  1. OMGosh I totally forgot, was busy making Poppyseed and Apricot Rolls. By the time I remembered the news was just about over. I could kick myself! Anyone see it??
  2. I'm not sure if it actually came yesterday or today. I don't think anyone got the mail from yesterday so I'm not sure which day.
  3. Yea these are all in the BF Ad I just got out of our mailbox today, so it either came yesterday (because I don't think we got the mail from then) or the mail came early today.
  4. I was surprised to see it in our mailbox today. We got their regular Ad and a second Ad that the BF 5-11 am Friday only one. Anyone else get this? I guess I'm more shocked because we normally don't even get their regular Ads for the week.
  5. OMGosh Christmas Vacation !! lol Love it! We have to watch it every year and each time we laugh like it's the first time we seen it.
  6. Yep they also have the original red snowsuit Ralphys little brother (I think it was) wore, where he couldn't put his arms down. It's amazing how many original items they have been either able to buy or have donated. One thing I didn't know was most of the movie was shot on a sound stage in Canada I believe, not in the actual house. Some were from in the house but not that many. At least that's what I heard on the news when they reported from there with the owner.
  7. Usually if it's a more expensive gift it comes from us because we have told our kids Santa can't get such high priced things (like X-Box or whatever) since he has so many kids to give to. But if we get games to go with the game systems they come from Santa, they're wrapped in wrapping paper with Santas all over it. When they (well just our youngest now) see that paper he knows it's from Santa. We also give them a gift from Mrs. Clause, usually a set of hat and gloves maybe socks too. I just giggle and tell him that's the mother coming out in her so he has to wear them! LOL
  8. Oh there's a Huge difference, I think! My MIL uses what I consider good fruit not a bunch of "filler fruit" like the Green Cherries if that's what those are-gross. Seriously if you know someone that can bake well and they make them give it a try. You may be surprised!
  9. We usually have something easy or take out. I tell my DH this way he'll be More Thankful the next day.
  10. STOP it!!! I already feel like this :runaway: I'm getting too excited and feel like a 5 yr old on Christmas Eve!
  11. Yep I hear ya! Sleep ??!! Who needs sleep!!?? j/k But I really don't go to sleep because I figure I'll have to go through the whole waking up process and since I'm not a morning person I just stay up. LOL Otherwise I'd move waaay too slow and forget half of what I need.
  12. You are such a wonderful person. It's a great feeling to give, especially to someone who isn't expecting it. Have fun shopping!
  13. OH OK Thanks! I think I'll pass I don't want to order 8 games.
  14. Someone from this thread may be able to help! And Welcome fellow Canadian :) http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=48982
  15. OK maybe I'm just really dumb but... where do you click to pre order. I see no button or anything to click on. I did see preorder for one of the games but not the system. Can anyone help?! Thanks
  16. You know what I totally forgot about that from last year and was checking it out for this year. Not now though! Thanks for the reminder
  17. Still having my father to celebrate with. It's still hard for us especially during the Holidays having my mom gone. She always made Thanksgiving & Christmas so special, even when I was little and the times we didn't have much money. I keep so many memories locked inside my mind and try to pass them onto my kids. Even just the smell of cookies & using the old cookie press she used, christmas tree (when we could afford a real one), or whatever, takes me back years. It's very comforting.
  18. Hey maybe we can throw a wrench in it all and start a rumor that BF was cancelled this year. ROFL Just kidding of course!
  19. You started a post about this here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55616
  20. WoW excellent job! I don't know how you do it, even with the clearance sales it must be hard. I was in your postion many years ago with my oldest and remember how hard it was. Nice Job!!:)
  21. We've saved just over $1,200 between change, and bills here and there throughout the year thrown in a box. I guess it really adds up. We normally like to get a family gift and really don't set an amount per child, but try to keep it reasonable. It's a little hard because our oldest just turned 20 and is going to be getting married and our other son is 10. So while it sometimes seems like the younger one gets more it's really just that some of the things he usually wants are cheaper. Our oldest son understands so we don't have a problem. Some of the $$ we've saved will probably also buy some food for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
  22. Oh tell your son I and my family Thank Him for what he does ( my Dh & Dad served in the Navy)and to stay safe, take care! I'm glad he'll be home for Christmas! <<Hugs>>to ALL who serve and their families
  23. Well TG night is suppose to be 37 and BF in the 40's ! Whoooo Heat wave!!!
  24. LOL I was kind of shocked that they were the frist to have theirs pulled. I thought it'd be someone like Wal Mart, Kmart or someone like that. Oh well I don't shop there anyway.
