and so on to each person who gets in line? Then there's only 10 laptops or whatever the huge doorbuster is at that store. It's just that if it's ok for a person to hold a spot for 1 friend, then everyone should get that too and like I said in my last post, if you're #9 or #10 you should probably just about double that number and now you're pretty much out of getting whatever doorbuster you may be there for. So I don't even think it's ok for "just one". It's just not the right thing to do. I feel you're either there or you're not. If you just have to wait in line with someone that doesn't get there on time then when they do arrive just go to the back of the line with them. ** When I typed "you" in mean it to be a general "you". I'm not trying to attack the OP for asking the question or any one for their replies!

Exactly. How fair is it that I got my butt up and out only to have someone come walking up and jumping in line? I don't think it's right for 1 person or 10. Like Happy said if everyone did this and you were say the 10th person in line you'd now be back to about 20th. You want your spot in line get up, get your butt out of the house and stand out in the bitter cold (at least up here) like everyone else. With the 30 min thing so if someones late by a minute or two it would then make it wrong for the person to cut?

Holy Cow 15min !! That's great :) I ususally talk to people, try to play hand held games (thanks Donovan for letting mommy borrow it ), but my hands were too cold to use it really. We had white out conditions and the temps were just bitter cold, so trying to get my fingers to work was almost impossible! Usually when I get to talking to people they say what they're looking for and I'll tell them what I'm looking for and we actually try to help each other if we can. Sometimes you meet really nice people. Sometimes Not= lady in wheelchair, you know who you are. Since everyone else I know is sleeping at that time there's no one for me to call. LOL I suppose I could call DH and make him talk to me.

LOL Love the ideas! You all are too funny.. but also very helpful. He's heard so much about BF from me that he's so ready to go NOW! I've laid down the law to him as in no window shopping, getting off course, checkin' out chicks (he's engaged anyways), stay focused and eyes ahead don't look back. ROFL Unless you hear your momma scream of course! I've always gone by myself but I'm really looking forward to him going. Out of everyone else I know he's the only one I would consider taking along. I don't think he'll have a problem keeping up with the Vets.

LOL With our kids getting older we could use all the good deals we can get. Plus our oldest sons Bday is Nov. 8th. But some of the things he wanted were for his cage fighting training so I can't get that kind of stuff at places like WalMart.

Personally if I didn't have anyone to watch my kids (if they were that young) I'd stay home. But some have had some really good ideas about asking friends etc. helping out. Maybe even having a sleepover? I mean the adult (friend) and if they have a young child maybe they along with yours could camp out in the living room or where ever to help make it a little fun and you won't have to worry about it. I know for me I'd be concerned that two toddlers that young would be a lot to handle for a 13 yr old especially in a car. There's not a lot of room to move around and if something happens how will the teen get ahold of you to come out of the store? I mean if one starts screaming or throwing a tantrum about being cooped up how is the teen going to be able to handle that. Just so many things could happen while in a car/parking lot and I wonder if someone walking by would call CPS or the Cops, not knowing what's going on and thinking they were actually helping. KWIM!? Just some thoughts, I hope you don't mind. Best of luck with whatever you decide! Hopefully this will all be for nothing and your mom will be able to babysit for you!!!! Keeping fingers crossed!
